The blinking alert only served to heighten the stress he was already feeling.

"Shit, I have to hide quickly before that happens," He said looking around furtively for an escape route.

He was looking for how to leave the place without drawing any unnecessary attention to himself.

He slowly edged towards the boundary that seperated the clearing from the thick bushes.

He was spotted by a group of three guys and one of them spoke up to him.

"Are you okay? You seem to be uncomfortable. Perhaps you want to pee, you can join us. We all thought it'll be safe if we go together. You know, goblins and all."

Magnus had never been so grateful to anyone since he started the tutorial like he currently was when he heard what the guy said.

There was only the matter of evading them before the countdown was over.

"Thank you, I was looking for others in similar position myself," He said and joined them.

"We won't go far, just spread out where we can have privacy," He said and the others nodded. Magnus noted that they were a quiet bunch and he was fine with that. It was better than walking with nosy pricks.

They walked on in silence and Magnus noticed a good spot that diverged into two different paths.

"I'm good here," He said, making a show of unzipping his pants as he came to a stop and faced a tall tree.

"Alright, yell at the first sign of danger. We're just up ahead so we'll soon be back," The guy said then went ahead with his buddies.

He waited for the last person to be lost among the trees in the distance then he sprinted to the path to his left.

He felt his body contort and spasm as he came to a stop and knew that he had changed back.

He confirmed it from his reduced height and clothes. He had to stay out in the forest before he went back to the candidates because of his identity.

The sun was starting to come out again which he didn't like. He saw a cave and headed inside to stay away from the harsh rays. He had already gotten sunburned and wasn't pleased with it.

On entering inside, he saw a pair of red blood eyes hovering in the darkness which made him think that it was a goblin except that the eyes were at a level above him and he was yet to meet any goblin that was that tall.

His eyes gradually adjusted to the darkness and he saw that it was a bear. He had disturbed it from its sleep right in his lair.

At the moment, it was immobile as it stared at him. Apparently, it was as startled as he was.

He swiftly sprinted out of the cave and it charged along with a loud roar behind him.

He drew his weapon from his inventory as he changed direction and skidded to a stop.

Not to be tricked, the bear swiftly changed directions and galloped towards him also.

He swallowed as he saw it in the light. It wasn't just any normal regular bear. It was a majestic huge grizzly wonder.

He waited until it was almost at him before he went into a low dive and swiped his katana at its front paw.

Their action raised a cloud of dust but after it cleared, he saw that his blade had done little to no damage at all.

He had only succeeded in making the bear more angry judging from it's deep bellows.

He nimbly moved, circling around the bear as he slashed at it repeatedly.

"I'll kill you even if it takes a thousand strikes," He swore furiously as he chipped at the beast while evading it.

He had no knowledge of any advanced sword techniques, his only thought was to tire it out before he used his full strength.

~SWIPE~

He was momentarily stunned as a paw smacked him hard in the chest and he went down.

[-20 HP]

His health stat had been reduced by just one blow.

He looked up to see that that wasn't the worst of it and rolled out of the way just in time to avoid both sets of paws aimed for his jugular.

The bear changed its style and advanced slowly, cornering him to one side with his immense size.

"I'm going about this the wrong way" He thought to himself as he stood up, keeping a close eye on the bear's movement.

When he had fought the goblin's, they had a weak spot which was in their necks.

"There's no reason not to test that theory again. After all, it's worth a shot."

He ran towards the bear this time who was unprepared for it's opponent change in strategy. Thus, it was too slow to avoid the full force of the blade which struck its face.

Blood spurted from the cut making it the first wound he gave it.

"Let's see what these knight class can do," He said, leaping off the ground as he got onto the bear's back.

It tried without success to throw the human off and went into berserk mode when it found out that it couldn't.

The bear was now enraged and he was careful to stay out of reach of its paws as he hung on. He knew that animals got into an ultra aggressive mode right when they knew they were about to die.

~SLASH~

The bear's head flew neatly off it's body and rolled on the floor in one heap. Like the goblins, the body gradually disappeared until only a core was left.

DING!

He turned off the notifications he got as he was feeling sleepy.

He knew he wouldn't be disturbed by any other animal as they would no doubt leave the area alone.

He went into the cave and fell fast asleep.
