John H. POV:

After deciding upon the division, we went ahead and reached the building of the asylum. Once there, we prepared to move onto the searching part and entered the asylum. The boys had the bag connected to the compartment where the cleansing grenades are stored.

We then got into the task of going through each and every corner of the asylum, cleaning it up, and searching for any signs of life inside to bring them out before we remodel the whole thing.

Didn't you think it would be so easy?

It seems like the ghosts of people who died here as well as the doctor who 'treated' the patients are still resistant to moving on.

Sam had reached halfway through his path, and Dean has also made some headway as per the readings I am getting.

Once this one is done, I will be able to move ahead, cure the place, and rebuild it as per our standards. What about permission, you'd ask? While establishing the organisation, we had asked about what exactly they wanted us to do with the lands that have been haunted for years. Their response was, and I quote, "*sigh* Those places are anyways now under government bodies; you can take them up and establish your bases as and when needed, just keep the entities out." This response, my friends, was given by almost all the countries we had asked, and the organisation wasn't limited to a country, so the lands we owned or any of the people working under us owned were basically, in a way, no man's land for the countries; the only law that applied there was ours and... Well, if you know, you know. *wink* *wink*.

Anyway, moving onto the task at hand, I am cleansing the remaining 31 percent of the total area to be cleared by me. Yeah, you read that right. The ghosts started obstructing me after I cleansed exactly 69 percent of the area, divine number and intervention truly.

Moving on… I go ahead and look for the next rooms, but after some time, one spirit came up and was going to attack me again, but I was a bit too fast and then moved to open up the grenade, which instantly cleansed the areas. Well, I have to be more alert here after all.

Craash!

bang!

bang!

Craash!

"Damn it, me and my no powers challenge," I muttered while getting up from the ground after moving the pieces of cupboard away that fell on him.

I looked around the new location where I crashed and saw yet another "normal" asylum room—well, as normal as an asylum that had this history could be.

Looking around, I again dropped a few cleanser grenades to make sure that at least this area wouldn't have any traces of the entities trapped around here or staying here. I was determined to cleanse every inch of this place and rid it of any lingering spirits.

After making sure that my current location was cleansed properly, I then moved out of the room to find the two brothers and also cleanse the rest of the asylum, i.e., around 55 percent more left to be cleansed in total.

After some time, I was finally able to fully clean my part of the asylum, i.e., the west wing. I encountered the ghost of the doctor three times and the rest of the patients about four times, though the souls of the particular patients have now moved onto peace successfully, which I would file under one of our successes.

We then meet up at the centre again, with Sam and Dean waiting for me to complete. It seems like they didn't encounter as many spirits as me, or in the case of Sam, he didn't encounter any of them. If his still impeccable clothes are considered, well, everyone has their own luck. It is good that the one emotionally unstable member didn't meet the emotionally manipulating spirit if I get to say something about it.

Whelp onto the south wing now.

As soon as we enter the wing, Dean suddenly says, "Look out; I think something is there within those boxes."

I carefully give my gun to Sam and ask him to be our sniper, and I ask the dean to come just a step after me with the cleaner ready.

Gradually, we move towards the stack of boxes.

I removed the boxes bit by bit.

And finally, I found the source of the disturbance.

It is a
