Chapter 39: The Paths

After he finished cooking he still got a lot of time so instead Lukeas went to his backyard and usehe training area. At that time he practiced his Martial arts by cycling through all his movesets and making sure to use the right move per turn.

Smoothly chaining moves after moves. If someone were to see him now he would look like he was dancing.

With his upper body performing all the Martial arts he learned while his feet use his own footwork which is the [Death match]

"Come to think of it.. I've yet to name my Martial Art? And I've also collected quite a lot of them.... Hmm.. Name..."

Even while muttering and talking to his own he never stopped dancing. Performing flips, kick, sweep, stab, punch, spins, elbows, knees and many more continously.

Like an amalgamation of everything..

"totally..... Total totality?... A dance.... How about

And with that final statement he performed a roundhouse kick and stopped.

"Yeah.. That sounds cool"

After a few hours of training he also found something surprising and dissapointing...

He have stopped growing..

"My body need a stronger stimuli.." he sighed as he rub his body dry with his towel..

He just finished taking a bath after learning one heavy information..

His body seems too have been reach its current bottle neck..

And how is that? Well if your body get stronger depending on the external factors.. What would happen if your body is stronger than those factors?.. Yes.. It wouldn't affect him now.

Like his poison immunity.. If he ingest a poison right now it won't effect him.. Unless he took a stronger poison.. Stronger than the last poison he took.

And that what he need for his body as well.. A stronger damage.. A stronger stimuli. And right now. He doesn't have anything like that..

'should i buy some explosives?'

Then he snapped.. "Right! The General Study!" then he got to his room and changed into the clothes he just bought earlier this morning. Then he grab his staff and sling the strap on his shoulder and promptly open the door and head out.

Once outside he was on the process of closing the door when he heard something.. A sound of door closing besides him.. 'Ah... Right.. I have a neighboring dorm-mates'

"oh! Uhh.. Hell- Izerie???!! " he couldn't continue his sentence as he looked at the familiar face in shock.

"Weirdo! It's you!" she smiled

Turns out Izerie leaves in the same dormitory as she refused the S class "room" cuz it looks like home.. And wanted something new...

While walking out they also met some people.. Most of them bowing at Izerie, making Lukeas more uncomfortable since he was talking with her so casually..

"say... What's the General subject is about?" Lukeas ask trying to suppress the growing awkwardness of the situation.

"Oh.. It's about the general knowledge most people should learn.. Like history, some basic rules in mana, laws, culture, religion, stuffs like that.." she paused

"Why? Dont tell me you don't even know all of that??!!" she looked at him with the usuall jokingly mockery. Then laughed.

Lukeas sighed helplessly.. "Yes yes.. I'm just a caveman after all ."

"hehe.. Lets go.. From what i remember the topic today is a crucial one." and with that said they started jogging away to the shcool.

7 minutes later Lukeas could be seen seated in one chair. Looking around the huge room with curiosity.

The entire classroom were as big as the one in Havard back in earth.. It was almost like a theater. And hundreds of students could be seen seated.. Some are talking to their friends, while the other read books.

Some sit like a proper person while Izerie sit like a random thug

Her leg was on top of her desk, she was leaning back with both her hand behind her neck casually waiting for the teacher to come.

While Lukeas was more busy looking at all kinds of text painting, sculptures.. And all kinds of things that is hanging around the rooms wall.

Then suddenly the room went silent and everyone started taking their seat and properly sat down... Except for Izer though... She doesn't even look bother by it.

"..... Good afternoon, students of Aurora Academy. The light of the northern kingdom... I hope all of you got a nice lunch breaks." the person in the stage said witb a warm smile.

He was a middle age man with a pair of glasses, he wore a black robe and a white gloves. He was pretty tall.. Somewhere around 6'3. Black hair, black eyes, sharp nose, and round eyes.

He have a quite lanky physique, but he carries himself with confidence and he exude a powerful charisma.

"Im Professor Altair Colhesy" (Caul-Sie)

"And today I'll be teaching the Two pathway for humanities growth."

A faint murmur spread through the room and everyone suddenly seems more interested in the topic.

