Administrative summons II

"Me??.. The administrator??... Why does the administrator want to speak with me??... Did something happen??"

Sai asks with worry.

"If it has to do with the fact if we are still capable of participating in the competition due to the attack a few days ago and the current state of our team, he shouldn't be worried, we can still participate, I can assure you that."

Ilara adds as she was also worried after what Yakob had said.

"No, you guys shouldn't be worried at all. It has nothing to do with any of the things you just said, the administrator just wants to have a chat with you, don't be worried."

Mae replies putting the duo at ease as their minds came to a rest.

"Anyways it would be good if you come with me now, Markov hates being kept waiting, even if it is an impromptu meeting."

Yakob remarks with underlying annoyance in his voice which he tried not to make known to the others.

"But what about Dan, I'm not a huge fan of the guy but he did put his life on the line to protect us. I can't just leave him here without at least knowing if he will be fine or not."

Sai replies as he was still a bit skeptical about the invitation, Ilara places her hand on Sai's shoulder gaining his attention before finally speaking.

"You should go, it might be really important. I'll stay here and watch over Dan, everything will be fine. I'll inform you once the examination by the doctor is done. You don't have to worry."

"And if it makes you feel any better, I'll be staying as well as I have no more assignments to attend to today so you can be rest assured that your woman won't be alone with your rival."

Mae chimes in with a chuckle which helped lighten the dull mood.

"What??.. Rival??.. I don't see Dan as a rival, what would make you say that and who told you that I'm uncomfortable with Ilara staying alone with another guy, don't make me look so bad as a boyfriend."

Sai retorts with Mae and Ilara completely amused by his flustered look.

"We should go, the longer we stay here, the longer you leave yourself as an easy target for Mae to tease and play with."

Yakob remarks with a smile with Sai mumbling something inaudible before following Yakob with both men walking towards the medical bay exit. Mae and Ilara watch the guys leave before turning their attention to each other.

"We should get going to the doctors office."

Ilara remarks with Mae responding with a nod of her head after which both girls move hastily.

"You didn't teach me about ki."

Sai remarks as he and Yakob leave the medic bay and walk towards a vehicle on stand by.

"That's because you aren't ready. Ki can be very dangerous if not channeled properly."

Yakob replies as they get to the vehicle and open it to get in.

"What are you talking about??"

Sai asks a bit puzzled.

"Ki is a powerful force that can have dangerous consequences on your body if you channel it wrongly or rush into it hastily, which is why I did not teach you and instead taught you acupuncture which is a good way to enhance your abilities even though that also has its disadvantages."

Yakob replies as he starts the car and begins to drive towards the administrative office even though it was actually pretty close by.

"OK before I continue asking about Ki, why are we driving to the administrative office when it's just close by??"

Sai asks with a raised brow.

"well I and Mae had used this to transport ourselves cause we were to lazy to actually move all the way to the fight site so now I have to return it before it is registered as missing."

Yakob replies with a smirk with Sai still looking at him.

"OK… anyways what makes Ki so dangerous, I mean I saw you use it and it didn't really have any damaging effects on you."

Sai comments as they got close to the parking lot of the admin office.

"That's cause the damage is not something that's obvious, I got a twisted ankle and nearly broke my leg while fighting Crow and yet i have more than twenty years experience with Ki, that just tells you how dangerous it is if you were to rush into it without proper training."

Yakob responds as they pull into the parking lot.

"OK so what makes it dangerous??"

Sai asks.

"Well for one you could end up breaking your bones if channeled wrongly and even if you are able to channel it properly keeping it at just the right amount is key else you be immobilized due to heaviness of your body, also these are just beginner problems."

Yakob says as he gets out of the vehicle with Sai following suit.

"I still want you to teach me though. I mean learning how to channel and use Ki is a requirement to become a B ranked Weaponmaster, right??"

Sai asks passively.

"That is true but until you are ready I cannot teach you Ki or even entertain a conversation on how it works, anyways that's enough now we should head over to Markov's office, he should be waiting for you."

Yakob says with Sai mumbling a few words then following after him.
