"What?"
"I'm sorry I marked you when you were still a pup. But I don't regret having you as my mate."
Sophia took a distance and stared at the ceiling. "What if my mate ain't you? Until now, my wolf has never told me about my mate."
"I apologize for that. I wish I could change what has happened." John took the black necklace from his pocket. "Can I put the necklace on your neck? I didn't do it the first time I gave it to you."
