Cruise, another encounter

In the team rocket base under Viridian city on a big chair in a wide room sat Giovanni with Jess's information, the autopsy results, the conclusion from the police and the fire department. They had found the origin of the fire. At the epicentre of the house, a small circle was left intact which showed signs of being the place where some type of blast went off. They concluded that there was foul play at hand but couldn't find any traces at all which led them to the culprit. The fire seemed to be so intense that it burned any traces there was, if any to begin with, away.

Giovanni naturally knew who it was. He was notified of the agent being able to successfully neutralise the kid. He was happy about the result and sent the money over but no longer than a couple of hours and he caught news of an explosion at the residence which Jess used for the operation.

There were only two ways that this could happen. Either someone took revenge for the kid, or the kid is alive. He leaned towards the second since he was notified that it was indeed Jess's voice who confirmed. The only thing that was suspicious was that there was only one body recovered and that was Jess's. This presents him with more possibilities.

If the kid was alive then he was able to blow up the house in order to clear any evidence. No eyewitnesses were discovered so it was not very high on his list. Another possibility was that if the kid was dead then the person who took revenge took the kid's body away. Another less likely outcome was that the kid's body got turned to ash but given that Jess was left resembling a human there was little chance that the kid would be different. There were likely more possibilities but for now, he was inclined to believe that someone took revenge for him.

But that led him to another thought. Someone was with the kid. And he had no clue who it could be. He had sent rocket members to Vermilion city to scout out and to investigate but for now, it was too early for any results to pop up. He didn't believe that Rex was alive since Jess's voice was heard before the call reporting a confirmed kill.

For now, he would leave it at that since that bossy little kid was going to arrive sometime in the next couple of weeks and he need to put something things in order. He massaged his temples with an irritated look, after all, he had lost 50 million poke dollars.

When he tried to trace it, he was sent for a loop that led nowhere and was forced to give up. It was still a lot of money to just be thrown away so he guessed that whoever took Rex's body must have taken the money somehow. He could only shake his head with a sigh and turn to other things. At least he got the kid so that was a plus. Thinking about that he had a smile on his face.

Rex who inadvertently cleared himself of any suspicion was sleeping soundly in his room.

Rex woke up to the sound of a busy street, the clamour of people and the sound of a pidgey by the window pecking at it with determination. Rex tossed and turned for a few minutes more before giving up on getting any more sleep.

Rex got dressed and made sure to hack the hotel and delete any trace of him being there, and just in time as team rocket members were planning to search through hotel book ins for the past few days in a couple of hours.

Rex exited the hotel and got on his bike and sped towards the cruise that was going to leave in an hour. He arrived 10 mins and drove into an alley after making sure no one was paying attention. He then chucked his bike into his inventory along with his helmet, readjusted his grey suit, and gloves put some shades on and walked out and headed towards the reception room. He walked in a signed himself in before boarding the cruise and heading to his designated room. With 50 million in funds, who in their right mind would buy a normal room. No, he bought the most luxurious one, he really wanted to indulge in the life of a rich man since he only earned a modest wage in his last life, even as a general.

There were some beautiful women on the cruise who turned to stare at him, but he was not interested in the least. Even though he seemed fine after what Nina-Jess did, he wasn't intact. It still impacts someone when they are schemed against by someone they slept with. He would lay off the women for a while and enjoy the 3-day trip and enjoy his time with his Pokémon away from training.

During this time though, Rex discovered that Marshadow was actually a little pervert. He acted all aloof and secluded like Scyther but it was actually skulking around perving on women. Rex knew it didn't have a gender, so it was that much more interesting. He ignored it after a while since all it did was stay in the shadows and didn't cause him problems.

Growlithe ran around Rex's legs as he walked around the ship which earned a lot of stares from women who wanted to pet Growlithe. As Rex made his way over to get himself some food, he saw a very familiar figure. And he was stunned, the woman in front of him was Elesa who was wearing a tight-fitting red dress that did absolutely nothing to hide her curves. But it wasn't a slutty dress, it was a summer dress with white flower patterns on it. that covered her nicely and gave off a mature vibe which enhanced her charm.

Her red lipstick was further accentuated when in contrast to her black hair and snow-white skin.

Rex "Pleasure seeing you here Elesa," he said warmly.
