Nubia

When he opened his eyes, he found himself inside a large room, lying on a warm bed, completely naked. This made him feel uneasy. "What is happening?"

Suddenly, he felt something move beside him. He looked to his side and found himself face to face with a mass of black hair. The person next to him spoke, "Honey, close the window, I'm still tired from last night."

Peter was in shock. "Huh?"

He slowly lifted his hands from the sheets, feeling incredibly anxious as he had no idea how he ended up in this situation. As he cautiously uncovered the sheets, he revealed the chocolate-toned body and sculpted face of one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen.

He was hypnotized by the sight of the large, naked breasts rising and falling with the woman's breath. She opened her eyes, revealing coal-black irises.

Peter panicked when he saw those eyes staring at him with nothing but confusion.

He jumped so violently that he hit the ceiling of the room and landed on the floor, quickly gathering himself and stepping back. He stared at the woman, "Who are you, and why are you naked?"

The woman looked at him with even more confusion. "What? Peter are you okay"

Peter stepped back again until he felt the cool breeze of air hit his body. He looked down and realized he too was as naked as the day he was born. This only increased his anxiety, and he hurriedly covered his private parts with his hands, glancing back at the woman, who was now furrowing her eyebrows in complete bewilderment.

He never expected to find himself in this situation. He had always imagined waking up on some rooftop, in an alley somewhere in the world, or even in the desert or the sea, but to find himself in bed with an attractive woman was something he had never imagined.

What was even stranger was that she knew his name, which should have been impossible since he wasn't from this reality.

Suddenly, a flood of memories hit him like a brick wall, forcing him to clutch his head, momentarily forgetting to cover himself.

Suddenly, everything began to make sense. He thought to himself, "Oh my God, reality has been rewritten from the beginning, as if I was born in this world... and even my powers... Wait a minute, I am loved here!"

The woman tilted her head and raised an eyebrow as she observed him. She had watched him transition from confusion to shock, to panic and fear, and now, surprise was etched on his face as he stared off into space.

The naked woman got out of bed and stood in front of Peter, who was still lost in thought. She looked him up and down, admiring his physique, perhaps because she hadn't had the time to fully appreciate it the night before when they were both in the heat of passion.

Her well-trained eyes noticed that his muscles seemed even more defined, giving him the appearance of being sculpted from marble, and even his height had increased, both his own and that of his "friend." This only puzzled her more. 'Does sex make him stronger, or what?'

She reached out her hand slowly to touch his body, although she had already enjoyed the feel of it the night before, but now he seemed even more perfect in her eyes than he did then.

As soon as her hand touched his bare chest, Peter snapped out of his trance, finding himself staring at the breathtaking beauty in front of him, only to be struck by the events of the previous night like a thunderbolt.

**Flashback**

Peter Parker, known as Spider-Man, was afraid.

He would have preferred to be anywhere but where he was now, at least in this situation.

He would rather be fighting Darkseid and hordes of his mindless soldiers than be here right now.

What could scare the most famous wall-crawler? Simple: it was his turn to be in the Justice League's Watchtower, responsible for informing the other heroes of any situation that required their intervention.

At first glance, it didn't seem like a difficult task. In fact, the mission seemed so easy that even Beast Boy, a member of the Teen Titans, had done it.

No, the problem wasn't the task; it was his partner in the Watchtower. She was one of the strongest members of the League, a woman who rivaled Diana, also known as Wonder Woman, in strength. She even came from the same island as Diana. She was known as Zahava, her civilian name, though her superhero name was Nubia.

Nubia is one of the strongest Amazons, on par with Diana in terms of power. Even among the other Amazons, who consider themselves sisters, Diana and Zahava place each other at the top of their list.

Peter knew very well that the woman sitting next to him, monitoring the giant computer he had built himself, harbored a deep hatred for men. Even after spending many years away from Themyscira, she still maintained the same disdain for men, though she did respect a select few, who could be counted on her fingers.

To be honest, Spider-Man never expected to be one of them. Unlike his usual self, he didn't crack any jokes; he feared she might cut him down with that wonderful sword she owned.

Peter also sat silently monitoring the computer in the Watchtower. Occasionally, he would inform other members of the League if they needed to intervene. That was the only time he spoke, and each time he did, he spoke as if he were waiting for a sword to strike his neck.

