"Uh... Roc? Maple? Are you still there? Hello? Roc? Maple?"

No matter how much I try to contact them, I couldn't get through.

"Give it up Linel, they're lost." (Lokki)

"Forget about those two for now. So, how are you guys holding up?" (Ace)

"What do you think?!" (Wren)

"Now now darling! Don't be so upset." (Mathias)

"I heard your thoughts through the brain terminal darling, and you're upset because you weren't paired up with-"

"If you guys have the time to be fooling around, then I guess you two are alright. How about the others?"

"Alright then... So, Linel, Kana, how are you two holding up?" (Ace)

I answer Ace.

"So-so I guess... Thanks to Kana."

All of a sudden, Kana speaks.

"Air Thrusters."

"Uh... What?"

"The monster is catching up to us."

"Oh right..."

I concentrate and imagine air being pressurizes in one place.

The brain terminal where my hands are on, suddenly glows which gives of a greenish color.

That means I successfully created some air pressure inside the energy tank for Kana to use.

After that, Kana release the pressurized air through the thrusters.

Woooosh*

Since Kana couldn't keep up with the sudden acceleration, she makes the wavebot stride so that we won't trip over...

Chug* Doosh* Chug* Doosh...*

I think we hit around 300 Kph.

"Um... Everyone! If I remember correctly, up a head is the crystal forest that we pass through earlier." (Aeris)

Crystal forest huh...

I suddenly thought of an idea on how to get us out of this situation but I couldn't share it yet because the others are busy retorting with each other through the intercom.

"What?!" (Lokki)

Pshshshsht*

"Oh the thrill is going to make me explode!" (Mathias)

"Shut up you pervert!" (Wren)

"Oh yes! YES! INSULT ME MORE! YEEEEEES!" (Mathias)

"AAAAARGH! I can't take it anymore! Why do I have to be paired up with this pervert?!"

"Uh guys? Are you forgetting that we're approaching the crystal forest we're we can... I don't know? CRASH maybe?" (Lokki)

"Chill dude!" (Zack)

Pshshshsht*

"Chill? How can I chill when there's a monster chasing us and up ahead is a disaster prone area?!" (Lokki)

"I dunno dude! Eat some ice cream?" (Zack)

"You know, I can't eat an ice cream right now since I'm in the middle of controlling the wavebot!" (Lokki)

"Alright dude!" (Zack)

Then there was silence.

This might be the chance to share this idea of mine.

So, I share it.

"Hey everyone! I have an idea on how to get us out of this situation."

"Awesome dude!" (Zack)

"Good job my dear!" (Mathias)

"Nice one! So what's the plan?" (Lokki)

"That's great Linel!" (Aeris)

"Speak!" (Ace)

"Hurry up and tell us already!" (Wren)

I didn't understand what they said since they're all talking at the same time but I'm guessing they're interested so I go a head and tell them.

"Here's the plan..."

By the way, if you are all wondering what's happening right now and where are we, let's go back a few hours from now to find out.

Basement 1

Docking port...

So yesterday we had our wavebot training during combat simulation and it was really horrible since Kana forced me to do things which I don't even know of.

As for today, we are all lined up here at the docks listening to uncle Huck's explanation of the "extra curriculum activity" that we're about to do.

When I mean all, I meant all the first year students.

I'm guessing we're around a hundred or maybe less since this school has only eight sections for the first year branch.

I don't know how many sections does the higher years have, though.

So anyway, here is uncle Huck's explanation.

Uncle Huck is walking to and fro like a commander while explaining to us military style.

"For today, all of you are going to a planetoid in a wavebot to extract one of this!"

(Note: A planetoid is a miniature planet. A good example of a planetoid is Pluto)

Uncle Huck takes out a small bluish crystal from his pocket and shows it to us.

Now, where have I seen that crystal before?

Uncle Huck continues...

"This is a crystallize oxygen..."

Oh yeah! That's the big crystal at the A.S lab. (Chapter 3 part c)

"In order to extract one of this, you have to first shoot a freeze beam before mining it with the plasma blade. If you don't do that, this will happen."

The crystalize oxygen that uncle Huck was holding, levitates from his hand.

After it levitates, uncle Huck sets in on fire and it exploded.

That was so cool.

Uncle Huck takes out another crystalize oxygen from his pocket and shows it to us.

"So, if you don't want to be blasted by this, shoot a freeze beam first."

Shoot a freeze beam first beam first before using the plasma blade...

That wasn't so hard to remember.

"Now, if you're all wondering where to extract one, just find a giant version of this. The place you're going to has tons of them, so you'll never run out."

Glad to hear that we won't be fighting each other just to get one.

"After you're all done, just bring the crystallized oxygen to your class hover trolly on your starting point. After that, you're free to do whatever you want since today is a weekend. Heck! You can even explore the place for all I care as long as you come back thirty minutes before the departure. If you don't, there's corporal punishment waiting for you. Is that clear?"

