SWISH SWISH SWISH SWISH SWISH SWISH SWISH
Different views and sceneries flashed before Marshadow's eyes as he flew through the portal. A strong pressure began to press down on him before dragging him out. With a rough tug, he was sent tumbling through the ground.
But it didn't take long for him to regain his balance and observe his surroundings. The barren purple sand was everywhere in sight. The broken and destroyed buildings were half-covered in said sand. Random and spares ghost Pokémon could be seen in sight which also looked around.
It seemed that everyone had been forcefully dragged into this space by some unknown force. But before Marshadow could investigate where he was and what he needed to do a booming voice echoed through the space.
{Welcome to the 303rd death race. The rules are simple. Incredibly simple actually. There are no rules HAHA! *Cough* Your only objective, to arrive at my castle first. The reward you seek, whatever it might be, will be given to you. However, only one can win, kill-kill and kill some more. I look forward to your performance, children of darkness, and as always, may the odds be forever against your favour! Hahaha!} the voice cackled madly as it faded into the distance. Like smoke in the drifting wind.
Marshadow looked around aimlessly unable to gain any clue for where to go. But again, before he could even take a step, a massive arrow made of pure black smoke appeared in his vision pointing in a certain direction.
He instantly knew where he had to go. He crouched slightly and raised his arms beside him before shooting into the sky like a missile.
BOOOOOOOM!
An earthquake exploded out from where he previously stood, massive whirlpools of sand and dirt began to move and sucked in hundreds of surrounding Pokémon in the vicinity. Marshadow looked down at them as if he was a god of this world.
His half legacy mode exploded out as his body turned jade green with green fire bursting out from his head.
"For Rex, for my brothers, for big brother Machamp, no Pokémon, man or god will stop me on my path to strength! I WILL NOT FAAAAAALL!" he shouted.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
A ray of light shot into the sky like a ray of green doom. Every Pokémon in the ghost realm looked at that light in shock and fear. Only a few Pokémon were able to keep their composure. But they were incredibly solemn at this moment.
Even the owner of the voice in the castle was shocked speechless. Such power was something it had not seen in centuries. He even began to shake slightly. He knew very well what the meaning of that power was. And the origin of it as well.
{The prodigal son returns,} he said in a deep voice. The shadow on the throne grinned slightly as a faint light flickered in his golden flame eyes.
Marshadow descended like a jade meteor from the sky causing the air to shatter and swirl around him as his body burned brighter and hotter the faster he descended.
BOOOOOOOM!
The ground trembled a second time as the sand became glass under the insane heat. a massive 20-kilometre crater was formed in the sand that had killed thousands of stray ghost Pokémon. Marshadow had understood that there could only be one winner. So, none of these Pokémon needed their lives anymore.
He climbed out of the pit as his flames turned blood red in an instant, two daggers appeared in his hands. They were made out of aura which he had just master in this moment.
He walked forward without a care as a strong wind picked blowing sand around him. It was like the sand was protecting him from harm as it masked his figure. The red flames looked like a scarf as it lit the night sky. Eyes filled with killing intent and determination that glowed brilliantly like headlights.
SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!
He would flash step and kill a Pokémon with one hit, appeared behind them and continue moving forward. He never stopped walking, not once, not ever. He will accomplish his goal and make his family proud.

In another location, a mega Gengar was starting at the green beam of light that lit the night sky like it was daytime. He was someone that had unlocked the secrets of mega evolution by himself and was able to unleash it permanently. He had power over the shadows and his own personal domain.
It was this domain that he dragged other Pokémon into and shredded them into little ribbons in seconds. But no matter how much it killed, the sense of dread from the beam of light and the power behind it squeezed his heart.
But he would move forward, he would obtain more power, because only then, would he be able to bring back the person he cherished most. There was no room for failure.

In yet another location, a greninja stood atop the body of a dead dusclops observing the beam of green light. This was no ordinary greninja, this was a greninja with the ghost typing. It had bathed in the blood of every living being it had encountered. It had gone beyond the limits of its species and evolved further. A fourth evolution.
He pulled out his oversized shuriken that was made out of blood, water, and purple-black smoke from the dead Pokémon's body. He placed it behind his back and pulled up his black tongue to avoid ingesting the sand that was swimming in the air. A pair of red merciless and emotionless eyes stared in the direction of the arrow.

There would be carnage, and three monsters were vying for victory. Let the death race commence!
