After tearing off as many scales from the worm that I could and placing them inside my bag. I walked inside the worm, curious to see what's inside.
Even after the worm died, it's digestive fluid was still noxious. But I persisted, walking down inside. I got a special feeling that I'd find something valuable inside.
I expected the inside to start getting smaller, the deeper I went but surprisingly it actually got even more spacious.
It was like I entered a small pocket dimension.
As I ventured down, the temperature started rising and the air felt more humid than before. It was an incredibly uncomfortable and unique feeling.
Soon I enter a circular area which I firmly believe to be its abdomen. Specifically the stomach, within was a pool of stomach acid and there was a small island in the middle of it. Where a single plant, a flower stood.
It stood proudly, reflecting the a seafoam green colored acid that surrounded it.
I quickly thought of what my chances were if I were to jump. It was pitifully low considering I have a not so athletic physique.
I quickly left and returned to the stomach area with some of the meter long scales of the sandworm.
I hesitated for a second before ultimately deciding to throw it onto the acid using it as a platform on top of the pool.
I used 2 more before jumping one last time onto the small island. As I got closer, I realized that despite having the appearance of a daisy from afar, it looked a lot like a bomb that had just detonated.
Reaching my hand out to pluck this 'explosive' crystal flower. My hand felt like it was burning and was slowly getting hotter the closer I got.
Unable to continue, I took back my hand. I thought 'Why is this thing even in here? Did the worm inhale this thing by accident somehow?'
I turned around deciding that this was too troublesome, when I saw that despite having laid on top of the pool of acid for a while, the scales remained strong.
I wonder if an actual light bulb appeared when I garnered the thought of using some of the scales as a shovel and pot for the flower.
Quickly jumping and running back outside and returning immediately. I used one scale to dig around the flower and the other as a sort of makeshift pot. Carefully scooping the flower and it's 'soil' and placing it on top of the makeshift pot.
I left much slower than usual, but at least I got something in return.
Shorter Chapter, but hopefully didn't feel too fast paced like my other ones. Thank you for reading