He wished he had a different colleague in the Watchtower, maybe even Diana. They got along well, to the point that they considered each other close friends. The good news was that their shift was almost over, and other League members would soon take over.

Suddenly, the woman beside him placed her hand on his shoulder, making him tense up. However, he was prepared to dodge any strike, though his Spider-Sense hadn't alerted him to any danger.

"Excuse me, Spider-Man, I've noticed you're not acting like yourself. Are you nervous around me?" Nubia asked in a soft voice.

Peter slowly turned his head towards her and responded hesitantly, "Why do you say that?"

The woman shrugged slightly. "Maybe because I can smell your sweat."

Peter quickly raised his arm and sniffed his armpit. "Oh God, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to bother you! Please don't cut off my head!"

Suddenly, Nubia started laughing. "And why would I do that? If it's because of the smell, that doesn't bother me. I'm a warrior; I've spent a lot of time training with other warriors. Do you think the smell of sweat bothers me?"

Peter swallowed hard. "I... I don't know, maybe..."

The woman's laughter continued, which Peter found both impressive and comforting. "Don't worry, Spider-Man. You're one of the men I respect. I would never attack you... unless you give me a reason to."

Peter looked at her in surprise, the lenses on his mask widening. "You do?"

Nubia nodded. "Yes, well, my sister says some good things about you, and that earns you a few points in my book."

Peter silently thanked Diana, feeling relieved to know that Nubia didn't hold the same resentment towards him as she did other men—unlike poor Flash, who had narrowly escaped being killed by her multiple times.

Nubia smiled at him, which made Peter feel more at ease. But suddenly, her smile changed, making him feel a bit threatened. "Tell me, Spider-Man, I've always wanted to ask you something, but I never had the chance—or the courage."

Peter blinked twice in confusion, his mask lenses doing the same, which Nubia found both intimidating and amazing at the same time. "Ask me what?"

Nubia hesitated for a moment before deciding to speak. This was her opportunity, since they were alone in the Watchtower. "You have spider powers... do you know anyone named Anansi?"

Peter's lenses widened again, and Nubia noticed, already understanding that he did indeed know the name. "You do know him, don't you?"

"Oh, Anansi, the weaver who created the Web of Life? I kind of channel him. We're... one and the same. He's me, or I'm him—I still don't fully understand it," Peter said, as if it were the most normal thing in the world, causing Nubia to stare at him in surprise.

Suddenly, he jumped up, finding a lasso tied around his leg. He quickly removed it, stepping back to look at Nubia in anger. "Why...?"

Peter couldn't finish his sentence before Nubia threw herself onto him, hugging him tightly as she cried, "I found you! I found you! I can't believe you were right in front of me all these years!"

Peter had no idea what was happening and didn't dare to hug her back. "I... I don't understand anything."

Nubia looked up at him, tears in her eyes. "I've waited for you for thousands of years! I've waited for this reunion. I can't believe you were born again, and you've been right here all along."

Peter's mind ground to a halt. He couldn't process what was happening—the deadly warrior from the Justice League, feared by men, was now crying and hugging him tightly. "I don't understand any of this."

Nubia laughed softly into his neck. "Silly, you're still so funny."

Peter thought to himself, 'What? I didn't even make a joke,' but he kept the thought to himself.

He gently pushed her away a bit. "Okay, okay, please, can you explain?"

Nubia looked at him, then grabbed Diana's lasso. "Not here. You and I—back to my place. Now."

Peter didn't even have a chance to react before she wrapped the lasso around his body, preventing him from moving, and flew out of the Watchtower with him toward the nearest Zeta Tube.

All that could be heard was Peter's scream: "I hate you, Lucky Parker!"

Flash and Black Canary entered the Watchtower, only to find it empty.

"Strange. Weren't we supposed to take over from Spider-Man and Nubia?" Black Canary, also known as Dinah Lance, asked.

Flash looked at her with surprise and a chill ran down his spine when he realized who had been there before them. "Wait, really? Spider-Man and Nubia were on duty before us?"

Dinah nodded. "Yeah."

Flash glanced at her, then at the empty seats. "Do you think she killed him and went to hide the body?"

Dinah rolled her eyes and walked toward one of the seats, sitting down, while Flash sped to the other chair. "I'm just saying, if he's gone missing, we know who the prime suspect is."

"Just shut up, Barry."
