New Opportunities
As she contemplates her next move, her phone suddenly rings. She answers it, her brow furrowing as her secretary's voice fills the line.
"Ms. Emerson, I have some news that I think you'll be interested in. We have a new shareholder, and the company has partnered with another firm."
Robin's eyes widen, and she sits straighter in her chair. "A new shareholder? And a partnership?." Her mind races with the possibilities, the betrayal she felt from Ramsey momentarily forgotten.
"Yes, ma'am. The new shareholder will arrive for a live conference call in a few minutes. I thought you'd want to be here for that," her secretary explains.
Her mind whirs, the gears turning as she considers the implications. "This could be exactly what we need to turn things around."
"Shall I set up a conference call with the new partners?" her secretary asks.
