Chapter 16: Enrollment!

Its been almost a week since then. And after hearing the things about Blessed powers Lukeas wondered.. 'Perhaps a God brought him into this world? And gave him all his cheats... And was it the voice i heard when i... Uh.. Revive??..' all this wondering causes him to lose focus and suddenly he felt his face getting hit by something hard making him flinch back to reality as he step his left foot back to stop him self from falling..

"I did it!" Alexandra exclaimed, a triumphant laugh ringing out. "Finally, I hit you!" She had been training with Lukeas all week in swordsmanship, and he still couldn't shake the memory of her comical reaction when he used her own techniques against her. At first, she had thought he had simply learned her style a long time ago, but then she realized that it was unlikely for anyone to learn the same swordsmanship unless they had permission from the king or were taught by a general in the king's army.

Fortunately for Alexandra, her grandfather was a general, but that realization led her to the conclusion that Lukeas had never learned her style in the past. He had been telling the truth all along, only mimicking her technique after fighting her for a long time. Since then, she has done all that she could to improve herself. She corrected her mistakes and even mastered the art of feinting. Despite her hard work and perseverance, every time she gained an advantage in combat, Lukeas seemed to catch up. He would effortlessly imitate her improvements in swordsmanship, making it seem as though she was battling her own reflection. With each passing battle, her respect and admiration for Lukeas grew even stronger..

'B-but its not like I likes him or anything that's dumb!'

"Hey that doesn't count! I was thinking about something!" Lukeas protested but Alexandra only wave her finger at him no.

"No no no no... Is it my fault that your thinking of something so deep at the middle of combat? In real life doing that will kill you!" she said in a smiling face..

Lukeas scowled at Alexandra, his brow furrowed in annoyance. "You have a lot of audacity using my own spell against me, Alexandra," he muttered. "But let's put that aside for now. It's getting late and we need to get some sleep. The enrollment is tomorrow and we can't afford to be late."

With a nod, Alexandra grabbed a towel from the pile that Charmes had set out for them and headed to her room for a relaxing bath. Lukeas followed suit, knowing that a good night's rest was essential for the challenges that lay ahead. Tomorrow was going to be a big day, and they both needed to be at their best.

*******

As the sun rose on a new day, everyone was up and about, buzzing with excitement. They had taken great care to put together their finest attire, donning their best clothes, shoes, and jewelry. The aim was to present themselves as impeccably as possible.

Lady Leonora Aslan Von Ewen was resplendent in her extravagant blue dress, which shimmered like the starry sky on a clear night. She carried a delicate blue fan and a fashionable hat that added the perfect touch to her already stunning appearance.

Alexandra Sophia Von Ewen, the daughter of the merchant and noble, was also dressed to impress. She was also enrolling in the academy and wanted to make a good impression. Her sleeves-fitting dress was embroidered with a crimson flower pattern and was both comfortable and practical, allowing her to move freely while looking her best. She wore sandals instead of heels, a choice that was both practical and stylish.

As for our protagonist, Lukeas, he was dressed in a simple white t-shirt that has a sleeve that reached just above his elbows. The shirt was complemented by a pair of sleek black pants, which looked similar to cargo pants from his previous life on Earth. He finished his look with a pair of simple white shoe. In the past, Lukeas might have blended into a crowd, but with his new attire, he stood out a bit more, easily recognizable.

Lukeas had also styled his shoulder-length hair into a mid-ponytail, making him look more polished and presentable. He now had the appearance of a middle-class individual. Despite Ewen offering him his old clothes, Lukeas still looked out of place together with the Ewen family. However, he was perfectly content with that because he and the Ewen family had already agreed that he would walk to the academy on his own while the other three members of the family would take their carriage so that there would be no rumors of the family taking in a commoner.

Andrew wasn't particularly concerned if other nobles began to discuss it, but Lukeas was aware that Alexandra could potentially face bullying at the academy, especially since the institution originally only accepted noble students. Lukeas also suggested that Alexandra pretend not to know him at first, to avoid any misunderstandings or false rumors.

And with that they set off.

"See you again old man" Lukeas said as he watched Andrew hop on the carriage..

"Im not that old" Andrew smiled as the butler closed the door. Then the coachman whip the horse and departs. The horse drawn carriage slowly fade in the distance.

And with that Lukeas started walking to the direction of the academy.

A few moments later just out side of the walled gate of the academy the Ewen family have arrived. And was standing in front of the gate. Everywhere you looked one would find countless other carriages in thw street in front of this gate. Each of them varying from size, color and design.. With each having multiple different family seal. However one carriage stood out from the rest. It was built from white colored wood and a gold framing it have a beautiful liom symbol on the door of the carriage and the creatures that draws this was also unique.. It was a horse like creature but with two golden horn and steel lile hooves.

And on the other hand the Ewen family is now saying their farewell to their child as no parents are allowed in.

"You need to be cautious in that school, Alexandra," Andrew warned as he looked into his daughter's eyes. "Everyone there will be your adversary, except for Lukeas. But still, be careful. Don't show any signs of weakness or they might target you."

Alexandra nodded in understanding. "Yes, Father."

"If you're ever in trouble, try reaching out to Lukeas for help. Based on what you've told us about your training sessions with him, he's a strong ally to have on your side," Andrew added, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.

"You make it sound like I'll definitely pass the test," Alexandra commented, lowering her head with uncertainty.

Just then, she felt a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sure you will, Alexandra," her mother, Leonora, reassured her. "They won't expect you to have any knowledge of swordsmanship, since they'll think you've only focused on becoming a powerful mage."

"Goodness, I can even feel the strength in your muscles just from touching your shoulders," Leonora said, shaking her head. "How will you find a man who can handle all that strength? Maybe i should start finding you a good husband? I heard some men like strong women that dominates then in bed... "

Blushing at the comment, Alexandra replied, "I don't know, Mother. But I'm more focused on passing the test."

Andrew stepped in, noticing the change in conversation. "Don't worry about that now, Leonora. Her priority should be the test and proving herself. Lets fill her mind with not worries now shall we?." he said as he secretly winked at his daughter making her smile.

Then she turned around and went through the gate of the academy. While the two parents left looked at each other.

"Do we really need to join the gathering? Those bastards would just brag about their children saying they would pass.. Even betting on which children will pass and which one wont.." Leonora said. And Andrew just smiled and wrapped his arm around her waist. "I know you hate it dear... But we need this to establish some connections..... Now.. Shall we go?" he said pointing at their own carriage on one of the spots in the street.

"Shouldn't we wait for Lukeas?" she asked hesitantly. In which Andrew replied. "I think he doesn't need anyone to send him in and give him some farewell.. I think he even hates those kind of thing" He smiled.. And urge her once again to their carriage which she finally agreed to.

And just a few moments later Lukeas finally arrived.. All the other noble kids and their parents looked at him with annoyance some disgust..and a few other with hatred.. But Lukeas ignored them all and headed in.

"heh...he maybe wearing a decent clothes but the fact that he went here on foot means he's not a big shot.. He doesn't even have a family sigil.. Nor does a parents... Another peasant.... Make sure you remember his face... If he somehow pass lets show him his rightful place... " a man with a huge body and a extravaganza clothes said.. He was also surrounded by other men and women. Sharing the same thoughts as him as they smiled and took notes of other commoners who went in..