"As you may know there's two ways a person can get strong in our world... First of all... If he have a talent to mana and magic. One could become a mage, sorcerer, summoner, or many other mana related class.

And the other path is when one only have their physical strength as a talent. They could become a knight, Monk,

Martial Artist, berserker, barbarian, and more.

But you may asked.. What is the difference in this two?" he pause then look around the crowd.

Waiting for someone to say anything.. But after a few moments of silence decided to explain it himself.

"Well the difference is how they remove their limits and transcending their mortal restrictions and fully awakening."

Lukeas was shocked.. 'Beyond mortal restrictions? Awakening?'

"First.. Let's go to the Martial Path.. The physical side.

Martial artist would train 3 things. Their body, mind, and spirit. They make use of they ki, aura, and will. Tempering their body beyond their limit..

Breaking, restoring, and breaking them.. Repeating the cycle until they are left with a pure physical body. They do this by using their Ki as a fire.. And burning their body. Cleansing their body of their own impurities..

Most time this come with great deal of pain.. And this process does not happen in one go.. They would repeat this day after day until no more impurities are left.

Once they doesn't feel pain anymore.. That means they have finished their external tempering.. And will then undergo Internal body cleansing.. Where they burn each organ they have.. Like how they did to their flesh and skin..

This tempering is categories into level.

External (Low-Mid-High)

Internal (Bones-Lungs-stomach-heart-brain)

And yes.. They burn all those organs i mentioned.. And one mistakes..... They will suffer.. Or even die.. That is why Martial Artist have different kinds of Cultivation Method.. Each one unique to each other.. Producing different kinds of effect..

Like for example.. Using the [Falling Nine sky] a famous Cultivation Method of the Nine sky family makes the user who perfected this able to traverse the world faster.. They focus in speed and agility. While the [Red Demon Physique] makes the user extremely powerful..

So people who chose the Martial Path.. I suggest you all choose wisely of what you cultivate.. Make sure it fits your style..

And one they have tempered their body to their maximum limit.. They will then force their mana vertex in one of their organs..

And keep in mind.. Although Martial Path user are most of the time not proficient in magic.. They could still use Ki... Or in other word inner mana.. So yes.. They still have mana heart .

And by forcefully binding their Mana heart in one of their organ.. That chosen organ would evolve.. Becoming something.. Inhumane.. Most times they choose their flesh or bones for their first integration.. And this process requires a very powerful control over their ki.. As moving a solidified mana heart is akin to dragging a boat that have already anchored it self. " suddenly he saw a hand raised up.

" yes? " Altair gestured to the students to speak up

" Why dont they just integrate their mana heart in their chosen organ while the mana heart hasn't solidify yet? " the boy with a curly hair ask.

" That's good question.. And the answer is because they cant.. As doing it at such early age also means their body isn't trained enough and won't be able to handle the strain of their organ changing so drastically.. Unless your constitution is speciall and instantly accepted the change you won't survive it.

Thats like throwing an egg in the air to teach it to fly" Altair chuckled.

"Anyway that level is called

[First Integration] .. And they could keep repeating this process.. To the [Second Integration] but this time. They will have to make thier second mana vertex.. Which is their trade secrets on to how.. And bind it to another organ. They can do this until their entire body is a walking vertex.. Achieving strength akin to a god.

But the one thing they still have not achieve was binding their vertex to their heart.. As each time it would cause the user to either die or suffer from mana destruction and loose their ability to use mana. So it's pretty much a suicidal move for now.. And is also considered as forbidden.. Since it'll kill the user instantly..

But five hundred years ago.. It is believed that the great hero of the north Kratos Atreus Aurelius manage to pull this off.. And I'm the legend he was said to have teared a black dragon with his bear hand... "

With that final statement everyone went silent. As they couldn't believe it.

Not Lukeas though.. Cuz he doesn't have any idea who that guy is.. Or what a black dragon is...'Is it like minecraft? And at name is weirdly familiar... '

'Wait.... Wouldn't that mean I'm in the [First integration] already?!! Whats more! I used my heart to bind it!! Holy shit I'm OP as fuck!'

Right now.. Lukeas is once again making a weird face.. Making others look at him like hes a lunatic.
