Garry was holding a piece of paper in his hand, as he stood in front of his chief. She was smoking a cigarette as he read to himself the report. "Any comments?"

As she asked this question. He looked at her, his face in utter disbelief. "That's... that's a joke, right?" Asking her, she only shook her head. "Government dogs want to put a leash on us. Pussies fearing of tower-climbing." She snarled quite aggressively. Which was first time that Garry had saw her like that.

She motioned for him to sit as he grabbed a nearby chair. "First of all. A curfew? No one's gonna do it. They'll just stay on F-0 overnight, simple. But second one." Muttering to himself his chief nodded.

On the file, it was stated that any gains of cores in the tower would be given to the government for free. Everything.

The other garnered over skills where they would need to show their full skill list, and right under it their status.

Veins appeared on his hands as anger rose. His chief simply gave a nod to him as the piece of paper simply burnt in his palms. "If they'll try to do it. Then instead of a decrease, there will be a massive increase in crimes. And if they'll try doing things like controlling the flow of trades between private shops to industries..." As he spoke. She only stopped him. "Shh..." "Come in!" She stopped him and shortly followed with calm voice to call out someone.

Into the room walked an older, wrinkled man. "I wonder. What does one of Ministers want?" She asked the man and put her elbows on the desk while supporting her chin with her hands clenched together.

As he walked closer, looking down on her. "Long time no see. Clara." His voice was deep and hoarse. "For you, that's Player Association President. The hell you want?" Her voice was aggressive, clearly showing displeasure at his arrival.

His eyes remained calm as a smirk invited itself on his face. "I hope you enjoy the new laws which are going to appear soon?" His comment made both of them scowl. "I hope you will enjoy the chaos it'll bring. Confiscating cores, skills, keeping an iron grip on everyone. This will bury you alive, but. Do what you want Korsel." She gave him a creepy smile. It would be normal, if her hair wasn't such a deep shade of red. "Now. Fuck off from my office."

Korsel only snorted at her, turning around he walked away by stepping madly on the ground. As he was leaving the room he had grabbed the door and slammed it with full force.

"How's your kid." She asked Garry. Changing the topic instantly. "He's still Level 1. If that is what you are asking about." Garry responded to her as she shook her head. "I meant how he's doing. Not as Player, but as a Human being." Her question intrigued him, but choosing not to ask questions he simply smiled to her. "He lately had a lot on his mind. I can see that, but I can't help him if he doesn't want it. He's just like that." Saying those words to her. She leaned on her chair and raised her eyebrow. "So he's that kind of kid? Make sure that he's okay... The Tower can bring worst out of people." Garry looked at her. He could feel her saying it from experience, there was pain behind those words.

"Thanks. Chief. Oh- Also." He pulled out his phone and showed to her a photo. "There was a shooting at Veni-Rolo." As she looked at the photo. Her eyes squinted. "This is why we have those lessons. Send squad Alpha after group of those fresh 18teens." She ordered him. As the photo revealed to be few teenagers. "And here's a problem. One of them has a skill which allows them to literally teleport. That one will be hard to catch."

Placing his phone down. She had took her own out and dialed someone... they stared at each other as it finally connected. "Capture team Alpha. Take Hunter with you." Garry's eyes widened at mention of Hunter. Since in association Capture Personnel get their nicknames from what they specialise in. " His priority is a Player with teleporting skill. Incident of 15 March, I'll send you data and anything our boys and girls can get on the teenagers." She calmly ordered them and disconnected shortly.

"Isn't it kinda overboard? Hunter?" He asked as she smiled. "It is. But he asked for more job himself. And where else does one find such a skilled person?" She smiled and put her phone down.

"Also. Your wife requested for me to get her a skill card, which was quite bizarre." She took out a cigarette and reached for a lighter on her desk. "Skill Card? I know she climbed to Floor 9, and she was quite known in the day for farming cards..." He muttered to himself as Clara took a puff of her smoke whilst holding the cig between her fingers. "It was D-rank firebolt. She probably gave it to... Arthur was it?" She calmly answered.

