end of Day 3: the wild dungeon and a unique enemy

6 hours later

I left the dungeon as I start to fly up into the sky and began to make my way out towards the Wilds of the beginners town. as I fly over the trees I looked around calmly I then saw what seem to be some kind of Cavern with a portal I started flying down to it because that looked like a dungeon. as I started to approach it the system notified me.

" congratulations you have found the Undead Barrow dungeon level 10"

this brought a smile to my face because this will end up being a much better grinding area for levels. I started to walk towards the portal as I decided to ask the system a question.

" is there a way to bind the undead in this dungeon."

the system replied very quickly.

" you personally can not but balrog can. since he is a Undead Commander unit he can take control over nearby undead though you will not get any loot or XP."

hearing this I nodded my head as I decided to walk into the dungeon to see what it's like as I walked in the system seem to issue me a quest.

" Quest has been issued: army of One. you have entered an area with many enemies with a small army lies within clear the dungeon on your own to receive a reward note this does apply to your summons as well. Rewards one spell upgrade token 10 attribute orbs and two passive ability upgrade token."

I stayed silent as I was quite impressed with the rewards. I quickly accepted the quest as I equipped a hammer from my inventory. I then started to walk into the Barrow I saw many skeletons and zombies which I quickly ran to them and dispatched them with a single blown to the head with my hammer. it wasn't very hard to deal with a skeleton and a zombie hell I would even argue that I was too easy.

after walking around for about half an hour I eventually came upon a large stone door as I start to open the stone door I saw a large knight wielding a massive Greetsword but you could probably mistake it for a Ultra Greatsword from Dark Souls. before I enter the system notify me if something.

" warning unique enemy has been detected new Quest has been issued name the undead Barrow champion Gruen: defeat the Undead champion Gruen and receive Undead totem and one Undead trait."

I accepted the quest as I entered the room the knight lifted its head up to look me directly in the eyes. it seemed to speak with a very deep and gravity voice probably has not been used a few hundred years most likely.

" a new Challenger... made my Lord enjoy the battle that is to come."

as soon as I was about 10 steps away from the door it closed immediately slamming shut I began to ready myself with my shield in front of me running to block I quickly didn't quit the hammer and switch back to my spear. I got into a battle ready position champion Gruen charge head first towards me. as soon as he took a swing at me I use pairing Shield Bash and then slamming it into him which seems to stun him as I flew up and shoved the spirit into the place is where there is holes for the eyes and the helmet champion Gruen screamed in pain but jump backwards I was surprised that he was alive but then again he was Undead and I wasn't entirely sure on how headshots would work on all enemies. soon champion Gruen charged again but this time I used wall of thorns as soon as Gruen hit the wall 5% of his attack he just got reflected onto him

I was shocked to see the damage indicator being 400 damage. I knew this thing had a very high stats right at that moment and that may have explained why I didn't instant kill him. checking that off I began to fly around the chamber using binding Vines on Gruen would seem to slow him down only a little I quickly died to him just slam another hit to his head with my spear this time this made him stagger and fall on one knee. not letting him have the time to recover I quickly repeatedly thrust my spear against his head after what seems to be 3 minutes of stabbing Gruen finally died and I got a string of notifications.

" level up"

with this I was very happy. I may leave looked at my stunts.

I was quite happy with my stats so far I decided to use the 10 attribute course to increase my intelligence bringing it up to 83. then I looked at the other Rewards which were one spell upgrade token, two passive ability, upgrade token, one Undead totem and finally one Undead trait.

I'm decided to take a look at the undead the system quickly pulled up a panel and an explanation.

" under trades are trained possessed by certain Undead creatures."

as I look through the undead traits I found two that really caught my eye the first one was called vampirism and the second one was called necrosis. so I decided to read the description of the two.

" vampirism: this is more than just a symptom is a curse those inflicted by it become vampires. getting an increase in stats when being afflicted by it. so you will receive some disadvantages such as being 25% weaker in direct sunlight this will also make you requiring you to feed on people."

