"Huh?"
"Shiro. A shorter form of your name, can I call you by that?" Airi repeated herself, this time even more elaborating. She knows in the past she gave him that name only after she started going out with him, in this lifetime. And somehow, that short name stuck forever to his fate. Ironically, she was the only one who couldn't call him by that name, while everyone claimed the closure, the right on him to do so.
"Shiro... that means white." He muttered to himself, in a low voice, but not so low to be unheard by her. "That's... kind of... pardon me, but, don't you think that would be a bit ironical?"
"Why is that?"
"Of course. You do know that Shiro in Japanese means white, right?"
"And you do know that I am half Japanese, right? I don't think you need to worry about my father teaching me everything about his homeland." Airi shrugged her shoulder in response.
