Spying

After about ten minutes of waiting a window appeared before Ulric, it was the Trade Post interface, he wasn't sure how it worked initially, apparently he could access the Trade post remotly the first time and after that Lee Mos would sell the same items for the same price and duration, knowing the demand he put the single stat raising items on short auctions and the multi stat raising items on for as long as they would go.

Once the trading was taken care of lee then completed his delivery, much to Harvey's surprise and alarm, apparently Lee had waited for him and when he logged in was stood right before him, after a slight pratfall the package was handed over, Harvey messaged Ulric thanking him for the food and the heart attack, after a quick message chat Ulric summoned lee back and commenced the Class quest.

Ulric spent the next few days either hunting, or sneaking around the main city's guild district spying on his cousin, most of the time his cousin would brag about the size of his car, how he had 2 girls on the go in game, how his mother was powerful, when asked why he was here he said,

"one day i'm gonna be the boss round here,"

He had a big mouth, but thanks to his research Ulric knew the only was for his cousin to take over the guild was for the guild leader to willingly hand over the guild seal, or for it to be taken by force, this was enough information for Ulric to work out what was probably going on, his aunt made her son join this guild so she could take it over somehow, he wasn't sure how but her son must be a part of her plan, otherwise she wouldn't let her 'precious baby' join a guild she wasn't involved in.

As far as he knew the Platinum Paladins were literal white knights, they would heal injured players or aid them in battle, they would help low level players do dungeons or field bosses, all in all nice guys, and he had a friend in that guild, Owain the NPC knight, so even though he didn't want to get involved yet, he had to do something eventually, but this information will be useful.

As he was pondering all this a low level player approached the guild building, Ulric took notice as Reddgar and his cronies started jeering at the player, shouting insults and threts, the player feebly asked if they wanted to buy any potions, Reddgar walked right up to him and said,

"sure just meet me outside the city in half an hour, i'll buy some off you there."

Ulric had seen players selling their stuff in person before, low level crafters would sell their stuff cheaply to make a little money, and most people would buy, high level players were mostly good to 'lowbies', as to them the money was pretty much pocket change, but Ulric was certain this was not going to happen for this player, he followed them out at a distance and when they got to a secluded area there was a sound of a sword being swing, a whoosh, and the Reddgar walked back to the city laughing.

Ulric waited for the poor player to resurrect, and when he did Ulric hid his face and body under some leather and cloth armor and walked up to him, the player shrank away assuming uric was going to kill him, Ulric got in close and pushed a package into the players hands then walked away, he thought it wasn't much but he couldn't save everyone.

The player opened the package to find 3 Island pies, he couldn't believe his luck, he ate one right away, and looked at Ulric's disappearing form,

"thank you."
