"I'm definitely not in agreement with this decision, Emerald. It is a foolish one in my opinion and I cannot believe that you're willing to compromise and deal with the embarrassment that this man puts you through regularly. Can't you just come over to my place and stay with me for the time being?" Mia asked, stressing over the fact that Emerald was willing to go back to Brian despite how he had completely ignored her phone call earlier and was still not aware of her health condition.

Emerald could understand the reason behind Mia's anger and although Mia thought that she wasn't as upset as she was, Emerald knew deep down that she was furious but was only trying to contain her anger and remember her place to avoid getting into any trouble.
