Chapter: 18 What a surprise

"How the fuck did I end up locked in this room?" was what Dylan said as he watched the door close after pulling a card out of an electronic box.

"Ugh! There's no choice but to ask that woman for help!"

[A few hours earlier]

"Hey my name is Dylan, when you need help, call me okay?" I said to regina, but she apparently ignored me. Giving a sigh I proceed through the door and into the jungle.

Advancing cautiously I prepare my shotgun in case I have to defend myself, fortunately the path is clear of undergrowth and I can move easily.

As I advanced and watched my sides I became alert as I heard a movement on my right side, as I turned around a raptor jumped out of the brush and stood in front of me, a second jumped and stood on my back and the third on my right side.

Without hesitation I shot the one in front of me, BANG! being very close to me the bastard received all the pellets, doing great damage and making him fall down in pain, turning around I quickly shot the second one that jumped on me.

The shot hit him in the head, blowing off a part of it, the third one jumped to catch you off guard, but the idiot didn't make it, as I rolled to the side and dodged him, quickly getting up, took aim and shot him, hitting him squarely in his body.

The raptor let out a shriek of pain as he fell and writhed in pain, approaching him I pulled out my machete and with a slash in his stomach I managed to kill him.

"Ugh, I must remember that these bastards hunt in groups and are very smart, I must be more careful" taking a breath I hurry forward, lest the shots have attracted the attention of more of these raptors.

As I moved forward I came across some stairs that would allow me to climb the small ravine that was there, while to my left there was a grilled door that would probably lead me towards the port "Well, I don't want to go back to the port, so let's keep moving forward".

As I went up I was fortunate that I didn't catch a glimpse of anything suspicious, hurrying a little I found a large ravine, just like the one behind, this one had stairs "Probably the surviving soldiers put them".

Going down I found a place that overlooks the forest, the trees are huge, and give me a flat view of everything there, moving forward I managed to be captivated by how beautiful this forest can be, it is so beautiful and deadly at the same time.

I went down another ravine, but this time I came across human structures, possibly from the military base. Moving forward I killed another two raptors that I found on the way, when I reached the structure I saw that it was a sliding door, I would have to open it by force.

When I opened it I found a space that led to a water tower, as I advanced I found a person running. 

"Hey! Who are you?" I ran after the person, I looked up and only saw his silhouette climbing the water tower and shouted "Are you one of the survivors? Don't run! Come out! We've come to rescue you!" Silence was the only response I received 

"He's probably scared, ugh, I can't see if he's still there" Surrounding the tower I realized that the person I saw is no longer there, probably jumped off the other side of the structure

As I moved on and tried to find the survivor I came across a very sophisticated computer even for our time, as I approached this it automatically opened, giving me a menu showing the available weapons.

"What the fuck is this, was the military working is this?" clicking it showed me that there were no resources to make a weapon, only shotgun and pistol bullets were available.

"This looks good" clicking on shotgun ammo showed me a message the screen. 

<Scan your weapon to craft the corresponding ammunition>. 

Raising an eyebrow, I watch as the underneath of the computer opens up, placing my shotgun in that space, I watch as a laser scans the shotgun and another laser starts drawing 2 cartridge cases.

"Wow is he creating the ammunition by laser, why didn't they tell us about this technology?" coming out of my thoughts I see a message appear on the computer

<Insufficient materials, please reload>. 

"So it was only two boxes, well, this will keep me up to date a little longer" Taking the bullets, I proceed to put them away "Now it's time to follow the survivor."

Leaving the water tower I came across a road barred in from the sides, no doubt it was a military installation, I came across a destroyed military jepp, the road was quiet, I was fortunate not to encounter any dinosaurs. 

When I left the road I found an open area full of weeds and in front of it was another military installation "I'd better hurry, the survivor must have gone there".

As I entered the installation I found that it had containers that covered the road, fortunately I could pass through the sides.

When I took a few steps a roar caught my attention, when I looked towards where the roar was heard I saw how a container shot towards me, I threw myself to the side, I managed to get to the side.

I threw myself to the side, managing to save myself from being crushed, but my joy of having survived didn't last long, because the damn T-rex we fought in the camp came out of a wall.

How do I know it's the one in the camp? Easy, the bastard had his eye smashing, the rex when he saw me let out a roar.

ROAAAAA!

"Back for more, you one-eyed devil?" I shouted at it, to start running and try to find a safe place Passing the container I kept running towards the buildings I saw in the distance.

BAAANG!!!

Taking a glance back I saw him smash the container "Shit" I kept running and running past the other containers that were in the way.

BAANG! BAAANG! 

The sound of the containers being smashed made my heart race, just as I was about to enter a building I managed to see some people with helmets and black clothes pointing a gun at me. 

"Run idiots" I shouted at them, only to be greeted by some discs that I managed to dodge while running, seeing how these discs exploded when they hit the ground, I accelerated my pace, managing to enter the building.

ROAAAAR! 

The roar of the T-rex shook the room I was in, probably the Rex was very angry, as I had already escaped from him 2 times.

"Phew! I think I'm the only person to survive a t-rex twice, when I see that woman I'll brag about it, but I still don't understand, why those people attacked me, that outfit doesn't match the military uniform!" 

Leaving my thoughts behind, I go deeper into the building, passing through the only door I find myself in a corridor that looks worn and huge cockroaches are running along the walls "I did not pay much attention, but the facilities look too emaciated, as if it had been a long time since they were abandoned". 

Moving down the corridor as I think of a possible explanation, as I move a few meters forward I come across a door with a red cross sign "The medical area, I'd better investigate."

