Trouble In Paradise

Steve re-read the text so many times just to make sure that he wasn't reading it wrongly. He wiped his palm across his face and looked at his phone screen again. Joan was asking him for a divorce!

Steve crumpled on the bed as he continued to stare at the screen of his phone. His wife was asking him for a divorce. What was he going to do?

His phone started ringing and his sister was the one calling him.

"Lily, what's up?" Steve asked in a very sad voice.

"Ayo, what is the problem?" Lilian asked him when she heard his voice. 

"Jo left me," Steve said. He held his phone to one ear with his left hand, while he massaged his temple with his right hand.

"She left you? Was it because you told her about Chloe's pregnancy?" Lilian asked him.

"Yeah, it's because of Chloe's pregnancy, but she didn't get to know about it from me," Steve said.

"Who told her about it? Please don't tell me it was Chloe," Lilian asked him.
