The Calm Before The Storm?
The auction was officially over and now it was time to get back to the castle. Everybody else had already left. The carriage was parked in the backyard of the Auction House, although it would not harm to reveal that it was 'Rudra' who spent money so lavishly, he decided to keep it under wraps for now. Especially now that he had Eirwen with him.
Sophia did not speak much while the whole journey back to the castle. Eirwen was not in the cage anymore. In fact, she was sitting in Karna's lap. She was a newborn and despite her intelligence, she was still a child. Her body wasn't mature and big like an adult Qilin and so she looked like a rather unique puppy with a horn on the head and a strange tail.
It took around an hour for them to get back to the castle. Sophia said goodbye and left, Karna had much to check and think about and so without any delay, he went back to his room.
