Chapter 1: Fuukk . . . Why Skyrim !

Today is Monday, and it's I Duncan's duty to go get some groceries. It's now 7 PM in front of Walmart, and BANG! The 'W' on the front store falls on me. No pain, no nothing, and BAM! I'm on a carriage in front of six dudes and one buff blond guy looking at me, saying, "Hey, you. You're finally awake..." I reincarnated in Fucking Skyrim! Everything's too fast! FUUUCK!

"You were trying to cross the border, right? Walked right into that Imperial ambush, same as us, and that thief over there," Ralof continued. Still frozen, their dialogue continues. Then angrily, the one who looks like Lokir barks, "Damn you Stormcloaks. Skyrim was fine until you came along. Empire was nice and lazy. If they hadn't been looking for you, I could've stolen that horse and been halfway to Hammerfell. You there. You and me — we should be here. It's these Stormcloaks the Empire wants." He said, "We're all brothers and sisters in bind now, thief," Ralof replied.

"Shut up back there!" The Imperial soldier driving the carriage commanded. "And what's wrong with him, huh?" The thief continued, gesturing at the frankly scary dude whose mouth is blocked by some tissue. "Watch your tongue!" Ralof warned. "You're speaking to Ulfric Stormcloak, the true High King." The thief's face pales. "Ulfric? The Jarl of Windhelm? You're the leader of the rebellion. But if they've captured you... Oh gods, where are they taking us?"

"I don't know where we're going, but Sovngarde awaits," Ralof replied grimly. "No, this can't be happening. This isn't happening." The thief panics. "Hey, what village are you from, horse thief?" Ralof asked. "Why do you care?" "A Nord's last thoughts should be of home." "Rorikstead. I'm... I'm from Rorikstead." The thief finally said.

"General Tullius, Sir. The headsman is waiting." The horse thief looked around. "Good. Let's get this over with." A bald guy in heavy armor replied. "Shor, Mara, Dibella, Kynareth, Akatosh. Divines, please help me." The Thief begged. "Look at him, General Tullius, the Military Governor." Ralof whispered to me. "And it looks like the Thalmor are with him. Damn Elves. I bet they had something to do with this."

"This is Helgen. I used to be sweet to a girl from here. Wonder if Vilod is still making that mead with juniper berries mixed in. Funny, when I was a boy, Imperial walls and towers used to make me feel so safe." "Who are they, dad?" A boy asked his father. "Where are they going, dad?" A girl asked hers. "You need to get inside," the father told his children. "Why, I want to watch the soldiers." "We need to go. Come on, let's go. I said, come on, let's go."

As still as a sea cucumber, I helplessly watch everything unfold in front of me. Vomit arises from my mouth as I begin to see the executioner stand, and as my brain melted, I didn't pay attention to Helgen, which quite frankly looked a hundredfold bigger than in the game. We finally come to a stop as an imperial in full imperial heavy armor shouts as we get off the cart, "Step toward the block when we call your name. One at a time!" We can see next to her a man who can only be Hadvar. "Ulfric Stormcloak, Jarl of Windhelm," the captain said.

"It has been an honor, Jarl Ulfric!" Ralof proudly stated. "Ralof of Riverwood." The captain stated, then looked at me. "Who are you?" "I am Duncan," I answer. And as I tell my name, a sickening sensation takes control of me as I see myself in the character creation of Skyrim. There I can change everything from race to physical features, and as I look at every nook and cranny of the screen, a cog on the bottom left, barely visible, is there. Clicking on it, more screens appear. A status window with every basic information — strength, vitality, dexterity, agility, intellect, and then luck. There is a 'next' at the end. Maybe I'll need to do that when I finish with the stats first.

Status windows:

After a good 30 minutes brainstorming what I would want to be in the future and thinking of magic, knowing that there is a big difference between the game and its lore, magic is OP. I then psychologically click next.

Then a screen saying choose 2 Ability, 1 Traits and 2 Skills pop into existence. I don't get it, so click on ability traits and skills to know what they mean.

An Ability is something special you have in the magical plane of things (Passive Ex: Kyne believer capable of Thu'um with a lessened penalty different for each shout Bonus in Speech (Slight)). Traits are what you're good at with bonuses in the physical plane of things (Passive Ex: Swordborn learns any type of swordsmanship 3 times faster, Bonus stats Dexterity +2). A Skill is knowledge in a domain magical or physical (Ex: Skill Branch: Destruction Tree Wind - Wind Spears - Wind Slash - Wind Ward(Physical/magical Hit/Arrow protection) Denied because Wind Ward falls in the Alteration Branch). Then a big list falls on the Ability section.

Abilities:

Dreamwalker's Insight:

Abyssal Affinity:

Description: Your connection to the abyss grants you control over shadowy forces. You can blend into the darkness, move through shadows, and summon creatures from the depths. (Active: Shadowmeld) !Warning! Darkness, Abyss, Shadow entities WATCH you.

Elemental Harmony (All):

Description: You possess a disharmonious bond with elements, granting you the ability to manipulate and launch elemental-based spells with finesse at the level of its magic school. (Passive 20%) (Active: Novice Spell Distorted Elemental Orb) !Warning! At low levels, all spells can injure/kill you! You can't use elements separately and harmoniously at a low level.

