Marlene sat in silence as she watched Brian explain the nonsense idea he had suddenly gotten from nowhere. She had been staying at his place for the last three days and she was extremely happy by the fact that Emerald had been intimidated by her and had left the house for her.
What she didn't expect was that Brian would be so bothered by the fact that Emerald had left because even though he always tried to act like he wasn't, she could sense that he wasn't being honest with himself and that he didn't like the fact that Emerald wasn't with him.
