Chapter 9. Dave the Wiper:

When Dave returned to work today he was taken to Tom's office. Tom gave him the new contract and let Dave read through it. After Dave read through everything twice he was willing to sign the contract.

"Well Dave you've become a Wiper now"

To this Dave smiled and replied.

"'I'll be Wiper no.1"

"We'll see about that"

After this Tom told Dave that now he will be working for a man named Nell. After bringing Dave to the Wiper room, Dave met the only other two wipers in this research center. Nell joked and said.

"Welcome to the legions of Wipers, We are happy you joined the ranks of our large and united forces, You are now the seventh wiper in the entire city."

Tom introduced the two.

"This is Nell he's your boss in the Wiper squadron."

Tom then looked towards the other Wiper.

"This is Donn he'll be your college here"

After this simple introduction Tom said: see you later. Then he proceeded to leave. Tom was curious as he asked.

"Are there really only 7 wipers in Copper Cantury?"

To this Nell laughed and nodded his head. Donn spoke.

"There are the three of us in this Research center"

"And the other 4?"

"Two work for the mayor and are the local governmental Wiper squad and another two work for our competitors in the Nellva Research Center."

With Donns words Dave understood the situation. With this Dave asked the other question in his mind.

"So what do we do now?"

To this Nell looked at him with a face saying: YOU DON'T KNOW!? Donn sat down on a chair and waited for nell to tell Dave.

"Em dude you know we're like elite monster hunters? We're kept in the background unless one of three reasons… 1st would be our periodic Wipes which would be about four times a year the other two reasons are well… more random i guess? The 2nd reason is if there's an emergency which is why we're here in the research center, it's because if they need us we'll be right here...

As for reason 3 welp that's simple actually that's if someone hires the research centur to either kill a monster or do a wipe… it's one of the ways the research center gets some extra income for research."

Dave already knew of these things but he thought that they hunt monsters daily, he thought that reason 2 and 3 would happen more often. By Nells tone and words it's clear that these don't happen all that ohten.

With this Dave spent an entire day just laying around on the sofa next to the other two Wipers.
