episode 60 Inaba Puri

It is Friday morning, a new transfer student enters the school, during class time at "Wreck's" class, the teacher prepares a welcome for the new transfer student.

Teacher: settle down class, today there is another transfer student that will be joining us today, I hope you all get along the same as always, may you please enter the class and introduce yourself.

This new student is a twin tailed girl, she walks into the class with a normal smile, her name is "Inaba Puri".

Puri: good morning, everyone, my name is "Inaba Puri", can we be friends? It's nice to meet you all.

Teacher: now that we have 2 new students, I don't want to see any complaints, "Veganson", I'm sure "Rin" showed you all the locations.

Wreck: yes sir.

Teacher: good, then you better show her around the school.

Student: sensei, why should "Veganson" show her around and not someone who's even more familiar with the school?

Teacher: I want to hear no complaints, you here?

Student: [surprised, sweat] yes, sensei.

"Wreck" takes "Puri" to show her around the school, they stopped by the hallway after that.

Puri: say…is there anything unusual about this school?

Wreck: unusual like what?

Puri: like evil spirits or demons?

Wreck: …it's better if you ignore those, there are no casualties around here.

Puri: [walk around] some people would go 'what are you talking about? You must be hallucinating', but you in the other hands, it seems you met some.

Wreck: …anyway, class is about to start soon, we better get going.

After class "puri" walks up to "Wreck" and sat beside him.

Puri: would you mind if I sit here?

Wreck: of course not.

Puri: great, then it's better if we could share our knowledge.

Wreck: [dull] …sure, I just competed in the brain wars.

Puri: did you win?

Wreck: third place, never jealous about it.

Puri: I've been studying fortune telling.

Wreck: I've read about those, not very interesting.

At break time "Wreck" headed to the cafeteria to meet up with the team.

Keti: you're here! Great, just in the nick of time to talk about what we should prepare for.

Wreck: is it about the 7 mysteries? Since we have dealt with 2, there might be some kind of an issue where the other 5 mysteries would want to aim for those got out of the domain alive.

Fey: someone back there is waving at you.

Keti: …do you know her?

Wreck: she's just a new transfer.

"Puri" sat with the team.

Puri: are those your friends? Hi, I'm "Puri".

Fey: and so, another has entered the round table.

Wreck: don't complicated things, she's into other kinds of things.

Keti: yeah, I can see that, anyways, they are getting very cautious about us right now?

Wreck: it's more like when you play that one video, after defeating a few bosses then eventually dreamers come out saying 'don't come for us little one, dream a dream and let us be', more like they're about to warn us not to interfere with them or the trap will be triggered.

Puri: what are you guys talking about?

Fey: we're gonna go meet the 7 mysteries, but "Keti" insisted that we prepare for every last one.

Puri: [surprised] oh, I've heard about these, the evil spirits that wreak havoc upon the school no one knows about, I read about it in the urban legends.

Keti: spoken like an amateur, spirits that are born of belief that it's invisible to those who don't believe in them, with such a lack of understanding you might get yourself killed in the process.

Puri: don't worry about me, because I'm an exorcist.

Fey: [excited] another one of ultra-weirdness, can we recruit her?

Keti: hmm…we've been dealing with things that are far worse than evil spirits.

Wreck: look, how about we put her in a test? If she's worthy we take her into this.

Fey: but how do you put up a test in such a short time since there are no spirits to deal with?

Puri: I already have that covered…you see, there is a fish that was possessed by an evil spirit I was able to sense it from the hallways.

Wreck: [surprised] (oh no, I know exactly what kind of fish that is, but if she exorcised that fish--).

They waited till school is over then went to where the fish is, although "Keti" and "Seth" aren't there to see it.

Puri: if I exorcise that fish successfully then I can join you?

Wreck: only if you saved the fish from the spirit without killing it.

Fey: may the test begin.

"puri" went closer to the fish and used her concentration method.

wreck: is she about to cast an incantation?

Puri: evil spirit, release your host at once.

Suddenly snakes start to appear from her hands and bite the fish, it dragged the spirit out of the fish, revealing its true form.

Puri: so, [desperate] how did I do?

Fey: …what's the story of the fish again?

