Escaping alone

The ice worms were ravenous. After clearing the battlefield of any and all pieces of flesh, they began working on the city. No one was safe. Wei Guiren was powerful and he was called young hero but he was not stupid enough to sacrifice his life for people he did not know. After his death, the legend of Wei Guiren, the young hero would be forgotten and there will be nothing of him left in the world.

He was not willing to step into this future over a future where he would get to live for millions of years and possibly create a true legend for himself.

He was still too young to die and he had too much to live for.
