As the teams returned home, the weight of what had happened had finally hit them. According to the last NWO leader, the Hadron Collider was being used to keep the rift between worlds open, and since turning it off would hurt their chances, they detonated the most powerful nuke ever made, right next to it, breaking any form of reality boundary.
The Cyberpunk and the Post-Apocalyptic worlds had collided, making one giant mess. Ottawa was still in its cyberpunk glory, but the rest of the world had felt the effects of the nukes.
As rebuilding efforts went on, it seemed as if time had been standing still, the citizens of both worlds had been affected by the NWO, and both had plenty of resentment when low-tiered officials of the NWO offered to help implement law and order.
Although cleanup had been well, the Ghost had been sent to guard the rift gate torn open by the now cratered hadron collider. He took a sandwich out of his lunchbox, finally able to relax and enjoy just a moment of solitude all to himself, or so he thought.
Out of the gate stepped a well-dressed man, his attire seemed to be from a modern 1920's look, and he walked with a golden, with red pinstriped cane. A smile was plastered from ear-to-ear, and he stopped just feet from the Ghost.
"Hello Ghost, it's an honor to finally meet you in person, call me Richard Richardson, and you're coming with me."