Wreck: I didn't explain the story of the fish, but anyway, there was once a spirit that's been tortured by its own mother, that caused it to see its mother as a traumatizing nightmare, it had found a way to hide from her forever, so he chose the fish as its host, no options left for the poor guy.

Fey: if that's the case, does that mean "Puri" only captured an innocent spirit?

Wreck: I wouldn't say innocent, more like a runaway, that spirit is bait since the beginning.

Mother spirit: there you are, I have finally found you.

Puri: [terrified] what is happening?

Wreck: twist of tests, "Puri", you need to defeat the mother spirit before she could get her hands on her child.

The mother spirit appears in the middle of the room looking at her child spirit in the hands of "Puri".

Mother spirit: my baby, give him to me.

Puri: [terrified] I ah.

Wreck: if you hand the spirit to her, you'll fail the test, her child probably does not want to see her again.

Puri: [terrified] … (I wasn't trained for this, I only learned how to exorcise lowly spirits…but this is whole other level, am I going to die if I fight her).

Wreck: this is bad, she's losing faith.

Fey: is she going to die?

"Wreck" jumps in and stops the mother spirit before she could make her move.

mother spirit: [angry] stay out of my way, human.

Wreck: "Fey", we have to get her hopes up again, or we're gonna have to stop the test.

Fey: if we stop the test, she'll fail … [hold shoulder] "Puri" … [shake back and forth] get yourself together and finish what you started, your job is to save this little guy from his mama, there is no time to be scared of something when the objective is right in front of you.

Puri: [nervous] but "Fey".

Fey: nah ah, I'll take no doubts from you, the level of that thing is not important right now, [yell] you need to fix this talent of doing nothing in dire situations, don't you want to pass this test?

Puri: [deep breathe] … ("Fujimori" is right, if I want to pass this test, I should have given it all I've got, but I was so careless to not know how dangerous these spirits are … no more running, I must do something about that spirit), [serious] move aside, I can still do this.

"Fey" and "Wreck" move away and let "Puri" deal with the mother spirit, she started to protect the little spirit from any attack then used her exorcism skill to fight the mother spirit.

Mother spirit: [angry] you damn human, how dare you?

The more "Puri" exorcised the mother spirit the more heavier her breathe gets, the mother spirit eventually caught her while she's exhausted.

Mother spirit: [laugh] tired already? You will die if you don't give my baby back.

"Puri" used her final attack, it weakened the mother spirit and made both of them fall, "Wreck" walks up to "Puri" to check up on her.

Wreck: you did well, good thing you didn't kill the mother spirit.

Puri: [panting] but you said I must--.

Wreck: your job was to execute the mother spirit and protect her child, my desires deny the fact that you should.

Mother spirit: foolish human this isn't over, I'll come back for my baby.

Wreck: I suggest you never come to the surface ever again, otherwise I'm gonna have to call out for "Grimm", I can take you to him right here and now.

Mother spirit: [terrified] you're blushing, there's no way.

Wreck: [yell] "Grimm Troupe", I have payment to give, will you please show us a do-.

Mother spirit: [panic] no, please stop, don't call out for him, I promise I won't come to the surface, please don't send me to him.

Wreck: great, good bye now, go back to where you came from before he could even see you.

The mother spirit went back to where she came from, never to appear at the surface again nor come near her child.

Child spirit: thank you, I can finally rest now [ascend].

Fey: the spirits can ascend from the earth when you finish their own problems?

Wreck: all spirits have their own reasons to exist in this world, there are those who can't request help when they need it, and there are those who would scream with intense anger have the urge to request for vengeance, and there are those that would want to live for their own purposes.

Fey: "Puri" couldn't kill the mother spirit, instead…she did all she could to protect that child.

Wreck: fair enough, looks like she passed the test by failing it.

"Wreck" heals "Puri", she's able to breath normally, she was so confused how he did it.

Wreck: welcome to the team, "Inaba Puri".

They headed to the chemistry lab after cleaning the room to meet up with the rest.

Wreck: guys, meet our new member of the team.

"Landy" transforms into a cockatiel on "Wreck's" head.

Puri: [panic] what is that? It suddenly came out of your head.

Wreck: oh, you've never seen a morph before?

Keti: so, anyways…guys, I've made up the list for our next target.