Starforged Soul:

Description: Your soul is infused with the essence of stars, granting you enhanced physical and magical abilities while under a star. You can harness starlight for smithing purposes. (Passive 25% and 10% smithing boost) (Active: Star Forge Fire)

Soulbound Artisan:

Description: Your magical prowess is channeled into the creation of enchanted items. You can imbue objects with mystical properties, enhancing their effectiveness. Enhance Enchanting magic school. (Passive: Enchanting Mastery 30%)

Phantom Guards:

Description: You have the ability to summon ethereal guardians to protect and aid you in battle. These spectral beings can absorb damage and distract enemies. (Active: Phantom Guardians) !Warning! Must be paid.

"From the long list I received, this one seems the best. The Chaos Intrusion, controlling probabilities, is a broken ability to manipulate, especially with the added boost to luck. I can't forget luck, especially when I'm not the Dragonborn. Now that I think about it, it wasn't even in the wagon... Will thought about it later For the second choice, Aetherial Resonance is what I want, but... I don't know any spells, and if I can't survive here, it's not a measly 5% that will save me from a flying lizard scorching my butt. So Elemental Harmony seems to be my best bet. I could use a summon, but if I can't help myself, what use do I have later? The Phantom Guard can absorb damage, but how much? And I don't have anything to give them... Imagine they take a limb or worse, my soul. No, no, don't wanna!

WAIT A MINUTE! Why do I think I need Elemental Harmony? I could just take a magic spell tree in the Skill section... WTF, man, hopefully, I re-read all the explanations right now. I would be a dumb shit otherwise... Oh my heart is beating...

Chaos and Aether then." When I finally chose and was sure of it, the page closed, and another one with the traits opened. "Better be careful, or my future could be shorter than a breath."

Traits:

Dual-Tasking Brain: Your brain excels at seamlessly managing two activities at the same time, effortlessly juggling tasks like running while spellcasting or even double spellcasting. This unique trait allows you to multitask with exceptional efficiency, providing you with the ability to perform diverse actions simultaneously. (Passive: Parallel Thinking, +2 Intellect)

Eagle-eyed Marksman: Your keen eyesight and precision make you an exceptional marksman. You have an innate ability to accurately hit distant targets with ranged weapons. (Passive: Bow-Jutsu (Bowmanship 20% learning boost), Bonus stats: +2 Perception)

Infiltrator: Your ability to move silently and blend into shadows is unmatched. You can approach enemies unnoticed and execute covert operations with finesse. (Passive: Stealth 20% learning bonus, Bonus stats: +2 Agility)

Berserker Fury: In the heat of battle, your rage becomes a powerful asset. The more damage you take, the stronger your attacks become, making you a fearsome force when your health is low. (Passive: Cornered Beast, Bonus stats: +3 Strength)

Quick Reflexes: Your reflexes are lightning-fast, allowing you to react swiftly to danger. You have an increased chance to dodge incoming attacks and respond with precision. (Passive: Slow Sight, Bonus stats: +2 Dexterity)

I look at the screen intensely. "That's a no-brainer. Dual-Tasking Brain all the way, early double spell casting. Hell yeah, lucky find."

Skills:

Skill Branch: Enchantment Tree

Artificer's Insight: Gain an intuitive understanding of magical artifacts and their properties.

Skill Branch: Destruction

Cyclone Crescendo: Unleash a powerful cyclone infused with sonic vibrations, disorienting and damaging foes within its radius.

Seismic Shockwave: Unleash a powerful shockwave that travels through the ground, destabilizing and stunning enemies.

Phantasmal Barrage: Conjure spectral projectiles that pass through obstacles, striking foes from unexpected angles.

After listing them all, I look at the one I chose. "Sigh There are too many spells and not enough information. First, I don't know if I could use any of these spells because I don't know if they are novice or master spells. Second, are the spells I choose immediately useful? Not all of them, sadly. And I can't take them all anyway." I ponder, "I think I'll go with the Phantasmal Barrage for a sure-hit spell. Should be enough. Wait, it's not necessary in the identity changer with the body-changing screen and identity selector. There is a Job selector, there will surely be some novice mage job or something, so I'll choose Artificer Insight so that I don't pick Daedric or cursed items or something. It could serve me if I want to work as an appraiser and a lot more things surely, but right now, not that useful. Hurm that and Temporal Shielding that sure will help me not get pulverized by Alduin's comets, and a time spell will surely help me in the long run to manipulate it more, evidently on a lower scale. I don't want to disappear if I do some shit with it…"

Thinking next, it came back to the character creation thing with the identity creator. "So what will I be... Races are all blocked but the Nord one, why?" I search, and when I see the identity card with Nord on it, I erase it. "Now I can change it, okay. So no half Breton, half High Elf. Sad, they are the best mage races. I'll take the High Elf one then. Mana capacity and regen for the win and the 300 years lifespan, cool too."

Then, after completing all that and choosing the Winterhold College novice job instead of a lot of small other ones like farmer, gates guard, imperial soldier, thief, and all that. "There's even a slave. Who would want that, really?" There was a self-learned novice mage and all but connection. And it will help with learning more things with the teachers and all that.

Then all screens shut and came back to my body, and my original body changed accordingly, but there wasn't any ugly elf face there, but a better than basic face with piercing yellow eyes. The really big change was the ears and the height. I'm already a 1.80m guy, but it shot up to at least 2m. I reduce it to 1.80, give myself a bit more of cotton muscle because why not, and there is a normal-looking guy with golden thread-like hair and piercing yellow eyes. Sure looks cool. Make myself younger too, 18 more lifespan. I could even put 3, but it would be absurd, and I think that my stat would drop accordingly.

Then the screen closes, and a final one comes.
