William, an internationally recognized game developer and also the mafia lord of the underworld, was on every country's wanted list because of his unparallel hacking and large control over highly classified information and power. Betrayed by his biological brother, who shot him to death, he was reincarnated in the world of warlocks. In a world where magic reigned absolute, he was constantly abused for not having magical power and was eventually sold to some slave merchants by his new family, where life became even hellish. Beaten to coma after being caught trying to escape, he woke up with a system which provided him with a second chance to prove himself. Being granted the ability to copy other people's magic by writing their names in the ancient grimoire. Jerouch was set on walking a path where even gods have fallen. What end would be the path of a nobody who ascended with the system as his support in a world full of mythical creatures, gods, dragons, and demons… --- Check out the new version, ascension of the strongest warlock.
Two F rank wolves jumped at Jerouch from his ten o'clock and two o'clock directions aiming to lock him in a pincer attack.
He kicked the ground and flew backwards, landing softly on his right leg. He raised his head and gazed at the two attackers who smashed the ground with their paws.
Before he could relax though, another F rank wolf approached him from the left, his mouth wide open, aiming to rip Jerouch apart.
'' Fire arrows. '' He muttered, activating the skill quickly.
Three arrows blazing with red flame each reaching a metre long manifested in the air and struck the three wolves.
One of the wolves had its left forelimb ripped apart and he rolled on the ground after losing his balance.
The second arrow pierced the second wolf's belly, while the other arrow roasted the third wolf's eye.
Using dash, he appeared close to his targets and punched each of them smashing their skulls.
'' Three down. '' He jumped in the air dodging a fast figure that approached him abruptly.
'' What speed? '' He squinted his eyes as he watched the wolf that propelled herself at him.
'' Using few skills while being surrounded by E rank monsters is not a good idea. '' Jerouch frowned, wiping the sweat on his forehead.
'' Howlll. ''
Jerouch heard a terrific howl coming from afar and his eyes instinctively trailed off into the distance.
'' It's starting already. '' He smirked, imagining the pains that the stronger wolves would be experiencing at the hands of the demoness.
Jerouch again dodge another attack from an E rank wolf with pale eyes and he glanced at the system interface.

He was now at level four after the previous assault.
He had two stat points that he had yet to use, and he gave strength and perception one each.
Now, all of them, except the mind, are at the same level.
He could feel the slight increase in strength and his vision tended to be clearer.
What he observed though, was that the humans gave him more exp even though they were also F rank. Each of them gave him +100 exp, and he could hear a voice whispering to him to go on a killing spree.
Most F ranks gave him twenty exp and as he advanced in levels, the exp points they gave him reduced.
Shaking his head, he again focused on the battle before his hands.
He started running at his normal speed towards the nearest E rank wolf, but he slipped.
He saw a white object move past him, and then there was something cold touching his cheek followed by a warm liquid that trickled down his face.
Touching his cheek, his hand came in contact with the blood from the fresh wound which was tingling.
'' Ice? '' He muttered looking at the blood-coated dart made from ice.
Apparently, the wolves weren't just limited to their physical abilities.
Some could also use spells.
Another ice dart was aimed at him but he grabbed one of the F rank wolves and used it as a shield.
'' Wind blade. ''
An almost invincible blade shor forward cutting the limbs of two E rank wolves.
Right as they collapsed to the ground, he appeared beside them and jumped.
Squash!
He landed on each wolf's head, and their brain matter gushed out like compressed butter.
+50 exp
+50 exp
'' What? This little exp? '' Jerouch frowned.
It seemed the system's way of calculating the reward and exp wasn't static.
His situation and difficulty sometimes did affect the reward mechanism.
'' Wind blade. '' Jerouch again called, this time though, it clashed with another wind blade.
It seemed there were other wolves who could use spells as well.
Karah stood on top of a hill a hundred meters away and observed Jerouch with interest.
She folded her hands behind her and allowed the breeze to blow her skirt and hair.
'' His battle awareness is only average and so are his fighting skills. '' She sighed.
'' However, his control of mana was nothing like I've ever seen before, there's no wastage of mana even one bit when using his spells and it's as if his spells were his limbs, not to even talk of his casting speed. ''
'' She told me to strictly believe this, but I'm really drowning in doubt huh. '' She sighed again, this time a bit deeper.
'' Or could it be? ''
