Chapter 40 - Cat Out Of The Multiverse

Telling me about the dream she had, and what she saw Sonico asked if it meant something. Explaining to her that the Speed Force usually visited it's chosen conduits via dreams, I said that we should take the warning seriously. That said...there were a few Supermen that wore power suits of some kind.

"Is there any details you can give me?", I asked.

"I am sorry, that's all I can remember.", she replied rubbing her head, "I can't remember much of anything besides needing to push you to go see the Justice League, and that he was wearing armor. The memories of what I saw happening in that future...Clark I don't want to see you turn into that person."

"With all of you here I won't.", I said with a smile, 'Still though, that puts me in a bind. If an Armored Superman is coming I don't know if it's someone pretending to be him, a clone, or an evil Superman. Either way which ever one it is she is genuinely concerned about it. I will go see them as soon as I know how.'

Giving her a good morning kiss, I told her it would be a bit before they got up since it was still early. Offering to take a shower with her she nervously accepted, and followed me in. Reminding her that she didn't need to join me if she didn't want too, she said she at least wanted to try it. Getting undressed, Sonico looked at me while biting her lower lip.

'He is so buff, and well endowed.', she thought, 'I know the girls in high school used to talk about this stuff, but...I haven't seen one before.'

Getting the warm water going, we helped each other bathe while we talked. Sonico got more comfortable with things as time went on, but since she was clueless about sex I wasn't going to push it. For now getting to see her in this way was more than enough. Once she moved in permanently I would definitely set the mood to embrace her properly. Leaning into her I gave her a kiss on the lips much to her delight. Kissing me back with a giggle I brushed her hair from her face.

"I like you better with that smile.", I replied.

"You'll be seeing a lot more of it I am sure.", she giggled.

Just before we got out, the others stumbled in still half asleep. Getting them cleaned up, we had breakfast and sat down for the day. School was closed as the robots were still doing the repairs. Fortunately utilities for the city were back up, and most of the civilian areas were repairs so it wasn't all bad.

"So what are we doing today?", Melissa asked taking a bite of her yogurt.

"I can call Nezu, and see if we can start interning early given the circumstances.", I replied, "If he approves we can go Heroing."

"Call him!", Mina said with a grin, "I want to go kick some butt!!"

"By the way, Jiro and Asui accepted other internships from people closer to their skill sets.", Ochaco said reading their text messages.

"That's fine, I offered so that is enough.", I chuckled, "Let me call Nezu."

---U.A High School, Principal's Office---

"You want to start their internships early? I don't see any issues with that, but you can't start today. It will take a day for me to get them the authorization they need to work alongside you.", Nezu said stirring his tea, "I already cleared the idea past the team so it shouldn't be longer than a day. By the way, the mayor wanted me to thank you for repairing the damages."

"Speaking of that, can you ask him if he wants to use the new bay to-"

"The City Council is already working with contractors to build a new harbor.", Nezu laughed, "A certain young ladies family sounds like they will be getting a job in it."

"Awesome!", I said with excitement, "Well I will keep an eye for the paperwork."

Ending the call, Nezu returned his attention to the Prime Minister who was in his office. After the incident yesterday Japan promptly threw Section 13 out of Japan with no intention of ever working with them again. From now on they would have me handle it now that they knew I could handle things easily. In fact other nations were starting to think Section 13 needed to be shutdown as I was already doing most of their work now. Better yet the American President even said they could store all the deadly weapons in the Phantom Zone, and leave it with me to prevent anyone from getting them again. Since they were in a different dimension that no one could access, it was the safest option.

"Was that Young Clark?", All Might asked.

"Yes, he was asking for permission to take the interns he selected out Heroing.", Nezu said so not to make it sound like I was playing favorites, "I told him we would have things ready to go tomorrow. Now Prime Minister, as you can see by the restoration Clark has done our city is on track to be normal again by late this evening. Utilities are up, and most civilian areas are repaired."

"I have seen it, as has my team.", the Prime Minister said, "In addition there hasn't been a criminal sighting in the city at all with the robots out."

"That's probably due to him blowing a volcano away with just air pressure from a punch.", Aizawa said with a chuckle, "I am willing to bet the crime rate will plummet in Japan after that. Not many villains will want to tangle with someone like that, and he sent a pretty clear message with those killings. It will be nice to have a few quiet days to sleep."

"That's part of the reason I am here.", the Prime Minister said.

"If it's about that, I would just like to say that they nearly wiped out the entire area. Millions would have died if not for-", Nezu started to say.

