A Failed Negotiaton
"You are quite strong for this, I'm not gonna lie," I said, looking at her. She shook her head. "Not now, Connor!" she shouted as we continued to book down the hall.
The officers followed close by, their legs barely touching the ground as they continued their conquest after us. "Come on, come on!" I shouted. Brie hissed back, "Remember, this is supposed to be the other way around!"
"How's this my fault?!" I shouted in return. But she didn't respond, as she quickly sped to the left at an intersection. The officers followed behind, and although Brie was as fast as a lion with a boy on her back, the two officers were clearly going to catch us.
They shouted harshly in French, with their guns firmly in their hands.
But then, as we did, the elevator ahead of us opened with two agents.
