Dad was still watching me. I wanted to say something but I couldn't.I gripped my throat. My throat was as dry as the Sahara desert, if not more. I tried to reach for water but winced in pain in my joints. I didn't know for how much time I was out but my joints were all locked as if I didn't use my body for days. Dad rushed to my side ,poured water in a glass and handed it over to me. I emptied the entire content. I started feeling much better.
"Do you want more water? " Dad asked.
"No.I am fine" Which came out merely a whisper.
"How much have I been out for? "I asked dad .
He rubbed the space between his eyebrows while placing one hand on his hip.
" It has been nearly a week. You are lucky you survived from the wolf poison and rogues inject the worst kind of poison when they bite. Hunters who were bitten did not survive".
