Chapter 5- Pain

5 years I have been in this world and still no sign of my powers. I have honestly gotten used to the idea that I might not even have those abilities. Even the abilities of ope-ope no mi have yet to show up. Also the Being said something about special weapons? I still haven't gotten those, though I am not sure if I already have them or I have to find them.

Almost a year has gone by since I first started to help Selina in her heists and have completed 7 heists with her.

The tingle in my body comes and goes in irregular intervals and is very uncomfortable but I am slowly getting used to it though it sometimes escalates to pain.

As preparation to get my abilities especially the ope-ope no mi I have been studying medical information especially to do with the operating room and any operation. Though I have memorized almost all the information I still don't have a good grasp on it and know no practical application.

I also checked my observation haki which was quite easy to do and I wondered why I didn't do it sooner. It was weird how you are able to sense and 'feel' everything around you without touching anything and to 'hear' everything around you without sound.

I believe I got this haki so easily as it is part of my wish so it became innate. My observation haki is still in its nascent stage and only extends to a 5 meter radius which in my opinion is already a lot.

I try to keep haki activated as much as possible and now am able to catch Selina when she sneaks up on me sometimes.

From what I understand about observation haki is that I have basically evolved my danger sense/intuition and all my physical senses to open up to the world and am able to observe all the information that comes in. This is the first stage, I assume later on I will have to further evolve my intuition to be even able to see into the future. Though I am nowhere close right now.

It is now the month of February and I keep having these brief flashes of pain which I sometimes show and this gets Selina really worried. She wanted to take me to the doctor nut I refused as I didn't want my blood tested.

I didn't know if it will somehow show I am not human.

One day at the start of the second week of February me and Selina were lazily relaxing in front of the TV after successfully pulling off another heist which got us as much as 50,000$ of which I get 25,000$. Selina is certainly not stingy in giving me money. Most of the money is again invested into Star Labs which has become better and more famous in the last year.

I was absent minded and was stroking the neck of Otto, a fat orange cat who lay on the ground, while holding Isis, a black cat with yellow eyes, in my arms as she was playing with my back length hair.

Selina was petting Hecate, a black cat with green eyes, who didn't let anyone else touch her even me. She is a very scary cat and was once able to even make the Penguin afraid as she scratched and clawed at him, taking a few chunks of his legs and arms, when he tried to capture Selina in her earlier years.

We were watching the news which was reporting our heist which took place in Star city, as Batman was getting on our tails we switched cities for this heist, when my body erupted in pain. I stiffened for a while and tried my best not to make a sound but Selina noticed py pale face.

"What happened to you?",she asked me while checking my temperature. I couldn't answer her through the pain and was only able to manage a groan before I lost consciousness.
