Discard the Spoiled Egg
Initially, everyone thought that Marcus was just overly concerned about Lora, so they didn't pay much attention to the child that day.

The incubation period for the Mermaid Clan was short.
In other words, when they spoke outside the egg, the hatchling inside could hear them.
After breaking out of the shell, the hatchling would know who its parents were.
After all, parents love their children!
Judging by Marcus's indifference and neglect towards his own hatchling, it was unlikely that he would consider himself the father once the child hatched.
