Chapter 24: A Big Brother's Love

Author's Note: I did it, I defeated the Dino within me (dino = ultimate skill,Belphegor, Lord of Sloth).

Author's POV

"I hope you had a good time," Hanju declared to Soha Yang, not far from her home.

"Yes, it was fun. Next time, we could try the carnival," she replied nonchalantly, but her eyes couldn't hide her nervousness and a bit of anticipation.

"Yes, next time, we'll go there," Hanju said before giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"You'll write to me," he said to a completely red Soha as he left.

"Ding!"

Shortly after his departure, his phone started ringing.

"Hello, yes, Mr. Tom Lee," Hanju said in a noticeably different voice from when he was with Soha Yang.

"Glad you answered the phone, kid," a frivolous voice responded from the other side.

"If you're calling me, it's about money, right?" Hanju said without beating around the bush.

"We haven't even been together in the agency for a month, but you already understand how I operate, haha," Tom Lee declared, laughing before the laughter abruptly stopped.

"Alright, let's talk seriously. We have a hot job, and I want you and Johan to handle it," he explained.

"You know very well that Johan and I are currently a bit at odds, so it will be complicated for us to work together," Hanju stated his opinion to Tom Lee directly when he learned he would be working with Johan.

"Don't worry about Johan's character; he won't cause you any trouble, at least during this job," he calmly expressed to alleviate Hanju's doubt.

"Okay, when should I come to the agency for this job?" Hanju asked, already envisioning his future job that he would have to carry out with Johan.

"You'll come tomorrow to get the details about the job, and don't ruin your health until then," Tom Lee said before hanging up.

Hanju put his phone in his pocket before looking up at the sky.

"It seems that soon I'll be able to meet you if all goes well, Daniel Park," Hanju thought with a savage smile.

"With the AI and my training done with Hansu, I think I'm ready to try and reach mastery or UI or the both, and you're going to help me, Daniel Park."

"I'm sorry in advance, but you've fallen in love with a woman who is too good for you," a voice resounded behind Hanju.

Author's POV (from Cheonhak Yang's side, 20th in the Gangbuk hierarchy)

"'Woman is not yet capable of friendship: she knows only love.' Nietzsche said that, and it seems he was right," Cheonhak Yang said, observing his sister acting shyly with an unknown man on the street.

"I knew she was hiding something today, but I could never have guessed," Cheonhak thought, following them from afar, but not too closely.

"What scum dares to steal my little sister from me" Cheonhak pondered, watching their interaction, which seemed too close to him. Currently, he was wearing glasses and a hat to prevent his sister from recognizing him.

While he waited outside the movie theater, his sister Soha and the despicable individual finally came out to eat later at a small street restaurant.

"He can't even take my sister to a decent restaurant, that scum, and on top of that, he placed his lips on her delicate forehead. As Nietzsche would say, 'For the strong, nothing is more dangerous than pity.' I won't spare this guy, but first, I must obtain his identity."

As Cheonhak pondered whether to attack "the despicable individual who had a date with his sister," he caught sight of a scene that nearly drove him mad.

The despicable individual had given his beloved sister a kiss on the cheek.

But fortunately, Cheonhak had acquired some tolerance from watching them flirt, so he could contain himself until they parted.

"I'm sorry in advance, but you've fallen in love with a woman who is too good for you," he said in a determined tone to eliminate this person who had deceived his innocent sister.

"What do you want?" the man replied, turning around. This allowed Cheonhak Yang, who had only been observing from afar, to see his face.

"You... you're the boss," he said in a confused voice.

"And you're Cheonhak Yang, right?" Hanju replied with an expression showing he was slightly surprised.

"Why were you with Soha?" Cheonhak Yang asked in a determined tone after regaining control of his disordered thoughts due to the situation before him.

"Why are you interested in my private life? I don't have to answer to you," Hanju said nonchalantly, even though he knew the relationship between Cheonhak Yang and Soha Yang. He couldn't tolerate one of his subordinates questioning him about his private life.

"I originally joined Gangbuk North to protect her, so yes, you will answer me," Cheonhak retorted, looking at Hanju with a resolved gaze.

[Alert, alert...]

[The individual named Cheonhak Yang is emanating "mana" fluctuations.]

"Interesting, he's about to awaken here?" Hanju thought, surprised, before remembering the scene where Cheonhak awoke twice in a single battle, just for his sister.

"I wanted to provoke him a bit when we will be in Asan, but things fell into place themselves," he concluded mentally, satisfied with the current situation.

"So what? Why tell me about your life?" Hanju asked, taking on the role of a villain to see if he could push Cheonhak Yang to evolve here.

"I just want a cute girl, and she's to my taste," Hanju declared to Cheonhak, wearing the most perverted expression he could muster, which was surprisingly hard for him.

"Scum..." Cheonhak couldn't finish his words before receiving a kick to the jaw.

"You're no longer allowed to speak; you've shown insubordination, so you must be punished, right?" Hanju made known, crushing his leg onto Cheonhak's face.

Surprisingly, Cheonhak managed to stop his foot before it crushed his face.

"Oh! So you resist," Hanju said, a bit surprised.

"Scum, don't touch MY SISTER," Cheonhak yelled, but Hanju responded by putting more force into his leg, but he noticed an anomaly.

"AI..." he said mentally.

[Yes, host, your suspicions are correct since Cheonhak Yang has indeed undergone an awakening, but surprisingly, the mana within him continues to fluctuate violently.]

"You said you wanted to protect your sister, didn't you? But you can't even protect yourself," Hanju declared before kicking him in the face.

Cheonhak Yang was on the ground, with an expression that could only be described as a mixture of rage and despair.

"Let's play a game, just the two of us. If you touch me once, I promise to leave your sister alone."

Hanju wasn't afraid that Cheonhak could reach him; there was just too big a difference in their levels.

This proposition aimed to give him hope to motivate him, and as expected, after listening, Cheonhak seemed to have gained more courage and motivation.

"I have to reach him, just once, just once," were the words that kept looping in his head.

Hanju couldn't help but have a genuine smile on his lips as he dodged the attacks and grappling techniques demonstrated by Cheonhak during this confrontation.

[It seems the individual Cheonhak was able to evolve again], the AI told Hanju, but he didn't really pay much attention.

He was fascinated by the indomitable will of this big brother determined to protect his sister from a "scum."

Although Hanju had stopped attacking to see how far Cheonhak could go, the latter had begun to reach his limits, not only physical but also mental.

"If I keep dodging, he's going to break, and not just physically," Hanju thought, catching the grip of his punch aimed at his face before throwing him completely to the ground with an aikido technique.

"That's enough, you pass," Hanju declared before knocking him out with a blow to the stomach.

"I wonder what face Soha will make when I bring her unconscious brother back," he thought mentally while writing a letter to Cheonhak to explain that he had tested him and had no ill intentions towards his sister.

Author's Note: As a big brother, I had a hard time writing Cheonhak Yang's defeat, but frankly, I was nice to him considering the brutal stuff Hanju usually does in this fanfic.