"Fire bolt? Isn't that an Int-based card?" At his question. She simply nodded. She stood up and stretched lightly as he averted his gaze away. "Skills change from person to per-*hmpf!*-son." She finished and walked over to the door, picking up a red coat for herself. "For example. Me and you have Lightning Bolt, right?" She calmly asked as Garry nodded. "While colour of our skills varies. Appearing either closer to us, nature or system we own. It's actual power depends on mind and image first." She pointed with her left hand at her temple. "While stats are added to assist the shape... or so I think." She spoke as Garry nodded.

"Anyway. I'm going home... I really need some sleep." She muttered and opened the door as Garry stood up and walked out as she did too.

"Strange... why didn't I meet anyone? I know this is beginning area. But I saw no one, even when I got on top of a tree..." Muttering to himself. Arthur looked down on his ankle which he nearly twisted due to his stupidity. As he sat leaned on the specific tree he did climb, slowly standing up. He moved a little to check for any pain. "Nothing." Patting himself down, he touched the back pocket feeling the card from before.

'Oh right! Mom did give me this.' Pulling it out, it was a silver card with a simple flame which was shaped like a lightning on it.

[ 'Fire Bolt' (D) Skill. ]

[ Would you like to learn it?

-Y/N ]

'Well. Love ya Mom.' Pressing the Yes button. He watched as the silver card dispersed into particles.

[ Skill ?(?) interferes with process of 'Fire Bolt'(D) ]

The giant screen suddenly appeared in front of him. 'No no no no! Don't you fucking dare!' Shouting in his mind, he feared the worst.

Few silent moment passed as the screen only showed a [ Please wait... ]. As he felt something prick him from behind at the neck... As he slowly felt how to utilise the 'Fire Bolt' properly!

[ Fire Bolt (D) has been added to skill list.

-*Skill ?(?) made a modification. ]

'What?' Placing his finger on the notification. It showed the Fire Bolt skill... but with additional text below it.

[ - Skill was changed from Int to Sen based. ]

He only stared at it and pulled up his stat window.

[ Status:

Str: 4 , Agi: 3 , Con: 4

Int: 6 , Wis: 8 , Sen: ?]

{ ?: 0/1 }

[ Acid Tolerance(E) 0.01 ]

As he stared at the two screen both bewildered and surprised... soon confusion set in. "How in the name Lu does it work? Int and Wis for magical spell? Okay... but Sen?" He ruffled back of his hair. Shortly taking his hand away from it and reaching for the sword... he noticed it red...

'Did I cut my head or hand? But... there's no pain?' Thinking to himself. He reached with his other hand and after it touched his hair he took it back and noticed it red too. "Wait... this shade..." He started walking to a nearby source of water, which was a small lake filled with slimes left and right. Looking into the water, he noticed that the dye he had on his head was literally flowing down like water!

"That was... a permanent dye..." Muttering to himself he took in a breath and suddenly put his whole head in the water.

Staying like that for few moments, he took it out as it was completely drenched. But all red dye he had disappeared as if it was never there, his hair came back to his natural chestnut-like colour.

"This makes no sense." Muttering to himself. He washed off the whole dye as his eyes widened. 'Wait. Fire Bolt changed from Int to Sen based skill... What does it change? Form? Damage?' Fixing his hair to the back. He turned around to the small forest where he didn't spot a single slime before. Extending his hands in its direction. Slowly remembering the sensation he felt when he learned <Fire Bolt>. A flame ventured around his arm and appeared in his palm.

'Slow. It's a charge skill?' Keeping the hand pointed in the direction... he waited. And waited. And waited... "Do I really have to say it?" Complaining to himself. He took a breath and last peek on his Sense Stat.

"<Fire Bolt>" Muttering the words. He felt the flame moving differently in his palm.

But to his disappointment, it didn't do a thing. "Bullshit." Staring at the flame he muttered. 'Maybe throw it?' He lightly moved it and then made a throwing motion as it finally detached from him!

As it left his hand. The flame flew few meters as it suddenly sprang in massive speed. Hitting into the tree in distance he saw how it lit completely aflame.

Staring at it for next minute. He saw how the tall tree had burnt completely... "This is overpowered." He muttered looking at what his modified skill just did. And as he did, he slowly turned his look at his skill list.

[ Skills: ?(?), Fire Bolt (D*) ]

'If you made such a simple thing like Fire Bolt overpowered... what about you?' Thinking to himself. He started slowly walking around. 'I wonder if I'll find a boss in this era...' Sighing to himself. He kept walking and seeking around for his objective.
