As I hurriedly rushed through the gate, I let out a bloodcurdling scream at the sight of Siren lying still on the floor, deathly pale and unconscious. My heart raced as I quickly ran to her side, noticing the gunshot wound on her arm that had been left untreated. "Oh my God! How could you ignore your injury?!" I exclaimed in frustration, as I scooped her up and carried her inside.
With the utmost care, I tended to her wound and changed her outfit. Despite her weakened state, her beauty continued to shine as brightly as ever. I couldn't help but feel a twinge of concern and hope for her recovery as I thought back on the chaos that had unfolded over the past few weeks. It was a tough road, but I prayed it would all be worth it in the end. I really hope that when Logan wakes up things will change. After he was done in her room he went to the other bed.
THE NEXT MORNING
Liam was shaken by the loud racket from his phone's ringing, squinting his eyes as he grabbed it to see who was calling, it turned out to be Logan.
Logan, it's 6:00 AM what do you want? He responds drowsy.
I need you at the office at 7:00 AM. You have a lot of explaining to do. He spoke sternly.
Screw you man! It's my day off and I'm super exhausted. He said feeling irritated.
Don't keep me waiting, Liam! He warned and disconnected the call.
What the hell?! He cursed as he heard the call disconnect. What does he want now?
SIREN'S APARTMENT
Siren slowly stirred in her sleep, her eyes slowly fluttering open as she took in her surroundings. Finally, she realized that she was in her own house, and she let out a sigh of relief.
"Finally! You're awake." Xi said, his voice filled with concern.
Siren was confused. "Xi?... How did you get here?" she asked, still groggy from her sleep.
"Seriously? You don't remember anything?" Xi asked sarcastically, his tone indicating that he was relieved that she was okay.
Siren frowned. "No..." she said, hesitating for a moment before suddenly remembering the events of last night. "Oh! I remember now. Thanks a lot, Xi."
"You're welcome. But, Siren, what happened last night? You lost consciousness because of your negligence! You didn't tend to your wound. What was so important that you ignored your own need for self-care? What if something bad happened to... Xi questioned her, his voice full of worry.
But Siren cut him off before he could finish. "Logan woke up!" she clamoured, a gloomy smile crossing her face.
Xi was stunned. "Wait what? What did you just say?"
"Yes, he woke up yesterday," Siren replied, her voice barely a whisper. "I received a call informing me of his conscious state."
"So what are you doing here?" Xi asked, his confusion growing. "Why are you not with him right now? Considering how you went berserk the day he slipped into a coma."
Siren hesitated for a moment before replying. "Well...I rushed there when I received the call. I was so happy to see him awake after such a long time, but..."
"But what, Siren?" Xi asked, his impatience growing because her face didn't look so bright.
"He doesn't remember me anymore, Xi," Siren said, tears pouring down her face. "Nothing at all."
Xi was taken aback by Siren's words, but he knew that he had to be there for her. He couldn't even imagine the level of pain she must be feeling now considering how important Logan is to her. He reached out and took her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "I'm so sorry, Siren," he said softly. "But I promise you that everything will be fine."
How Xi? Please tell me how. She asked crying harder.
Please, calm down I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere okay? He coerced.
AT GREGORY'S
Boss you called for me?
Yes, I need you to take care of someone for me, make it clean and smooth.
Ok, boss, who's the target?
Nalani Johnson. Make it clean and smooth. Here's her picture and location."
Yes boss! He responded and left.
As he left the room, a sinister smile spread across his face. He took a sip of whiskey, relishing in the taste, and plotted his next move. "If I do this job," he thought to himself, "I'll have Brianca in my bed, no matter who she's married to." Fucking her brains out is one thing I'll enjoy doing forever!
BROOKS CORP
Good morning, Sir. The secretary greeted Liam and Leo who didn't respond but walked past her into Logan's office.
What's this about Logan? Leo asks feeling exhausted.
Take a seat. He urged and they complied.
Between the two of you, who has been sitting in my place?
Why ask? Liam questioned.
Just give me an answer he asked sternly making his friends flinch.
Calm down, bro. We all did but Nalani handled the main transactions. Explained Leo.
Why are you so interested? Asked Liam.
The password of my laptop changed, and I can't seem to open it. Besides that, I've been receiving calls from China, and I don't know why but he kept insisting on talking to my fiancee and not me. I don't remember having a fiancee and I don't remember striking a deal with a man from China. So who's going to do the explaining? He asked calmly but his eyes said otherwise.
Swallowing hard. His friends throw hesitant glances at each other and look back at him. You've always wanted that deal right? Leo started.
Yes but how was it achieved? Because I couldn't.
Nalani did it! She's your fiancee and if you want to know anything else ask her yourself, bro. I don't know anything else. Said, Leo.
The atmosphere was tense as Logan's friends looked at him with hesitation, unsure of what to say. Logan swallowed hard and his mind raced with questions, wanting to know how Nalani had achieved the deal that he had always wanted. But despite his efforts, he couldn't seem to figure it out.
Just as the silence grew suffocating, the office doors opened and Nalani strolled in, exuding a beauty so striking that Logan felt himself losing his breath. Her alluring figure was accentuated by the red body suit she was wearing, which gave a tantalizing glimpse of her cleavage. Her skirt ended mid-thigh, and the sight of her gorgeous legs sent a shiver down Logan's spine. And those heels...they seemed to whisper a siren's call that he couldn't ignore.
But it was Nalani's face that truly captivated him. Her complexion was flawless and milky, and her hair was bedecked in an effortlessly perfect manner that spoke of a natural grace that few could match. And those eyes...they held a glittering fire that betrayed a passionate and spirited soul.
Almost instinctively, Logan's friends were drawn towards her magnetic presence- even Liam and Leo were entranced.
And then she spoke, What do you want to know, Logan? her question loaded with a playful edge that only served to heighten her undeniable allure as she curled her lip in a smirk. Logan could barely think straight, so entranced was he by her potent beauty. There was no doubt in his mind- Nalani was a goddess, in every sense of the word.