We all respond military style.

"SIR YES SIR!"

"Good!"

As uncle Huck said in satisfaction.

"Now, I'll be handing you each pair one crystallize oxygen so you won't forget what it looks like. As for the pairings, your pair will be the same as yesterday."

In other words, I'm stuck with Kana.

I'll make her do the piloting then.

"Now that's settled, go to your pair in an orderly fashion and choose a wavebot. After that, wait for further instruction."

As uncle Huck ordered, we all obey...

Or maybe not since we didn't really do it in an orderly fashion.

In fact we dispersed like a crowd after watching a concert.

Some of us are even happily chatting with one another.

"I SAID ORDERLY!"

And we got scolded by uncle Huck.

But nobody listened to him except for Aeris who stops walking.

"Sigh* Never mind! Just do whatever you want..."

Looks like uncle Huck gave up.

So much for teacher mode.

(Note: Linel calls Huck change of personality while teaching "teacher mode".)

Uncle Huck reverts back to being "Uncle Huck".

After we chose a wavebot, we wait for uncle Huck to distribute the goods.

And yeah, I already told Kana that she will be piloting and she agreed with no questions ask but she gives me a crash course instead on how to become her supporter.

"When I say thrusters, give me heat energy."

"Okay..."

"When I say freeze beam, give me cold energy."

"Yeah..."

"When I say..."

So to put it shortly, she's explaining her commands while I say, "Okay", "Got it" and "Yeah" as a response.

Though, I wasn't really listening to her since I could read her thoughts through the brain terminal and memorizing all that is just a pain.

So there's really no point of doing this.

While I was half-heartedly listening to Kana, my gaze suddenly wonders off elsewhere.

As my gaze wonders off, I saw Wren and Mathias pair who are a bit further away from us.

Mathias is currently staring at his cell phone while doing some awkward poses while Wren is staring at me grumpily?

What's her problem?

Wren seemed to notice me staring back at her.

So she quickly looks away while flicking her hair.

She probably did her usual "hmph!".

My gaze wonders off again and saw Sophie and Maple's right hand man pair.

As I remember correctly, his name starts with an 'F'. (Chapter 11 part D)

Anyway, Sophie, who's happily chatting with Maple's right hand man, noticed me staring at her and cheerfully waves at me.

She must be saying hello.

On the other hand, Maple's right hand man greeted me by pushing his glasses and nodding once afterwards.

Now that's a cool greeting.

I wanted to greet them back, but Kana might notice that I wasn't listening to her and zap me.

So I set my gaze elsewhere which is Eri and the pink short hair girl from the Luna fanatic club pair.

Well the two looks awkward together since Eri is just standing there while smiling and the pink short hair girl is staring at her cell phone while her eyes are sparkling.

I couldn't take the awkwardness and set my gaze somewhere else which is the tall black hair boy from the occult club and the purple pony tail hair girl from the Luna fanatic club pair.

The purple hair girl looks nervous for some reason while the tall black hair boy is talking to her calmly.

How do I describe them?

They certainly don't look like a couple so...

An older brother trying to calm down her younger sister?

Just looking at them reminds me of Lin and Lem.

Anyway, I have nowhere else to look at, so I set my gaze back to Kana and looks like she's done explaining since she's fidgeting with her beloved cell phone.

I wonder what she's doing with that thing.

Since she's distracted, I could find out by taking a peek.

She won't probably notice me peeking since she's so fixated on what she's doing.

So I went a bit closer to her and take a peek but before I could even take a glimpse, uncle Huck calls our attention.

"Ehem!"

Both of us look at him.

"I hate to interrupt you two but here's your crystallized oxygen."

Uncle Huck hands over the crystallized oxygen and I took it.

After that, uncle Huck taps me on the shoulder, gives me a thumbs up with a stink eye and a strong pat on the back which is really painful before going towards the other pair.

"Aw! What the hell!"

As I said while rubbing my back to relieve the pain.

All of a sudden, Kana speaks.

"Too close."

As she said that, I noticed that we are indeed too close to the point that I could actually hug her.

"Right..."

I said and took a few steps back afterwards.

After that, Kana continues what she was doing.

Suddenly, I felt like someone is about to stab in the back.

I look around to see where's that sensation coming from.

As I did, I saw Wren who's whole body is on fire while looking at me like an angry cat.

Mathias is trying his best to calm her down.

Then again, what's her problem?

I decided to ignore them and look elsewhere like nothing happened.

As I did, I saw Aeris staring at me while Ace is trying to call for her attention.

What's up with that?

While I was thinking to myself, a siren with an announcement is being played by the speakers.

Weeeeeeeeeeooooooooweeeeeeoooowweeee...*

Attention students! We are approaching our destination. Get on board your wavebots immediately and be ready for take off! Attention students! We are approaching...*

As we heard the announcement, we all got in our wavebots.
