After Violet was escorted from the throne room, the king sat back down on this throne, lost in his thoughts, which were now consumed by his daughter and her change in behavior and wondered what triggered it, since he knew for certain, the girl standing before him was no longer the same, she never had the gut to even answer him properly in front of anyone much less show such insolence, well according to him.
The guards took her to her room and she glanced at the as they opened the door to her chamber and she scoffed before folding her arms.
The guards exchanged nervous glances, hoping that she would go into the room, so that they wouldn't have to get another scolding from the king or any other members from the royal family.
Violet exhaled deeply when she saw the desperate look in their eyes, knowing that she needed to keep her cool and be a bit more rational, she could sense the changes within her and couldn't understand what they were or where they are coming from, what she did know though, was that the changes were affecting her in many more ways than one.
Including the way, she would usually act and that was something she was more than pleased about, she felt now after years, that she was breathing fresh air and finally being herself without having to care about anyone else.
"My lady..." One of the guards mumbled and she glanced at him then sighed.
"Scardy cats... You are suppoed to be warriors yet you are afraid, are you serious?" She asked and they lowered their heads, feeling a bit ashamed to what she had just said to him.
"We know and you are right... It's just that we don't know what to do anymore, everything has been changing more lately and things are becoming a lot more dangerous," The other guard added and Violet's brows furrowed when she heard that.
"What? What did you just say? Care to eleborate on what you meant by the last part, hmm?" She asked as she braced against her room door with her arms crossed in front of her.
"Ah... You mean the danger... Lately more dark creatures have been showing up, more often than usual and some have grown a lot stronger... Why? We don't know but this is definitely the start of something big... All of us that works with the king and the other royals as well as the special Corps are trying to figure them out but there is not much to go on, regarding these creatures," The guard responded.
"Mystery...Hmm... That is indeed weird, their movements are growing, it's like something is acting as a becon, calling them, making them awaken t some point, it's like they are drawn to that call, the way they act... It's intruging and feels familiar..." She said as both guards exchanged glances, before turning their attention back to her.
"What do you mean by that?" They asked and she looked at them, snapping out of her thoughts and she smiled a little.
"It's nothing to concern yourselves about, you both look pale like you have seen a ghost, I will go inside you two can return to the king and another thing, keep me updated on the creatures as well as their movements," Violet responded.
Both of them left staring at her because of her request, wondering what she could possibly be up to but knew better than to pry and decided to follow her orders, since they had nothing against her and she was still a princess, no matter what the others may say about it.
They bowed their heads to her and she nodded then went inside of her room, closing the door and both of the guards, sighed in relief that he didn't protest or give them a hard time and they left, to return to the throne room, where the king was absolutely borrowing.
To the point, no one dared to approach him or open their mouths, the court was silent, waiting for him to speak, they knew he was seething and not in the mood, to tolerate or listen to what anyone had to say.
Meanwhile, Violet sat down on the edge of the bed within her room, thinking about all the unexpected events of the day, things that she never though could happen, was happening, things that she may not have thought possible, actually where and the biggest one of all was Xania and the creatures, including the changes that were currently happening to her.
"What the hell is all of this.... Why do I keep connecting dots and making a connection of them all.... Something doesn't feel right to me...." She mumbled as she clutched her chest, which had a stinging pain.
'Does any of this have anything to do with the changes I have been going through lately?' She wondered and at the same time, Xania appeared before her and she yelped, causing Xania to scream as well.
"What! What's wrong?" Xania asked as she stared at him, then exhaled deeply.
"I am going to strangle you, that's what...." She said and he flew up higher in the air, hovering just above her and he looked down at her.
"Now, now, let's not resort to violence hmm? That's not healthy for a young girl such as yourself, I am sorry, I didn't mean to startle you, I just came to check in on you, because of the changes that are currently happening in your body...." Xania replied and she exhaled deeply as she was staring at him, with her brows furrowed.
"Hey.... Xania... The things that have been happening recently, is it somehow connected to me? Is there any connection between us at all or am I just overthinking all of this?" She asked as her eyes narrowed and he looked down at her, contemplating.
"You mean the recent supernatural activities? The creatures and the shift in the environmenntal changes?" He asked and she nodded.
His eyes narrowed for he knew more about those but before he could answer her, she fell unconscious on the bed and he flew down to her as a marking appeared on her chest, glowing red and the same one, except the smaller version appeared on her forehead and Xania's eyes widened as her body was glowing slightly and he could see the changes were now taking their form within her.
