Chapter 19: Second Test!

Lukeas was taken aback when he saw Arthur's impressive rank, his mind reeling in disbelief. As he gazed at the haughty expression on the former noble's face, he couldn't help but think, 'huh, he's actually quite skilled.' expectting him as the cliché trash bully

Arthur grinned lewdly at Camille, not bothering to hide his satisfaction. "How was that, beautiful?" he asked in a tone that dripped with arrogance.

Camille's response was clipped and to the point. "Not bad. Now get back to your position," she said, her frown deepening as Arthur walked away.

Lukas watched the exchange, noticing how Camille's expression soured as Arthur drew near. He could see that she was growing more and more irritated with Arthur's behavior. Even after he returned to his spot, her frown didn't fade. And then her gaze landed on Lukeas "You with the white shirt, the guy earlier.. Come up here" she said as she finally called for him.

As Lukeas made his way towards the stadium, he couldn't help but notice the looks of fear and hesitation on the faces of those around him. He, however, remained calm and focused, determined to complete the task that lay ahead. Slowly and steadily, he climbed the small steps leading to the entrance, his heart beating in his chest.

And then he saw her. Her beauty still took his breath away, just as it had the first time he saw her. As he approached her, he felt a rush of memories flood his mind, including the time he had a crush on his teacher back on earth. But he quickly pushed those thoughts aside and focused on the present.

But none noticed a shocked expression Camille have the moment Lukeas got closer.

And Lukeas didn't have to be told as he quickly placed his hand over the device and nervously looked up to the hologram over the stage. While every has a looked of confusion on their face

"Hah! His talent is too shit the device cant figure out which rank it should put him on! I bet it's lower than E!" Derek the noble which was one of the leaders the one who have been threatening and bullying the commoners not hiding his malice from other yelled out.

As for the hologram it displays a rank that keeps switching between ranks. Aa if a broken slot machine, it doesn't stop but kept rolling but slowly people started noticing it was slowly slowing down. And finally stopped at B rank...

Lukeas looked surprised.. He was expecting more to be honest. But this is enough for him for now. But before he could say something. Camille leaned in dangerously close.. At least dangerous enough to cause Lukeas unintended erection. Then she whispered. "If you pass all the test or not meet me at the teachers lounge area.. I have some questions to ask.." then he felt her pushed him away. "Now go, don't tell anyone. It will be our little secret ~" she said. A complete 180 to her behavior earlier. 'Why is she acting like this?' Lukeas thought.. 'I'm not really handsome compared to the others here.'.

But no answer came to mind. As Lukeas eyed her since then. Eye filled with questions, sometimes even fear.. Or blushing even, as forbidden thought enters his mind. He watched her call people after people on the stage and test their talent. As time goes on the crowd was split into two.. Those who passed and those who don't.

Alexandra Sophia Von Ewen.. The daughter of his new friend actually passed with flying colors. She passed the test with a rank of S. Then the veiled girl that wears a white beautiful dressed got a ranked of SS, Lukeas also overhead people saying she was actually the princess of this kingdom, and was the sister of the crowned prince. And her name was Cassadin Jehies(Jay yeas) Aurelius.. The daughter of Marcus Lucious Aurelius III or the current king.

Her brother Casper Dearborn Aurelius meanwhile scored a whooping SSS in terms of potential. Making a certain prideful commoner scoff.

Adam Soles Von Astrid and Allan Lunes Von Astrid the twin that wears a black and red military uniform, the children of the great General Galloway Phoebus Von Astrid III on the other hand both got the rank S.

And as for the bully noble Derek? He scored an S. It was great but after Casper and Arthur's achievements he was overshadowed. But the surprising thing was another commoner scored a SSS! He looked wimpy and spineless. And his name was Alfrey. After the result came out some commoners even started talking with him. Specially the girls.. And as for Arthur? He was looking at him with rage...

Lukeas on the other hand remained unseen and unnoticeable. He was standing far in the back memorizing names and their ranks. To see which to avoid and which to possibly befriend. He excluded those with high rank of course because usually in the stories he read.. Those people are usually in trouble everytime because people are jealous.. And he doesn't wanna get involved in those..

Then a rhythmic clap rang in the field attracting the attention of everyone back to the stage. "Now.. The phase 2 of the test shall begin. See you.." she said but Lukeas noticed that she has her eyes on him while saying those last words before she turned around and slowly walked away. The boys watched as her hips sway with each of their step not even noticing the elder man that got up the stage by using the other steps. Until the man screamed. "ATTTEEEENTIOOON!" his voice was like a thunder and shook everyone on their senses.

"The second test shall begin... And how do you pass it?" he pause then suddenly the stadium expanded as the tiles of the floors around the stage rised up and made the stadium into a ring lile platform.. "I'll decided... " he finished his sentence as he smiled. "You can use whatever it is that you have, magic? That's fine! Fighting style and martial arts? That's even better! Both? Sure! Give it all you got... Now any volunteer?"

And one hand stood out in the crowd without hesitations.

"Im Adam Soles Von Astrid! I would like to participate Sir!" the man with a very bright and enthusiastic ligh yelled with confidence as he smiled.
