Spider-Verse: Creeping Hunger

In a wild twist of fate, I, a random person from another universe, find myself transmigrated into the body of Peter Parker from Gwen Stacy's universe, Earth 65B. But there's a catch - this version of Peter Parker was destined to die, paving the way for Gwen Stacy, the Ghost Spider to fall in love with Miles Morales. Well, let me tell you, I'm not going down without a fight! First things first, death is not on my to-do list. Nope, not happening. Secondly, did I mention I refuse to die? Yeah, it's a firm no from me. Thirdly, you guessed it, I absolutely refuse to meet my untimely demise. P.S: Just to make things interesting, I am gonna put some dirt in everyone's eyes!! ~ I will be posting on RR as well.

Mary Jane

As the sun rose on a fresh Friday morning, the skies above New York City painted a picturesque scene. A vibrant shade of blue stretched as far as the eye could see, adorned with fluffy white clouds tinged with hints of silver. The towering buildings stood tall, casting long shadows that danced upon the bustling streets below.

Peter settled into his seat on the school bus, his gaze fixed on the world outside the window. With a serene expression, he simply observed the ever-changing scenery passing by, allowing himself to be absorbed in the mesmerizing sights unfolding beyond the glass.

Things seemed to be falling into place seamlessly. The construction of the underground base was progressing steadily. Today's routine was fairly simple- Wake up, eat breakfast with Aunt May and Uncle Ben, flirt with Gwen then head to school while Gwen swings around as Spider-Woman.

'How many days has it even been since I transmigrated?'

As Peter reflected on the passage of time, he marveled at the rapid progress he had made since his transmigration, which felt like a mere blink of an eye. Though it had been only five days, the journey felt like a whirlwind of experiences and personal growth.

With a subtle grin forming on his face, he examined his fingers and palm, appreciating the newfound strength that had manifested within him.

This one was one of the only plus sides of being transmigrated while at the peak of life- Superpowers.

Peter opened his notepad as he looked at the names he had come up with for his secret organization.

'In the end... I've decided I'll go with all of them. To maintain the utmost secrecy and mystery, my organization will be nameless yet known by many aliases. This way, even if someone discovers one alias, it's just a layer within a labyrinth of identities. I must say, I'm quite the genius!'

Peter's lips curled into a knowing smile as he closed his notebook, his thoughts still swirling with his ingenious plans. Just as he turned his attention back to the world outside the window, a female voice called out to him, capturing his attention.

"Hey. Can I sit over here? Everywhere else is full."

Peter turned around, his curiosity piqued, to lay eyes upon the woman who had called out to him. Her vibrant red frizzy hair commanded attention, and she exuded an air of effortless style. Clad in a grey crop top and pink trousers, she carried a guitar case slung across her back.

A name instantaneously flashed through his mind like a bolt of lightning—Mary Jane Watson. The leader of the school band, someone Peter had heard about through Gwen's stories and knew her parallel version through the movies.

Peter responded with a friendly tone, "Sure, I don't mind."

Mary nodded in acknowledgment and took a seat with a small, playful whistle. "Well then, don't mind if I join you,"

As Peter continued to mind his own business, Mary Jane's words rang in his ears.

"I know who you are,"

Peter leaned against the window, his palm resting gently against his cheek.

"Really? Well, I like to think I have a pretty good idea of who I am too."

Mary Jane's eyes twitched, and her tone turned condescending as she continued, seeking to provoke a reaction from Peter.

"Yeah, you're that little nerd who hangs out with Gwen... the same nerd who managed to make her quit the band right before the prom performance this evening. Where the fuck am I supposed to bring a new drummer from now?"

Peter's expression shifted from curiosity to shock as he stared at Mary Jane. Her words hit him like a punch to the gut, leaving him momentarily speechless.

'So this is why she chose to sit over here...'

He looked around for a moment, conforming her true purpose because there were still empty seats.

Peter couldn't help but compare her to other versions of Mary Jane he had encountered, recognizing a distinct difference in her demeanor.

This particular version seemed to embody a sharper edge, exuding an unapologetic air of hostility that set her apart.

While Mary Jane's accusation had some truth to it, Peter couldn't help but feel a sense of detachment from the school drama that had unfolded. His mind was preoccupied with bigger responsibilities and the weight of his secret endeavors.

School drama seemed trivial compared to the challenges he believed he would face ahead and the ones he already had.

Peter could only manage to respond to Mary Jane's accusation with a single word.

"Cope."

Mary Jane's expression contorted with bitterness and frustration, her teeth gritted in apparent annoyance. She opened her mouth to speak, but then abruptly closed it, seemingly unable to find the words to convey her thoughts.

Her emotions spilled over, her words laced with anger and resentment.

"You're a bastard. I can't believe Gwen chose you over the band."

Peter's eyebrows arched in response to Mary Jane's heated words, but rather than showing anger or defensiveness, a playful smile curved his lips.

"Jealous, are we?" he quipped, his voice filled with a teasing tone. "Let's face it, your chances with her were slim to none, even if you managed to make Gwen delusional. She's more into sticks, you know,"

Mary Jane's surprise was palpable as her eyes widened in shock. She stared at Peter, seemingly perplexed by his unexpected revelation.

"How did you know?"

Peter's smile turned menacing as he responded to Mary Jane's inquiry.

"It's easy, really. As Gwen's soon-to-be boyfriend, I pay close attention to those in her life... and as for the sticks, well, let's just say we've conducted some personal experiments in that department,"

Peter stood up, realizing that the bus had reached their destination. He gently patted Mary Jane's lesbian shoulders in a gesture of comfort before making his way towards the exit.
