Chapter Sixty Eight — Innocent Marlene

Third Person Pov

"Is there anything you'd like to eat?" Brian asked Marlene as he helped her get into the car.

She had requested to be discharged early because she didn't feel comfortable being in the hospital and even if Brian didn't agree with her decision, he didn't have any other choice but to let her do what she wanted because he didn't want her to get upset.

"Right now, the only thing I want to do is go home and get some rest but the problem now is, I don't think I can go back to my place because I don't want to remember the things that happened there," Marlene replied, resting her back into the passenger seat as Brian helped her with her seatbelt.

She loved that he was paying attention to her and was trying to do everything to please her. This was exactly what she wanted and now that she had gotten it, she had no intentions of letting him slip out of her hands.
