"Don't run you, bastard..." A loud shout echoed in the wilderness. A group of men wearing white was shot like arrows into the woods.
Up ahead, a black silhouette dodged in and out from the attacks of the group. Gasps of surprise and annoyance were painted on the white men's group.
Holding a long sword in his hands the youth in the black clothes swung the sword. With each swing, a limb or a head fell. The attack was very destructive.
It was as if karma came to bite them back. They were assigned to kill this youth but to see that the hunted have become the hunter, the youth cannot be underestimated.
Still...
He was a lone man without any ground to stand on. The battle have already lasted for three days and three nights and now there were traces of tiredness on the youth's face.
Suddenly, three red shadows, one female and two males joined the battle and surrounded the black shadow.
"Yuven, surrender. You can't beat any of us." The female shouted at the youth in black.
"Surrender my ass. Do you take me to a dog?... Never!" Yuven bellowed and increased his momentum.
His strength increased drastically along with his speed. The three who fought with him clearly felt the change in pressure. Not being able to endure anymore they slowly started to step back.
Yuven's sword found its way to the female person in the group. Seeing his comrade being attacked one of the males extended his sword to block the attack leaving an opening for him. Suddenly, the sword in Yuven's hands changed its trajectory and punctured the neck of the youth.
It was too sudden that none of them noticed the sudden attack until the youth in red fell with a red liquid wetting him.
"Senior brother!"
"Bastard! I will kill you!"
Seeing one of them being killed both the youths shouted. The woman in the red was very mad not because her comrade was killed but because if the sword wasn't blocked by the killed person she should be the one to die.
"Dare to hurt me. You should be tired of living..." the girl shouted at the top of her lungs.
"No! I am not." The battle continued and Yuven also dashed in and out of those attacks skillfully. His sudden surprise caught everyone off guard and none of them were able to defend against him.
Sometimes they would see an opening on his defense but before they could realize it was a trap they would either lose a limb or even their head.
His sword skill was unmatched and none of them could find an opening even if they surround him. Unable to put him down the group sacrificed a large number of heads for fighting the youth as if it was a crusade.
But Yuven didn't hesitate to take their lives. He wanted to live no matter what. No matter what he should live for her... He wouldn't abandon her. Never...
With this thought, Yuven skillfully waged guerilla warfare in the battle. How could he match an army of men single-handedly? Knowing this he dashed like an arrow to the other side of the woods.
Anyone knew if he was able to dash out of the woods, no one... not even a person twice stronger as Yuven can kill him. But seeing Yuven dashing in that direction the crowd didn't give up but chased closely.
Even though he was slightly surprised by this, Yuven still maintained a clear head and ran in the direction of hope.
After a few more minutes Yuven raised his head and saw the shadow of a man standing on a rock. No one behind him saw the shadow but Yuven saw him clearly and ran toward him with a smile.
"Let me see now who called be a bastard..." Yuven mumbled gleefully.
Running towards the man Yuven felt something was off. Shouldn't the men following must run away or at least stop in their tracks? Why the hell were they still chasing him? Even after witnessing this, he couldn't find where the fault lay.
He also couldn't understand why his uncle not attacking these bastards. The person in black was his uncle and he was 100% sure of that. Does he want the whole army behind me to perish?
In a few minutes, he saw another shadow behind his uncle. It was a woman.
Seeing the woman Yuven's eyes brightened and his pace quickened and he just looked like a blur.
A gentle and beautiful lady with fair skin and noble bearing. Her long hair made anyone worship her as if she was a goddess. But her facial expression told Yuven something was wrong. Her face was in stiff manner and her lips were trembling. It was as if she was tensed.
Seeing her husband nearing her she didn't care about anything around her but opened her mouth and shouted as hard as she can.
"Don't come over. Run..."
Before she could finish her words three shadows flew past her toward Yuven. A sword appeared in her hand and she pushed the sword into the flesh of the last shadow passing her.
The man was got attacked and turned back, bearing the pain he swung his sword to her neck as a sub-conscious response and the next moment there were two corpses lying on the ground.
Seeing this Yuven's heart leaped. He halted in his tracks. Confused he tried to interpret the meaning of her words but before he could do it two shadows attacked him.
The world was filled with countless battles and battles were held by different weapons. Still, the swords always had a specific luster in the war. Either between the tribes or against the demons. Since swords are powerful and had a specific significance in battles tribes were formed and practiced different types of swordsmanship.
The _Blood and Water_ tribe was the strongest tribe in the world but when it comes to powerful swordsmanship the _Nora Sword_ tribe was the best in everyone's knowledge. Especially after the _Continental Swordgod competition_ that takes place once in ten years.
This year the _Blood and Water_ tribe produced three prodigies and none of the swordsmen from any tribe could condemn them including the _Nora Sword_ tribe.
But...
There was an exception. There was a genius among genius in the _Nora Sword_ tribe. He defeated all three prodigies single-handedly to make them kneel in shame in front of the whole continent. The black-haired gentle but unpredictable man was named Yuven.
After the competition, the whole continent talked about Yuven and his genius making any tribe grit in shame. But the _Blood and Water_ tribe took it to another level.
They decided to close his file and end his story so that none of the tribes dare to shame them. So they chased him endlessly.
What happened? Is he dreaming? He was attacked by her own people. Never did Yuven thought he would end up like this.
But...
They underestimated him. They really have underestimated him. Seeing his beloved fall under their blade the gentleman in him transformed into a beast... no to be specific, it was a demon raised from hell.
Sword energy circulated the whole area suffocating everyone and thousands of sword shadows surrounded the area. Seeing this marvelous scene everyone was stopped in their tracks and stared agape.
Without even any question the sword shadows fell to the ground and killed many of them. Many were injured and many lost any of parts of their body.
"Uncle! Why?" Yuven asked his uncle who was still standing on the rock uninjured.
"You are too gifted..." he replied without beating around the bush.
"Too talented?" he mumbled and dragged his body towards Lina, his beloved. Actually, to tell the truth, the previous attack wasn't his forte. He wasn't powerful enough to pull out such a massive attack. He could pull such an attack thanks to a mysterious technique that would let him turn his life force into an attack.
Seeing that his own blood and flesh were trying to get rid of him Yuven understood he couldn't get away anymore. After seeing Lina, who he loved and for whom he tried his best to survive laying lifelessly, he couldn't hesitate anymore.
Burning his whole life force he pulled a powerful move and finally fell into the embrace of his loved one.
That moment he wished to be born a talentless person. He wished to be born an ungifted but he knew that wasn't true. He wasn't born with talent or gifts. He achieved it with his hard work and effort. But seeing everything shattered in an instant...
He couldn't bear it anymore. "Uncle please bury me with Lina." He fell into the ground near her before even completing his sentance.
"Are you satisfied?" Yuven's uncle shouted in a loud voice and another shadow appeard near him.
"You dare to kill my daughter?" the old man shouted at him.
"Tribe chief. I didn't and I couldn't save her." Said Yuven's uncle.
"What?..."
"Will you belive me if I say she would die with him with no regrets." Yuven's uncle said to the old man.
"Thre will be a price for everything. For the safety of the tribe my daughter was sacrificed. I can say no more." said the old man turning back and disappear.
...
As if he was hit by a thunder, Ning Rongbing jolted from his bed dripping in cold sweat.
