"What do you mean by that!"
By now, Evelyn's voice had become somewhat shrill, and her whole body instinctively backed away.
"Do you think you can frame me just by forging a few recordings? Impossible! Sophia Cloud has been frolicking with Christopher Lewis, did I say anything wrong?"
Leo Harrell, who had been silently listening from the background, could no longer contain himself. He quickly walked over to Evelyn, stretching out his hand to tightly grasp her wrist.
Feeling the confinement around her wrist, Evelyn involuntarily looked to her side. When she saw Leo's face before her eyes, she became even more panicked.
"Leo, how did you get back?"
If he had already come back, then he must have heard what she had just said.
"Evelyn, you have truly disappointed me!"
A flicker of disappointment passed through Leo's eyes, and Evelyn captured this emotion in her own, quickly shaking her head.
"No, it's not like that, Leo. I didn't do that, I really didn't, you have to believe me."
