Aryan's POV:
Now, I need to decide what I should do. Should I call a council meeting to ask the sovereign? As I was pondering all this, I sensed the Li Clan ancestor just before entering my palace, concealing himself with a girl and a boy. The boy with them appeared to be the wise type. I suppose these are his grandchildren. They seem to be engaged in conversation. Well, let's see what they're discussing.
After hearing their conversation, I thought to myself, "I wasn't lying about my realm. Even I don't know how I reached this realm. I just did. And he also didn't want to become His Majesty or something. They were the ones who made him the emperor." Sigh... Well, let's meet with them and ask if they have any idea how I can cure my boredom.
I softly said, "Gill..."
A man came before me, who wasn't there before. "You asked for me, my lord?" Gill asked.
"Gill, bring the Li ancestor to meet me. He just entered the palace." As I gave my command to Gill, he vanished. I wonder if they can help me.
Rishi's POV:
As we all entered the inner palace, I wondered why nobody had come to greet my grandpa yet. I was sure that at least a high-ranking elder would come to welcome us. I asked my grandpa why nobody had wished us yet.
Because I am using a spell, and only someone at the Ancient God or above level would be able to see our true selves," my grandpa replied. "Rishi, you need to remember to be humble. Also, I don't want to cause any commotion.
I see, I accepted my grandpa's explanation. He doesn't like showing off. Well, I guess we just have to make our way through the line.
ridhi's POV:
A man suddenly appeared in front of us. I recognized him immediately; he was one of the three servants of His Majesty who directly followed commands from him and him alone. He was a half-sovereign, not as powerful as my grandpa, but not much weaker either, and he was also my father's sworn brother. I didn't think much of it, but as he bowed to my grandpa and said, "I greet Li Clan ancestor," I immediately understood that His Majesty had left his seclusion. He always says "Grandpa Li" and not "Ancestor Li," which indicates that His Majesty has sent him here.
My grandpa looked at him and said, "Oh, Gill, did His Majesty leave his seclusion?" Gill said, "Yes, Ancestor Li, His Majesty has asked to meet you." My grandpa, surprised, said, "What a lucky day you two have," looking at me and my brother. "You get to meet His Majesty first in your generation."
My grandpa turned his face again to Gill and asked, "Gill, do you know how long it has been since His Majesty left his seclusion?" Gill said, "It wouldn't have been too long if I have to guess, Grandpa Li, but we should move."
"Yeah, you're right," my grandpa said. "Well, let's move then." In all this, I hadn't noticed my surroundings. I saw many cultivators kneeling, some bowing, and even the guards were in a bowing position. I saw one particular cultivator who seemed more fearful and afraid than anyone. Well, whatever. I guess Grandpa had taken the spell off, my grandpa and uncle. Gill didn't say or acknowledge their existence as if it didn't matter. Well, whatever, and we started to make our way to His Majesty. I am excited, happy, and a little worried to meet His Majesty and the person who stands above all.
We were just about to reach His Majesty's quarters. It didn't seem like we were going to the meeting room, but rather to his living quarters, which made me nervous. I don't think many people have gone into his living quarters before. My grandpa and Uncle Gill were moving ahead of me and my brother. My brother came close to me and said, "Sister, you should try to be a little seductive in front of His Majesty. Who knows, he might fall for you. After all, you are known as one of the eight eternal beauties."
I knew my brother was kind of an idiot, but to think he was this much of an idiot... I looked at him with disdain and said, "Brother, His Majesty can have any woman and any number of beauties he wants. Why would he fall for me?" He looked at me and said, "Oh, so you finally realize how ugly you are." I looked at him and said nothing, thinking to myself, "What if His Majesty falls for me?" I felt my cheeks turn red and thought, "Why do I feel like I'm acting like a little girl? Gosh, it's all my brother's fault to put a thought like that. Whatever, I will just be myself."
My grandpa stopped and turned to us, saying, "Remember, from this moment onwards, your every action will have consequences. Be careful of your words and actions." I looked at my grandpa and just now realized that we are not just meeting anyone but the person who is above all. A person who rules all, a person who can annihilate the Li Clan in the blink of an eye. One question now was the most prominent in my mind: I want to know who His Majesty is.
Gill's POV:
To say the least, I was surprised to see His Majesty call for me. It had been almost millennia years. It wasn't much for us, sovereigns or even celestials if looked at honestly, but His Majesty always used to make appearances or hold competitions and so much more. I had seen His Majesty up close more than anyone. I had seen the monotonous life he had been living in the last few years.
The last time before His Majesty went into seclusion, I had seen a longing for something that could spark some kind of interest or something. The loneliness I had seen was difficult to explain. His Majesty didn't have a family, leaving only his father, mother, and grandfather. He had never been close to his clan. The only reason he had accepted them as the royal clan was because of his grandfather. He doesn't have any friends, didn't have friends. I heard they died even before he became immortal, and after that, he stopped making friends. He also doesn't have anyone who can fight him; everyone in front of him fails to stand. I was worried. As the days passed, he was just sitting there, doing nothing. But after so many years, he called for me and told me to bring the Li ancestor, I saw hope at that time.
When I reached the Li ancestor, I also saw little Ridhi and little Rishi. I immediately came down and bowed to him. It was necessary, even if I was His Majesty's servant. I wasn't a full sovereign, after all. I addressed him as Li ancestor and not Grandpa Li, which made him immediately understand that His Majesty had ended his seclusion. We started to make our way to His Majesty's quarters and not the meeting room, as was updated by one of the servants.
Just as we were about to enter, I saw Grandpa Li turn around and startle the grandkids. I said, "You don't have to scare them like that."
