Chapter 155

A/N:- New novels are out.

"Clip-clop. Clip-clop. Clip-clop."

The rhythmic sound of horse hooves ran out in the street.

Lucas looked out of the carriage window at the wheat left out drying in the sun and smiled. "People will settle down seeing so much wheat. There's no need to panic when the family has a surplus of food."

Mina, seated across from him, nodded thoughtfully. "True, but it's not just about having enough food. It's also about the peace of mind that comes with it. When people see abundance, they feel secure."

Lucas chuckled softly. "Indeed. A full larder can do wonders for morale. And it's not just about the food. It's a sign of prosperity and stability."

"Mhmm." Ayesha nodded. She got right next to Lucas and looked out the window with him. Seeing all the wheat, Ayesha wanted to find a bag to pull all the wheat in it so she could carry them home.

"…" Mina's eyes twitched as she looked at Ayesha. 'This fat cow's face is almost right on Young Master's face.'

"Hmm?" Mina looked down and saw Ayesha's swaying tail. She grinned evilly, and she slowly reached out and grabbed Ayesha's tail. She pulled Ayesha's tail.

"Ahhh!" Ayesha moaned as she wet her clothes. Ayesha's body stiffened and her cheeks flushed. She shivered and sweated, and she collapsed onto Lucas.

"Hmm? Ayesha? What's wrong?" Lucas asked when he felt someone in his arms. He looked at Ayesha, and her watery purple eyes stirred his heart a little.

"I'm… out of… strength…" Ayesha couldn't muster up any strength due to the weird feeling coming from her tail and pussy.

Mina gritted her teeth. 'What the fuck. Did I just help her? I literally just sent Ayesha into the Young Master's embrace.'

"Out of strength? Are you hungry?" Lucas was confused. Earlier that morning, Ayesha had gone to his room and tickled his toe with her tail to wake him up so he could make her the 8th fish feast meal in the past 3 days.

"N- no." With a jolt, Ayesha hastily moved back and jerked her head to look at Mina. She narrowed her eyes and said "Mina! How dare you sneak attack me."

"D- don't come here." Mina said, waving her hands. "It was an accident."

"I don't care. I'm getting my revenge." With that, Ayesha lunged at Mina. Since they were in a carriage, there was nowhere for Mina to run, so Ayesha easily pinned her down with her boobs.

"Mmm… let go… mmm! I can't… breathe…" Mina said while being pinned down by Ayesha.

"Hehehe…" Ayesha lifted her right hand, wiggled her fingers, and started tickling Mina's waist.

"Hahahaha… no… don't…" Mina laughed and wriggled in place from the tickling, and it was as if she was a beautiful snake lady.

"Hahahaha… Young Master, save… save me…" Mina begged for help as tears formed in her eyes from her laughter.

"Geez." Lucas smiled as he looked at Ayesha and Mina. Mina is usually the one bullying Annie, and now, Ayesha is the one bullying her. What lovely quarreling.

"Young Master… I… I can't… anymore… You're… about to… lose me…" Mina said in a weak voice as if she was on the verge of death and stretched out her hand.

"…" Lucas rolled his eyes and looked at Ayesha, who was swaying her ass as she tickled Mina. He was unable to control the sudden strength that appeared in his right arm, and then…

"Slap."

"Ah!" Ayesha stopped and covered her ass with her hands. She looked at Lucas angrily and pouted.

"Cough cough… That's enough. We're nearly at the castle." Lucas said, turning his head to look out the window with a straight face. "Huh? Why are there so many people surrounding the castle entrance?"

Looking at the people in fancy clothes surrounding the castle's door, Lucas immediately deduced what was happening, and he beckoned Chris to come over.

Chris immediately approached Lucas. "Yes, Young Master?" he asked.

"Look at that crowd," Lucas said, pointing towards the bustling scene outside. "It seems like there's something going on at the castle entrance. What's going on?"

