Pete stared at her long and hard and she felt awkward and a bit embarrassed of what she said. She knew that compared to others, despite everything that she went through, she was still quite blessed and in a better position in life—way much better.

"You have a valid reason to complain but don't think the world is about to get you. The world has nothing to do with what we get in life. We answer to the world, the world does not answer to us. I don't know who said that but someone did," he scoffed, chuckling lighty.
