All Olivia could hear was the sound of the crowd around her, people mumbling and panicking. The sound of the siren from a distance, getting closer and closer.
Olivia could feel her senses gradually slipping away "Am I really going to die?" Olivia thought to herself while she lay on the floor flooded with her blood.
"I just wanted to get some milk from the convenience store, how the hell did I end up in this state." She felt as the paramedics lifted her onto the stretcher and into the ambulance.
"She's losing a lot of blood." One of the paramedics said. Olivia's thoughts became clouded "Ahh… I should have at least bought that cute dress… dammit I didn't even get to have a boyfriend… why didn't I enjoy my life to the fullest… my savings! shit! Shit!! Shit!!!"
Olivia dies.
"Huh? What's going on? I'm not dead, I thought I was a goner." Olivia thought as she opened her eyes. They felt heavy as though she had been out for days, her head throbbing in pain. She sits up gently as her vision becomes clearer. Olivia looked around the unfamiliar environment.
"Where am I?" Olivia said out loud, confused as she looked around. She found herself in a big fancy bedroom. Olivia pulls away the blanket over her and steps down the king sized bed, still confused.
As she walked towards the door, she paused as she passed a mirror. "What was that?" Olivia's heart skipped a beat as she sighted a strange silhouette in the corner of her eyes. She slowly takes a step back, standing directly in front of the mirror.
She turns her head sideways to look at the mirror. She lets out a loud scream. An old lady rushed inside the room.
"Young master! You're awake!!" The old lady exclaimed in joy and excitement. Olivia stood there still paralyzed.
She raises up her hand and waves it in the air. Her heart dinked as the image in the mirror followed her movements.
"Young master, is everything alright? You shouldn't be up now." The old lady's words were like fading noise to Olivia.
"What's going on? What's wrong with my face?" Olivia was covered in cold sweat, her legs were trembling and her heart pounding. She slowly backs away from the mirror, she stumbles on the side of the bed.
Her hand slips over the sharp side of the bed and a deep cut appears on her palm. "Ow!" She exclaimed.
"Young master, you must be careful. Come quickly and rest on the bed." The old lady approached her, gently lifting her up onto the bed.
"What am I? Where am I? Who the hell are you?" Olivia breaks down as the cut on her hand slowly disappears and heals as if it was never there.
Confused, disoriented, Olivia faints.
"What's wrong with the young master?" The old lady worried as she placed him on the bed.
Later that day, Olivia woke up, She jolted up. "Now, you shouldn't move so recklessly." The old lady gently placed her hand on Olivia's shoulder to calm her down.
"Take a deep breath." Olivia follows the old lady's instructions. She took a deep breath and looked at the old lady
"Miss… where am I? And who am I ? Who are you? Why did my injury disappear all of a sudden?" Olivia blurted out so many questions. The old lady smiled gently at her.
"You poor thing. I see you've lost your memories." She said, She gently placed Olivia's hands in hers.
"My name is Zelda. Young master, the chief maid of the house of Dracula. You are Vlad, the son and heir to the house of Dracula." Zelda explained to Olivia who was currently in Vlads body.
"Wait by Dracula do you mean-" "Yes, I mean Vampires." Zelda said.
"Wait, this doesn't make any sense. There is no such thing as vampires." Vlad said. "Tell that to your healed hands." Zelda laughed. "This reminds me of the first time you came home crying that you fell and injured yourself but the wound healed up immediately. You were such a baby." Zelda reminisced.
"I'm sorry to ruin your touching moment but I'm not Vlad. My name is Olivia and I'm a human. I got into an accident and woke up here. Is this some sort of prank, it definitely is. Everyone can come out now." He said in a small panicky voice.
Zelda places her hand over his "Young master, why don't you get some rest tonight. Your memories will definitely come back soon." Zelda assures. Vlad slowly calms down.
"Now, you have a big day tomorrow. The grandmaster, your father will be here tomorrow to see you. This will help you sleep well and feel refreshed before tomorrow." Zelda said, bringing out a magical candle. She snaps her finger, lighting up the candle.
"How did you do that!" Vlad exclaimed, voice mixed with fear and excitement. "Magic." Zelda smiles.
The fume of the candle quickly fills the room. Vlad's eyes became sleepy. "But I have to go back…" He said falling into a deep slumber. "You poor thing." Zelda mumbled as she placed him properly on the bed and covered him with a blanket.
The next morning, Zelda came into the room and tried waking Vlad up. "Young master, wake up now. We have to get you ready to meet the grandmaster." Zelda said. Vlad rolls on the bed "five more minutes." Vlad grumbled.
Zelda sighs. She claps her hand, Vlad starts floating up. "Huh…" Vlad opened his eyes a little to see what was happening, only to meet himself afloat.
"What do you think you're doing?!" He cried. "Getting you ready." Zelda replied, walking towards the bathroom with Vlad afloat behind her.
"I can get ready myself! Please let me down!" He begged. Zelda stopped. "Please." Vlad said one more time with a fake smile. Zelda drops him down gently. "Thank you." He said.
"Please go get ready now or if you want me to, I can help you-"
"No! No… I can do it myself thank you." Vlad cuts Zelda off.
Zelda chuckles. "Here." She said as a robe appeared in front of Vlad, startling him. "I don't think I can ever get used to this." He mumbled, and walked into the bathroom.
Zelda was waiting patiently when she heard a loud scream. "I'm a boy?!!" Vlad exclaimed in terror.
Vlad came out of the bathroom looking like all his soul had been sucked out. "You don't look too good, Young master." She said when she saw him come out of the bathroom.
"I've experienced so many crazy things in these past few hours and you expect me to be okay. Thankfully I've read too many comics and manga to be completely broken. I mean I'm doing pretty well for someone who just found out they're a vampire and live in a magical world, I mean it's not like they're demons or monsters of some sort, right?" Vlad rambled on and asked, but seeing the look on Zelda's face.
"There are monsters?!" He exclaimed. "Just a few. There are mermaids, fairies, demons and different creatures." Zelda explains. Vlad was speechless.
"Now let's get you dressed." Zelda opens his wardrobe. "What is this supposed to be?" Vlad asked, seeing the colorless and tasteless clothes in the wardrobe. They look like clothes from the 80's and worse, they were all in black or some monochromatic display.
"Your wardrobe Young master." Zelda answered
"I don't care if I'm in someone else's body, there's no way I'm wearing that." Vlad whined. "But you don't have anything else Young master." "You can do magic right. Can you help me change these outfits to something a little more colorful and stylish?" He asked.
"Yes but-" "Good." Vlad said.
"Okay, all you need to do is think of the clothes you want to wear and they'll appear on you." Zelda said. Vlad closed his eyes and when he opened them he was in a completely different outfit.
"No way, it really worked." Vlad rushed in front of the mirror. "Now this is what I'm talking about. A classy shirt with firm pants and killer shoes." He acknowledged happily.
A bell rang from outside the room. "The grandmaster is here, let us make haste." Zelda said to Vlad. "Give me a second to put my hair in place." Vlad said brushing his hair.
"This dude is way too pretty for a guy. Even I wasn't this pretty. Long silky pink hair, he's definitely popular with everyone. Wait, why does a vampire even have pink hair in the first place? What a weirdo." Vlad thought to himself.
"Let's go." Zelda said as she led the way.