As I enter I take in a gruesome sight, dead bodies, you can tell they have been eaten by dinosaurs, by the bites and dismembered parts, inspecting the room I find the same computer as the water tower.

Upon opening it, some notes and a key fall out, picking them up I proceed to read them and what is written on it makes my eyes widen with astonishment:

"Dr. Marcus: log 10 Time Fold."

"Again the time has come.

June 14th. It is the day the 3rd energy accident occurred and we were all sent to this time. This is the 10th time I am writing this and I always feel the same despair.

The medicines in the medical area ran out in the first year. Since then we have been collecting wild plants that we do not know in an attempt to create medicines. Yet we have used them to heal the soldiers' wounds, when all we could do was wait to be rescued. Why haven't they come to rescue us? I have been thinking about it for the past ten years and have come to a conclusion: The time fold is due to the "Over multiplication" of the 3rd Energy.

However, our current technological level is not advanced enough to recover from the crash.

Even more years of research would not be enough. A mistake of ten or twenty years is insignificant compared to a slip of 65 million years. But that mistake, that small difference, could mean everything to us. We should never have put our hands on such a dangerous toy.

The only consolation is that we managed to replicate the functioning of the computers we found in that futuristic facility....

We probably weren't the only ones who were affected by the 3rd energy...If anyone ever reads this, there is a key card in the warehouse, that will help you get through the facility, good luck and god bless you, for we have been abandoned."

"10 years or more...How long have these people been in this time! It was only a few months...I don't understand...what is this 3rd energy thing, they didn't tell us they are capable of this..."

With my hands trembling I drop the file, taking a deep breath I manage to calm down a little, at the moment I look up, in the computer is marked with a green light a weapon with name

<Solid cannon, weapon invented for combat against fast dinosaurs that hunt in groups, it is a prototype violently vibrates particles, causes huge amount of damage>.

Frowning, I decide to squeeze the gun, the moment I squeeze it the bottom part opens and a laser starts to recreate the gun, in a matter of minutes the gun is ready, it is the size of a shotgun, stowing my shotgun in my back, I take the gun and proceed to fire a shot.

The moment I pull the trigger a ball of electricity pops up and makes a chirping bird sound "Oh man, now we're talking about a gun". 

As I leave the medical area, I hear some footsteps, pointing my new gun I see a raptor coming out of the corner of the hallway, upon seeing me this one rushes quickly towards me, pulling the trigger the same ball of electricity makes its presence, the raptor upon contact with it gives a shriek, jumping backwards he drops dead.

"Phew! With this it will be easier to deal with those idiots!"

Leaving the building, I notice that there are no footsteps that make the earth tremble "It seems that the Rex is gone, in the file it says that there is a card in the warehouse that will help me to pass through the facilities". 

Fortunately the warehouse was right next to the building I came out of, as I enter it, I head towards the only electronic box here, next to it there is a file stamped "Important" Taking it I start to read it:

"All material and instruments will be moved to the lab tomorrow. Starting next month there will be an extensive experiment related to time portals. 

There are not enough computers to store all the data, so we need everything we can gather. The time portal reanimation project has hit on something. We expect this experiment to take an effective course forward. Give all the keys to the lab to Lieutenant Wolf of the transport team. The key cards are kept in an electronic box on the wall of this room. Some 250 people have been moved to the Edward City residential area over the past month. It is now up to us to reanimate the time portal." 

"I understand, certainly this card will help me on my way." 

Moving to the electronic box I use the key I found in the medical room, when I insert it I turn it over and the electronic box opens.

But just at that moment an alarm begins to sound in the room "Incorrect key has been entered, Intruder present. This room will be locked" I see the door start to close, so I run to get out, but I don't make it.

I just hit the locked door "Ugh! Damn!"

Taking the communicator from my wrist I proceed to call out.

The sound of the communicator is heard "Is anyone receiving me? David, Regina, anyone, over."

[On the ship]

Regina could be observed pacing back and forth, with one hand on her ear and the other under her chest, further accentuating her attractiveness

With a smirk, regina replied "Your stupendous machete isn't enough? Well, I guess I can help you, over." 

Ignoring her mocking tone dylan replies "Okay, fine, I'll put a key as a marker in front of the door, don't abandon me, over and out." 

Hanging up the call, regina gives a sigh "Ah! Here we go again, I need to get ready." With that last comment regina begins to prepare the weapons she will take with her, she knows better than anyone the danger the dinosaurs represent. 

As she was getting ready a communication signal arrives and make her frown as she hears the message.

[In an Edward City facility]

My name is Lou wong, apparently I travel in time and I am in the game called dino crisis, as every otaku fan that I am I knew what world I was in, I was an agent of SORT, I discovered that I was in the game when I met who will be my future wife, Regina, her red hair like fire, that porcelain figurine, her jade skin captivated me, I went on a mission with her and others to Mexico.

I had to fake my disappearance, as I did not want to be the slave of another nation that was not my beautiful homeland.

I still haven't awakened my golden finger, I probably should wake up after living the events of the game, unfortunately I didn't manage to go to the xianchen island (ibis island) to live the events of the game.

That's why I infiltrated a research center and entered an experimental portal that would lead me to the events of the game.

Right now I am in a facility in Lian xuan city (Edward city) and my golden finger is finally activated.

"system Activated" that mechanical voice made me jump for joy.

Sorry I'm late, I had lost my inspiration, I'm currently going through a depression, I got fat, I got fired at work, nothing is going right for me.
