Shut up, you old lady!

The next morning, Feng Xi did not get any sight of Yu Han. After what happened the last day, Yu Han did not show himself to her. He confided himself in his study right after dinner and left early in the morning without having his breakfast.

"Why does he do that? He is the one who married me and now, he is ignoring me like I am nobody. Why does it feel like I am the culprit here?" Feng Xi muttered as she rested on the chaise. She had nothing to do until her internship started. Earlier, she had planned to go out, but the driver refused to give her the keys to the car since Yu Han gave the order.

Lady Yao came to her and told her Grandma Shen had been calling her.

"What? My phone is in the room," Feng Xi was ready to go upstairs, but Lady Yao stopped her. "Please talk on this," she stated, forwarding her mobile to Feng Xi.

"Grandma, I am sorry. My phone is in the room," Feng Xi stated.

"It is alright, Xi Xi. I called to inform you to buy yourself a beautiful dress for tomorrow. You have a wedding reception. The driver will take you to the mall and Lady Yao will accompany you. I would have loved to join you, but my knees start paining if I walk more than I should," Grandma Shen explained.

"I understand, Grandma," Feng Xi replied. The call disconnected and she handed the mobile to Lady Yao. "We have to go shopping. Tomorrow is the wedding reception," she added.

"You should get ready, and then we will leave," Lady Yao told Feng Xi, who looked at herself. "Isn't this dress great? I will bring my sling bag and card," she asserted and ran upstairs.

Within five minutes, Feng Xi reached the living room, her hair tied into a ponytail. "Let's go, Aunt Yao," Feng Xi said. She was not excited about the shopping, but the fact that she would be out of the mansion for a few hours. Lady Yao handed the black card to Feng Xi.

"Young Master Yu Han asked me to give this to you. Please keep this with you," Lady Yao stated and placed it in Feng Xi's palm.

"I don't need his money," Feng Xi muttered as she twitched her lips in annoyance.

"Young Master Yu Han suffered a lot after his accident. His current personality is the effect of that accident. He is not a bad person," Lady Yao said, but she refrained from going into details. She felt Feng Xi should work on her relationship with him.

"He blames my sister for our marriage," Feng Xi stated.

"That is because Young Master Yu Han did get betrayed by your elder sister. Forgive me if I sound rude, but Miss Yun Xi took advantage of the young master," Lady Yao proclaimed.

Feng Xi had nothing to say about that. She did feel pretty upset because of Yun Xi's action, but at the same time, she wanted to trust her sister. She looked outside the window and sighed.

Finally, they reached a luxurious dress shop from where Feng Xi was supposed to buy a dress for herself for tomorrow's reception. After an hour-long search, she selected a reem acra gown, which was of light shade of pink. Red rubies were used to ornate the dress. Though the dress was expensive she did not hesitate to buy it using Yu Han's black card. Lady Yao took the bag from the female employee at the counter.

"Feng Xi!?" A feminine voice fell into her ears and she turned to look.

"Who are you?" Feng Xi was unable to recognize the woman before her. She was dressed in an elegant one-piece dress with a diamond bracelet in her right hand and a luxurious handbag in another hand.

The woman chuckled to hear Feng Xi's question. "I'm Alice Yang."

Feng Xi instantly recognized her. Alice was Yun Xi's friend, whom she once saw at a party. She was going to apologize for not recognizing her, but Alice's next statement shocked her.

"I heard Yun Xi ran away from her marriage. Are you not humiliated by her actions? And what kind of clothes are you wearing?" Alice chuckled.

Lady Yao asked Alice to be respectful toward Feng Xi.

"Shut up, you old lady!" Alice said.

"You shouldn't talk like this—" Alice cut Feng Xi's words in the middle, thus not letting her speak.

"Feng Xi, it's you who should watch your words. I'm curious about your family background. Here you are, shopping in this extravagant shop when you should remain confined within your home after what your sister did. Yun Xi exudes class with her appearance, but you... well, you seem out of place," Alice remarked, not leaving any room for embarrassment.

Feng Xi never liked to put on makeup and did things like others would do. However, she was unable to understand why Alice had to say such harsh words to her.

Feng Xi found the other people in the shop, who started looking at her and whispering. She lowered her eyes.

Alice didn't stop there and kept commenting, "I wonder if your family ever thinks about you. All they spent on Yun Xi and her needs, who ran away with God knows who."

Wang Luwei, Yu Han's secretary, had come to the mall for some work when his gaze fell on the commotion there. His eyes widened to see Feng Xi being scolded by an unknown woman for no reason.

Without further delay, he took out his phone, made a video of that entire incident, and sent it to Yu Han.

After Alice walked away, Feng Xi excused herself and told Lady Yao to wait for her near the car.

"But—" Lady Yao couldn't complete her words as Feng Xi walked away.

Feng Xi went to the restroom and stood in front of the mirror. Her eyes welled up in tears. She couldn't hold her tears back for long and ended up weeping.