Chris glanced and saw the throngs of elegantly dressed guests and officials, murmuring among themselves and waiting at the gates. "I wasn't informed of any special event today," Chris replied. "I'll check with the castle staff immediately."

"Do that," Lucas said, nodding. "We need to know what's happening before we arrive. It might affect our plans for the day."

As Chris moved, Lucas leaned back in his seat, his eyes still fixed on the commotion. "I hope this doesn't interfere with our schedule." he murmured.

After some time Chris returned. "My lord, they are merchants waiting for you." Chris said as he rode his horse over.

"Go chase those merchants away and put out the word that I will be at the Drunken Night Restaurant tomorrow." Lucas said, smiling.

"Understood." Chris signaled with his hands, and then along with No. 3 and No. 4, they rushed toward the merchants.

"You guys have some nerves. Are you trying to besiege the City Lord's Mansion?" Chris accused the merchants of a crime as soon as he got there.

No. 3 and No. 4 cooperatively unsheathed their swords and stared coldly at the merchants.

"No no. We just have something we would like to request to see Lady Annie for." The merchants immediately got frightened and panically explained themselves, afraid that the 3 people would slaughter them. After all, there were times when knights were more ferocious than horse thieves.

"Lady Annie isn't seeing guests today. Hurry up and disperse. Don't block Lord City Lord's path." Chris clamped the horse's belly with his feet, and the horse took a few steps forward, scaring the merchants to back up a few steps.

"Lord City Lord has returned?"

"Then we request to see the City Lord. We have a big business to discuss with the City Lord."

The merchants exchanged glances, their frustration barely contained. "This is a matter of significant importance," one of them insisted. "We have contracts and agreements that need his immediate attention. Can you at least give us an estimate on when he might be free?"

When the merchants heard that Lucas had returned, they all called to see Lucas, acting as if Lucas would miss out on a lot of money if he didn't see them.

"Scram."

Chris unsheathed his sword and stared at the merchants angrily. He waved his sword around, threatening to cut someone, and said, "Who do you think you are to be able to see City Lord whenever you want? Hurry up and leave."

"Yes yes." The merchants immediately shut up, shrunk their necks, and moved back. They were frightened by Chris, and they pretended to be pitiful. This was a trick that they used frequently.

"Clip-clop. Clip-clop. Clip-clop."

The sounds of horse hooves ran out, and the merchants turned to look. They immediately recognized it to be Lucas's carriage, and they were just about to call out to Lucas when Chris shut them up with a glare.

"Clip-clop. Clip-clop. Clip-clop."

The carriage moved past the merchants and into the City Lord's Mansion, and the merchants could only sigh in dismay.

"Hmph. Next time you dare to make a fuss in front of the City Lord's Mansion, I will arrest all of you." Chris threatened and walked into the City Lord's Mansion with the others.

The merchants shivered. They could see from Chris's eyes that he was serious and wasn't just making an empty threat.

"What do we do? It'll be hard for us to buy large quantities of goods and make much money if the purchase restriction doesn't get lifted."

"Let's just wait. We'll get a chance eventually. Didn't the city lord just come back? He'll soon lift the purchase restriction once he realizes how much income we will provide him."

"Patience, then," he said, his voice steady despite the tension. "In the meantime, let's use this period to strengthen our alliances and ensure that when the restriction is lifted, we are in the best position to take advantage.

"The others murmured in agreement, their anxiety tempered by a sense of cautious optimism. Each merchant knew that their fortunes were tied to the whims of the city lord, but they also understood the importance of readiness and strategy.

"…"

Joe was among the merchants, and he smiled coldly as he listened to the merchants. 'Do these guys think Lucas is a fool or an idiot who only thinks about money? Just look at the wheat lying around the city being dried and anyone will understand. He's a noble, and he only collects 30% of the wheat as taxes, which is the lowest tax rate in the whole kingdom. What kind of person has this kind heart? This generosity? What did these commoners do in their past lives to get so lucky to have a genius teenage noble as their city lord? I can't wait to meet Baron Lucas. Maybe, I can have my daughter whom I love the most…'