"No need to cover for him, the Japanese government is well aware of the criminal history those individuals had. Not one had less than a thousand dead to their names.", the Prime Minister said, "While I don't personally endorse killing, in this situation I understand as almost half a prefecture was nearly wiped off the map. If I were to punish him the people he saved would riot. The reason I am here is because it has been decided to give him a Medal of Honor for saving so many lives using himself as a shield. Regardless of the fact he didn't get injured it is still an honorable thing to do."

"I understand.", Nezu said with a smile.

"What will become of the Heroes that ran away?", All Might asked.

"They were all fired, and stripped of their licenses. In an emergency we can't have Heroes flee the area leaving people behind that need help.", the Prime Minister said, "It is a disgrace that they left!! We have reports that several Heroes left in the middle of a kindergarten evacuation!! The children were left in a parking lot scrambling for cover not more than a mile from where the battlefield was. If not for the robots, those children may not have seen the sunrise today."

"I had no idea they did that!", Nezu said with an irritated look, "I thought the only ones that fled were the ones in the back."

"Unfortunately not, and the press has gotten ahold of the story.", the Prime Minister replied, "We will see what happens moving forward. As for the volcano he destroyed...I would like to thank him for making such an excellent harbor. We were trying to decide on a new place to build one, and he did half the work for us."

"Haha I will let him know you said that.", Nezu laughed, "Is there anything else you wanted?"

"Yes, I was hoping Clark could speak with the Diet about the strange villain in the yellow suit that showed up. They are confused as to who he is, and how Clark knew him.", the Prime Minister asked, "It will a private meeting."

"I will let Young Clark know.", All Might said.

Ending the meeting there, the Prime Minister left leaving the Pro's there. Sighing they were happy things didn't go south in the meeting.

"If the answer wasn't so strange I would have told him.", All Might said.

"Agreed, for now all we can do is trust Clark.", Nezu said, "Has he given you anything to prove he is right?"

"He has, I saw the world the villain came from as well as several others.", All Might said with a serious face, "Nezu, if any of them show up here we'd be at a loss. Some of the powers I saw are far beyond any Quirks I have seen, and most were far deadlier than All For One."

"Hmm...", Nezu said, "That is troubling news."

"What's more the Heroes and Villains in Clark's comics are derived from those people. They are identical in power and looks.", All Might said, "Him publishing the details makes it easier for us to gauge their strengths."

"That's not helpful...", Nezu said looking in his draw at some of the comics he had bought personally, "There a few I wouldn't want to ever meet in person."

"Agreed, for now it's best to keep this quiet. Clark said it's better to let them hide instead of searching for them. They fled a tyrannical world, they will do anything to prevent their return which means lots of killing if we corner them.", All Might said.

"That is a problem, my eyes will be useless against them.", Aizawa said, "We should at least make sure none are in Japan. All For One might try teaming up with them."

"I will put out a generic warning to the local agencies.", Nezu stated, "Something vague, but informative as to not provoke anything."

---AFO Hideout---

"Master, are you alright?", the doctor asked.

"I am...", AFO said replaying the footage of my destroying the volcano, "The boy was being kind by not showing up. He could have easily destroyed us in a single blow, and none of us would have been able to get away."

"What should we do?", Shigaraki asked.

"After seeing him do that my enthusiasm for harming him is gone. It is quite clear he still wasn't going all out, and the destructive force he holds is far to dangerous at the present time. For the moment I want us to start looking for much more powerful allies. People like the one he called the Reverse-Flash look promising.", AFO said, "Continue on Project Overdrive and the Nomu as well doctor, just make sure not to draw any attention."

"I understand sir.", the doctor said.

'It may be time to put aside old grudges, and attempt to make peace with Oblivion Group.', AFO thought weighing his options.

---Nova's Hidden Base---

Currently in the recovery room, his medical staff said that he was unlikely to be in fighting condition again. The energy in his body was unstable now, and any fighting might cause him to lose control. Showing him the charts they explained their reasoning which he accepted without question. Having been living energy for so long he knew his body was out of balance before they did.

"How are the other members?", Nova asked, "I know the four are dead, but what of the others?"

"While you were out someone eliminated the remaining members.", his nurse said, "We confirmed it wasn't Superman as he has been coordinating recovery efforts in his city."

He was about to ask who else could have done it till the sound of people slowly walking towards them could be heard. Looking to the door, a certain young girl walked in wearing only black with other women in tow.

"Hello Nova.", she said.

"Vlad's daughter...", Nova said, "Cynthia wasn't it?"

"Don't call me by my former name.", she laughed with a bloodthirsty glee, "It's Mrs. Wayne."

"You aren't married to him.", Nova said.

"Not yet, but it doesn't hurt to think ahead.", she giggled, "Now then...you were quite a bastard for trying to kill my future husband. I didn't take kindly to that stunt even though he walked away unscathed. Oblivion Group is a thorn in his side, and as a good wife I am removing the problem. I am even going to send him their heads!! I think he will be so happy with me he will make me his number 1!"

