At some point of time, Mr. & Mrs Shin lost their hope to find the mysterious girl, 'Alexa'.

They stopped investigating her as it was of no use. Gradually everything came back to normal. Mr. and Mrs. Shin got back to their usual lifestyle. Though Mrs. Shin seldom mentioned her name. Prof. Shin too, used to avoid the topic and somehow he never saw that mysterious student in the campus again.

Everything was back in pace till one fateful day.

It was the day of Freshers' Welcome party of Z medical school for new students.

Being the professors of the college both Mr. and Mrs. Shin were invited to the Party. On the other hand it was her beloved Yang's welcoming party. How dare she would miss it?

It was basically a meet and greet occasion. The new students had to introduce themselves during the first session and the party onwards was hosted especially for them to get along with the seniors and the classmates. Greeting without a barrier of seniority brings the people closer -- it was the motto of the event.

Mrs. Shin was cheering just like every other guardians when Yang went on stage to introduce himself.

" Lu Yang...! Lu Yang...!"

The girls were screaming.

Mrs. Jiang, another professor of surgery department sitting beside her whispered in her ear.

" Your boy is getting popular day by day, Shuhua. It's about time you get a daughter-in-law."

Shuhua Lu, aka Mrs. Shin, the head of the department of plastic surgery blushed under her colleague's tease.

"He is my boy afterall." She leaned over her husband's side.

"Look at my Xiao Yang ! He had already managed to capture all these ladies' hearts in such a short period of time." Mrs. Shin excitedly whispered in Prof. Shin's ear. " See how handsome he is looking right now."

"Ah! Whose boy he is after all? That's my boy. " Prof. Shin agreed proudly. He himself was quite famous as a lady-killer back in his college days.

Checking the surrounding he cleared his throat. "Don't be obvious. Otherwise there will be rumours about Professor Lu having a crush on Lu Yang."

He already heard rumours about a pediatric faculty member having crush on Yang. He was afraid of spreading any baseless rumour about his wife.

" Hi, I'm Lu Yang. "

The young man was looking dashing as always in a white shirt and black tailored pant. His deep soothing voice was heard through the microphone.

Mrs. Shin had tears in her eyes. Her Yang was going to be a medical student. She remembered her first day at medical College. Mrs. Shin could relate to his feelings as he continued " I studied at C high school in California. Nice to meet you guys. Hope we will have a wonderful 5 year journey. Please take care of me. Thank you. "

Lu Yang looked at the audience seats. His anticipating eyes were searching for his dearest uncle and aunt . After spotting the Shin couple proudly sitting in the first row of audience he smiled brightly.

Prof. Shin gave him a brief nod of acknowledgement. Mrs. Shin emotionally cleaned her tears.

Lu Yang was happy to see his aunty cheering for him. He stepped down of the podium after completing his lines of speech.

The programme continued. The auditorium was full of cheers and applauses for the budding doctors.

"Hi, I'm Sakura.."

" Hi, I'm Shuang Li.."

" Hi, I'm Hasan...."

"Hi, I'm Roger..."

"Hello, I'm Feng Su.."

"Hi, I'm Xiyi..."

" Hi, I'm Huo Xinyi ..."

"Hi , I'm Ruan Xi.."

"Hello, This is Jean..."

The fellow students were introducing themselves one by one. The hall was full of cheers.

At the middle of someone's speech all of a sudden Mrs. Shin tightly grabbed her husband's hand.

Prof. Shin was reading the yearly information catalogue. He was surprised at his wife's sudden gesture. He noticed her nervously looking at somewhere.

Following her gaze, he saw a tall figure of a girl walking towards the podium. She was next in the line.

The girl was wearing a grey skirt and a white full sleeve blouse. Her jet black hair, tied in a high ponytail was complementing her mixed racial features.

Her rather simple look completed with a spectacle covering her eyes was enough to stop the commotion of the auditorium.

The most mesmerizing thing about the girl was her sparkling black eyes behind the spectacles. With just a glance one could feel some kind of mystery hidden behind them.

After the previous studet completed his speech the girl walked towards the mic.

Her pale complexion was literally glittering under the lights of the stage.

"Hi, I'm Park Li Na."

"I'm an alumni of B high school. Hope we will take care of each other for the next 5 years and will become good doctors. Thank you for taking care of me."

A sweet yet sensual voice was still lingering around the auditorium even after her finishing the speech.

The auditorium was in pin drop silence. As if some serious event was going on. The people was so entangled to her sensuous voice that they even forgot to clap for acknowledging the student.

The audience came back to their senses when the next student cleared his throat loudly in mic before giving his speech. All eyes were following her composed movements till she returned back to her allotted seat in the students' section.

Mrs. Shin nervously looked at her husband. Her eyes were full of questions. Being the top of her class and in the profession for 20 years , Mrs. Shin could differentiate every facial features she had ever seen. She found it amusing that how the girl had changed not only her appearance but also her personality. If she was not the renowned plastic surgeon, Mrs. Shin could never figure out the girl. Even for her, it was difficult to differentiate. The girl had changed her while demeanor. As if the two were completely different persons. From her eyes to hair color to her appearance to behaviour, everything was different.

Prof. shin nodded head in assurance to his wife's unasked questions. It was the same girl he saw the other day in the lake premises.

Prof. Shin also noticed Yang questionably looking at the same girl like every other person in the hall. But there was something different about him.

Amusement, shock, betrayal, nervousness, pain all were written all over his face. It was hard to read his actual emotion.

"We'll talk about this later. "

Prof. Shin reassured his wife to keep calm for the time being.

Mrs. Shin aggreed nervously flashing a huge grin. She was confused too.

This girl reminded her of Alexa.

The same Alexa they saw at the orphanage. They had similar figures and nothing else. Every other features was different about this girl.

That American girl she knew of was a free spirited, ever- smiling girl. Her ability to get closer to people was surprising. She had positive vibes written all over her face. Just looking at her ocean blue eyes could calm down a rouge wolf.

But this girl in front of her was rather cold and composed. She was calm and poised, giving vibes of well educated and rich background.

Her every movement indicated of humbleness yet in a composed manner. Just like the rich family heiresses. She reminded her of training days during teenage where she had to get proper training for attending higher social parties.

All these were very unlikely of Alexa, the mysterious foreigner girl.

Unlike Alexa, she had black hair, more specifically her eye colour. It was totally different from their previous knowledge.

It was black instead of the ocean blue eyes of that foreigner blonde.

Mrs. Shin knew that there may be a few people with similar features. Maybe this was not the girl she was looking for. But deep down her heart somehow she had this hunch that girl was 'that Alexa'.

Lu Shuhua was just glad to see the girl.