" necrosis: necrosis is a status effect for those who have this treat they are capable of inflicting poison damage on every attack they also gain an immunity to every disease unless they wish to be able to receive the disease they will always have an immunity to it but they also gain complete immunity to poison damage."

this really caught my attention necrosis effectively made me immune to diseases and poison damage in general but vampirism would give me an increase in stats. that's how you think about it vampirism would also give me weaknesses and it will make me feed on people just to Stave off the hunger though the increase in stats will be very useful the drawbacks do not justify the perks so I simply chose necrosis as my Undead trait. and so the system notified me.

" congratulations you have obtain the necrosis trait."

I then got very curious about the undead totem and just like that the system gave me an answer.

" a species totem gives you increased relations with that species and the case of the undead totem it will give you increase relations with the undead faction. or they have a secondary use if given to a member of that species they can use it to begin evolving into a higher form note that only monster races possess species totems."

okay with that I knew I was going to give that to balrog. then I started to consider about the upgrade tokens what spell do I want to upgrade and what passive abilities do I want to upgrade. I decided to upgrade name with the passive ability tokens the system notified me.

" congratulations the passive ability name has been upgraded to subordinates."

of course I upgraded subordinates automatically not even bothering to read its description.

" congratulations the passive ability subordinate has been upgraded to Royal Guard."

of course now I read the description of royal guard.

" royal guard: the upgraded version of subordinate we're subordinates gain increased intelligence combat efficiency and even capable of creating their own squadrons of soldiers to be summoned right beside them. the royal guard instantly elevates the servants to the status of a companion capable of being fully autonomous not requiring to be ordered to be able to get something done. they also level up with their master gaining new spells abilities even passively evolving."

that left me extremely impressed at the Improvement I absolutely wondered if it could be upgraded any further and of course whenever I wonder something the system answered.

" Royal Guard can no longer upgrade."

I nodded my head though I do wish it could have upgraded further I did understand it was already an extremely powerful ability. then I moved my attention to the upgrade spell token of course I could upgrade undying servant to create more powerful Undead but instead of doing that I decided to pay more attention towards one of my other spells specifically wall of thorns so in that moment I decided to upgrade it and of course the system notified me.

" congratulations your spell wall of thorns has been upgraded to barricade of thorns."

"barricade of thorns: create a barricade of thorns in front of the Caster whenever anyone hits it with a physical Attack 15% of that physical damage is reflected back on to the attacker and has a 15% chance of causing the bleeding effect on the attacker. though it can also has a 10% chance to cause the poison effect on the attacker."

I nodded my head to this because it did make sense it was very much an improvement. and with that I used up all my rewards sadly the undead Champion didn't drop a single item in fact none of the undead in this dungeon dropped any items for me I guess I was just unlucky but even if I didn't gain any items I gained three levels so I am very much Happy. but then I had an idea I looked over to the champions corpse as I extended my hand outward and decided to use undying servant. then the system notify me of something that caught me off guard.

" warning using undying servant on this corpse will create a unique Undead unit."

I honestly forced my way past this notification and turn this Champion into a Geist just like I did with balrog. when the body stood up I looked at it calmly as I continued keeping my hand extended outward and used royal guard on it.

" you from now on will be known as draken."

after I had named it it seemed to have grown three heads taller and his body seemed much more broad as it dropped to one knee and began to speak.

" I am at your service my Lord."

I decided just to dismiss my newest member of the world guard. soon the 30 minutes were up and I was teleported outside of the dungeon I started to stretch as I started to think about today's events and proven very useful I started to fly back to the beginner town. I decided to send a message in the Guild chat after some time of thinking.

" well I now have another member of my named summons and I have gotten stronger balrog should have gotten stronger as well."

the only one to reply was Riku.

" that's great to hear guildmaster everyone else is currently asleep also Sora has told me that the Guild House will be done in about 3 more days."

I nodded my head as I had noticed I had just arrived at the beginner town and I began making my way towards the tavern so I could go to bed. as soon as I had entered my room I noticed Amy was asleep in my bed so I just chose to lay down next to her and pull her into my embrace and to go to sleep.
