Strange world/ part 2

"God..." Yennefer curse over the those that did this when she recovered. "Humans... massacred in that way... Utterly barbaric!"

The raven-haired sorceress felt sick to her stomach, ' Even though she had witnessed things like this a lot time in the span of ninety years. Yennefer felt sympathy for the villagers, that died in such a gruesom manner. But she needs to do something about these dead villagers. Yennefer knew that she couldn't just leave these dead bodies in such state.

If these bodies stayed in that way, they might become some kind of undead swamp creatures, and later they haunt this place for who knows how long? And that will also cause a huge amount of harm to those that will pass by this village. Usually these are the jobs of an Witcher. " I wish ciri and Geralt was here,"

Well, maybe I'll see them soon when my teleportation magic starts to work again.

Then looked at corpses of the dead common folks, there is no reason for her take care for these dead bodies. But she wants to stay in this village for a time, and she also likes to rest for a while.

She has a jobs to do, Thus she collected all the 60 or so bodies of men woman and children after that she channelled all her sorrows and anger burned down all the bodies. Using the chaos to her bidding is very costly affair, but it's seems with this act she found some form of comfort. Sometimes magic can very convenient for the people that have less Woman power, or is it pronounced man power ?

She mused herself.

Thus no Trace left for this village to become a harmful one. It's her way for thanking the villagers, for it is their house that she will be staying.

Though the black hair sorceress still thinks their might be a survivor or two. Her elder blood sense is telling that there is. And so she started searching for anyone else might have survived.

She entered yet another burned down house and sighed. Had all the common folks here been murdered? Had this happened elsewhere? How many more human settlements were there? So busy her mind was that she almost didn't hear a slight scuffing sound enter her hearing range. Immediately she pulled up her hand to cast a lightning spell and got into a combat stance.

" Who are you show yourself!!" She shouted, using her magic to boost her voice. "I won't ask you again ,,, So Identify yourself, Now!"

Silence reigned for the next few moments, and then the sound occurred again. "This is your final warning, come out or the outcome will be. . .... !"

Quiet cries and hushed words could be faintly heard. Did it sound like.. wait.. from below? Yennefer looked at the floor under her feet and took a look around the destroyed house. There, half-hidden by a chest of drawers, was a cellar's trapdoor. Slowly she made her way over to it, reaching down to grab the metal loop fastened to the wood panel, and then pulled. She light up a tip of her finger with fire magic to make a candle light, she brought her Hand to bear down into the darkness and... Immediately put down and turned off her lights.

Children. She almost fired a lightning spell upon children. There had to be at least a dozen or so, the oldest looking no more than twelve.

After seeing the childrens she couldn't contain her joy, turning to the huddled group of youths hidden in the basement, Yennefer started to speak with them if they even understand her language or not. "My name is Yennefer. I'm here to help you. You're safe now," she told them. The kids seemed to grow fearful and shrunk back however, some of the younger ones crying.

"My hoodie," Yennefer realized, quickly putting away her hoodie, revealed her very human features to the group of children. This seemed to calm them down. And seeing a woman also might have helped children to calmed down faster.

"My name is Yennefer," the black hair sorceress repeated, making sure to smile. "Please come up, I'm here to help you. I swear no harm will come to you."

To her surprise, the oldest of the children, a girl was dark brown hair on the cusp of womanhood, spoke to her, in near-perfect if slightly accented common tongue, asking, "Are you from House Stark My Lady?"

Filing that tidbit of information away for later, Yennefer shook her head. "No, I'm not from any house Stark, but I will help you. I promise."

The girl stared at her fiercely, trying to be intimidating, though it wasn't as effective with her dirty face and poor clothes.

"I believe you," she said, turning to help the others get to their feet with whispers to the younger ones. The black hair sorceress backed away from the cellar opening as the first of the children emerged, small and gaunt-looking, filthy in appearance. Yennefer unslung her pack from her back and set it on the ground. That She's using it in the start of her journey in this new continent.

"How long have you been down there child?," She asked one of the children.

"Two nights M my Lady..." one of them, a small boy, replied in a tiny, hoarse voice.

"Hells.." Yennefer cursed, digging into her bag for her ration packs. "You lot must be hungry."

"Aye, we all are," the girl who had spoken to her from the cellar said, carrying a baby wrapped in cloths of all things, Wich is her one of biggest weakness, The girl being the last one up. All in all, seventeen children had been hiding down there, two of whom were babies.

"Your name?" she asked the brown-haired pre-teen.

"Rose, M Lady," she replied, coaxing the smaller children forward, using her foot to shut the cellar door.

" M lady ?" Yennefer questioned, puzzled. It's true that people addressed her as Lady because she was and is one of the respected sorceress in The Sorcerer Brotherhood. But here these childrens are addressing her in a as the some kind of highborn nobles.

Rose gave her a puzzled look of her own. "Are you not a Stark Lady Yennefer? Your dress and that 'neckless' is most peculiar."

The sorceress shook her head, she touched the Wolf shaped medallion, it's one of Geralt's spare medallion that she took it from him, She's currently wearing it that it could remind her of her lover, but now it's seems this caused some misunderstanding, 'I am not a Stark, sorry to disappoint you child" she told her, pulling from Her pack a container of bars shaped food. "Here, pass these around. You all must be starving." At Rose's confused look, she gave a smile, and, taking one of the bars, and took a bite It's not poisoned, I swear," she assured the girl.

Rose merely nodded. "Thank you my Lady," she replied politely, before grabbing hold of the other bars and passing them around to the children,. The children's eyes all lit up once they bit into their snacks. Even Rose's, suspicious as she was, took a bite too, unable to stop a small smile on her lips from appearing as she did so.

"It is tasty," she told Yennefer. She then glanced at the babies. "You don't happen to have anything for the babes, do you lady Yennefer? I'm afraid I've no milk to feed them."

The dark-haired woman nodded her head. "Yes ofcourse child I do. I made this my self, And my people are experts at making this."

Yennefer had learned her lessons many times how to save small babes. Because she couldn't save a lot of them throughout her life.

" Alright, childrens eat up and get some sleep"

Then she looked at teen

"Rose was it, do you have the knowledge of nearby village or which direction it is ?, You childrens can't stay here for long, so I'll escort you there tomorrow. "

The young girl gave her a positive nod.

Then the girl pondered over it for a moment. "The babes will die without milk, that I am sure of. There is no food in the village either. We will go with you lady Yennefer, even though you refused being a Stark."

The black hair sorceress nodded, smiling. "Good. Could you just answer this for me?" Her face grew serious. "Who attacked your village?"

Rose's face grew pale yet furious, the other children, previously happily eating away, now grew scared.

"Ironborns," she spoke.