"You have lost your mind, haven't you?", Nova said sitting up, "You already know your Quirk won't harm me."

"I know, I have tried in the past with no effect. That's why I have been busy behind the scenes making a team of people.", she said, "These are all my friends I have made from my travels."

"Hello.", they said.

"You think it will be that easy.", he said.

"I think you should take a seat, and retire.", a black haired woman said stepping forward with violet spheres in her hands and glowing eyes, "I would hate to kill an old man."

Before he could get a word in, she hit him hard enough to sink him into the floor. Feeling ultraviolet energy coming from her, Nova looked up at her.

"You are like the Reverse-Flash, aren't you? You are from that-"

"Say another word, and I will kill you.", she growled, "If I am caught because of you I will make sure your death is brutal before they take me away."

"I suspect you all are?", Nova said getting up.

The women behind Cynthia nodded. He didn't know it, but it was actually a mixture of Heroes and Villains standing there. They had banded together because they had no choice. All of them fled here to escape Regime Superman as they all had bounties on their heads. The Heroines questioned his methods, and the villains were just on the wrong side of the law.

"What are you expecting from me?", Nova asked, "You should have already taken control of everything."

"Hehe, the only reason I am not asking them to kill you is because you are useful.", Cynthia said, "We need to know everything the Reverse-Flash told you about the situation on the other side. If my Darling is facing off against someone strong I want to support him from my side. He shouldn't have to dirty his hands, I can handle that just as well as him."

Since he was dealing with too many unknown factors currently, and he couldn't enough strength to take them on Nova yielded for the time being.

---Succulus' Alps Base---

"I didn't know Superman was so strong!", Succulus said working on the warehouse robots with her comrades.

"Neither did I.", her mother said with a conflicted look.

"Something wrong?", Succulus asked.

"I recognize the man in the footage. He is one of Nova's comrades that I saw on several occasions at his base.", her mother replied, "The last memory I have of him he should have left the world for good."

"He is a villain, they lie.", Succulus laughed.

"Just like you did when you said you knew how to cook.", Gravi and her mother snickered.

"Don't be mean, I made a simple mistake.", Succulus said waving a wrench at Gravi, "Don't make me hit you!"

"Excuse me?", her mother said glaring at her.

"...not you mother, I meant Gravi I swear!", Succulus said with a nervous look, "So I got the sugar and salt mixed up..."

"Lets not forget you mixed up ketchup and hot sauce. You burnt the omelettes, and-", Gravi started to say.

"I get it!! I am a terrible cook!!", Succulus sighed.

"Are you ever going to start looking for men online?", her mother teased, "I like having you here Succulus, but you need to be dating."

"Well it's not like I can put down "Bunker in the Alps" as a location on a dating site!!", Succulus stated.

"Gravi found herself a man, why can't you?", her mother asked.

"She did!?", Succulus gasped, "Gravi why didn't you tell me!?"

"I did...I told you the other day, but you drank way too much.", Gravi sighed, "You were all happy for me, wanted to drink, you pounded down like four bottles of wine, and then ran into the bathroom to puke."

"That was because we got a special deal on our favorite wine!! I couldn't help it, living in an underwater base meant we didn't get alcohol that often!!", Succulus pouted, "I just wanted some fun."

"Uh huh...", Gravi said with a smirk, "Why don't you tell your mother who you been thinking about."

"Gravi...don't you dare!", Succulus said, "I told you that was an accident, and that I wasn't-"

"Oh Clark please rub my back more.", their comrades snickered, "Oh Clark you are being to rough! Clark hold me in your-"

"DAMN IT!!", Succulus said leaping over the robot, "Come here you assholes!!"

"Oh no run away!", they laughed, "You won't ever get him if you don't tell him."

"Come back here!!", Succulus said, "Let me beat you with-"

Tripping over a cable on the floor, Succulus fell and let the wrench go on accident. A few seconds later the wrench crashed into her head making her rub her head while sniffling in pain.

'Dear lord...someone please take my daughter before she kills herself.', her mother thought shaking her head at her daughter, 'Maybe I should offer Clark information in exchange for taking her on a date.'

---Wayne Manor---

"So...are we only going to play twister all day?", Nejire asked.

"No, I thought we could go catch a movie or something.", I replied spinning the arrow.

"Oh!! What are we going to see?", Mina asked, "How about that new alien movie? The one with face hugger things!!"

"I don't think that is a good one...it honestly gives me the creeps.", Ochaco said.

"I was going to suggest Rush Hour.", I stated, "It's a funny movie, but before we go I wanted to take you all somewhere fancy."

