Prologue D F!?K

Pain..

So much Pain…

That is the first thing that hits me. Next was fear, followed closely by confusion. I am standing in a street surrounded by destruction and mayhem, and in the distant a giant fucking fox! Fire and screams all around me. Looking around a blade drops from my limp hand. I don't understand what is happening around me. The pain makes me think I'm not dreaming, but that I am in hell.

More pain hits and I fall to my hands and knees and vomit stomach acid and blood. Blood is coming out of my eyes, nose, and ears as well. Everything starts to spin faster and faster till it's all a blur of lights and noise. I scream my voice jagged like it's full of broken glass. With all the destruction around maybe it is. " this isn't happening" being repeated over and over in my mind. My voice still occupied with screaming to say it aloud.

Finally after mere seconds that felt like years of the build up of all of the pain, fear, and confusion everything fades to black. Unbeknownst to me I sprawl on the rubble filled street until I am found and taken to the hospital.

I will find later once I have awoken that I will have been in a coma for four days. During that time something was happening that gave me the only chance, however small, of surviving in this world. The memories and life of Nic the average fresh faced genin of less then a year in the genin corps and a nobody of Earth merged as one person. Hopefully, combined they can survive a crazy world of constant combat full of super powered ninjas without protection, bloodline, or massive talent.
