Chapter 60

“Martin isn’t behind this,” Ron said.

Chris nodded. “Then who else might know more about us than I do?”

Ron laid his head back. “Whoever has my camera,” he said softly, then turned and looked at Chris. “There’s a video on there from the lake where I’m being silly, saying I love you, and I call you Snapdragon.”

“That makes sense,” Chris said with a sigh. “The video out of context makes it appear like we’re together.” He looked at Ron. “It just happened to expose a secret.”

“I’m sorry.”

Chris took a deep breath and rubbed his forehead. “So, we’re back to no suspects, just a video on a stolen camera.”

Ron sighed. “I’m going to get us through this,” he said, then walked toward the bedroom.

“Ron, I’m sorry it didn’t work out between us.”

“James makes you happy,” Ron said as he met Chris’s gaze. “That’s all I want for you.”

“I want you to be happy, too.”

“I’m fine.” Ron walked into the bedroom and then shut the door.