"Fancy how?", Rumi asked.

"Like a nice restaurant along the Italian Rivera.", I said.

"Oh!", they said falling onto me.

"That is super fancy!", Dorothy said.

"Isn't that going to be expensive with all of us?", Sonico asked.

"Don't worry about that.", I chuckled, "I can afford it, I promise."

Getting changed, I let my parents know so they didn't freak out and then headed off to the theater.

---Italian Rivera---

Barely 7am on the Mediterranean Coast we got the opportunity to see the morning sunrise which was utterly breath taking. Getting us a table at a local restaurant along the waterfront, the women and I ordered our meal though it was mainly me speaking since they couldn't speak Italian. Since my previous life job took me around the world I learned many languages so this was a cake walk for me.

"When did you have the time to learn Italian?", Momo asked.

"It isn't that hard, I can teach you.", I said with a smile.

"I have to say I never imagined having breakfast in Italy.", Itsuka said looking around at the locals.

"Agreed.", the others said.

---Few Miles Outside Town---

Discussing how we do things for the internships, I pulled out a map to mark areas we would visit. Wanting to give them a variety of experiences around the globe I plan things out so that they could get the most out of our time together. As I was going over this, a group of villains were speeding down a coastal highway with the police hot on their tails. Launching small icebergs at the cops, one of the robbers was telling the driver to go faster.

"Are you fucking nuts!?", the driver replied, "We are right next to the fucking ocean!! Any faster, and this tank is going over the edge!!"

"Well if we don't do something the cops are going to catch us!!", a woman said looking out the back window, "I have no intentions of being caught so either floor it or I will throw you out!"

"Jeez lady what the hell is your problem!?", the driver sighed, "Emanuel, where the hell did you get the cat from?"

"I met her on a jewel heist.", the man chucking icebergs said.

"I got bored, and decided to steal some things to keep things interesting.", she said, "Now step on it!!"

Doing as she asked the driver floored it barreling the armored car down the road. Entering the small town we were in they man laid on the horn to get people to move. He didn't want to hit any pedestrians, especially children, as he wasn't comfortable with it. All he wanted was money no more no less.

---Small Café---

As the commotion drew near it became clear the cops weren't going to catch them. I had been listening to the chase since we got here, and had hoped not to step in as I was on a date. That wasn't going to happen though, as the armored car came barreling down our street. Taking the corner too sharp, the vehicle hit the curb causing it to flip. Hearing the impact I knew the vehicle was going to hit the building we were next too.

Dashing out of my seat, I got outside and caught the truck before it could cause collateral damage. Shaking the car to disorientate the people inside, I unlocked the backdoor to grab the villains. Seizing the men who were out cold, I saw a certain female antihero who was one shake away from puking.

"Well well, I didn't expect to catch Catwoman in my world.", I said.

"What are you doing here!?", she said in a panic fumbling with her utility belt.

Pulling out a piece of kryptonite, she held it up to me attempting to weaken me. Apparently she wasn't aware that I was only affected by kryptonite native to this universe. I never understood it, but it was a thing. Superboy-Prime was the same way so I assumed it was that way with all Supermen.

"Why isn't it working!?", she shrieked, "Did Bats trick me!?"

"I am not the Superman from your universe, I am from this one.", I said grabbing her by her collar, "You and I are going to have a talk about your involvement with Reverse-Flash."

"Purfect...", she sighed, "You sure I can't show you a sneak peek, and you let me go? You are what 14 or 15 right?"

"Sorry to tell you, but you are Batman's woman.", I said shaking my head, "You aren't getting a rise out of me."

"Since when was I his woman!?", she hissed.

"Oh don't give me that crap.", I sighed, "Kelex, please send Catwoman to one of the cells. I will interrogate her later on, and please make sure you remove all equipment she has."

"Understood.", Kelex said teleporting her away.

Wiping the villains minds of her, I handed them to the police when they arrived a few minutes later. Seeing me there in my Hero Costume, the police got really excited to see me here. Asking for autographs for their children, I signed a few things for them before making sure they had things under control. Returning to our table just as the food arrived Nemuri said I should learn to let the local Heroes handle things like that. Stating that they almost destroyed the building they were cooking our food in, she quickly changed her tune.

"Sir, Miss Kyle is causing a commotion with the predators.", Kelex said, "She appears to be-"

"Communicating with the wild cats.", I sighed, "Yeah I know, she has a knack for befriending felines. Just make sure she doesn't escape."

"Understood.", Kelex said.

"Something wrong?", Toru asked.

"Just got a lead for finding the other villains from out of this world.", I stated, "We will go meet her after our movie, and just so you know she is as cunning as a cat. Don't let your guard down around her."
