Chapter 1612: Not Favored

The next day at work, Peter Brown noticed that everyone's attitude had continued to evolve in a direction unfavorable to him.

Although they had all gone out to eat and sing the previous night, today they merely nodded as they passed by him, and no one visited him early in the morning.

"Director, you made so much money, what do you plan to do with it?" Leah Nelson had grown somewhat closer to Peter Brown after the events of last night.

"Where did I make any money?"

Peter Brown shook his head.

Imogan Jones then laughed, "We've all heard that after two lucky finds, you have a total of 2 million dollars. That's a lot of money. In this County Town, you're considered wealthy."

"Exactly, you spent 300,000 on a house, and with the furniture and all, most likely 500,000 gone, you still have 1.5 million left. That's no small sum, you could even stop working if you wanted."

Leah Nelson's eyes lit up as she talked about this.
